Food Chicken Fried Rice Roast Pork with Vegetables

I visited Taos restaurant a couple of days ago and this is my review. The food was pretty good I got the soup with the chicken and the rice it was really good and dumplings I also got that I would say the dumplings you should not get them because they were a little dry but if you had some soy sauce a little better. The service was pretty good the man came and served us right away he was very nice. The ambience was like very homey and like felt very nice it felt like I was at home eating Chinese I would say..... The only reason why it gets three stars is because I feel like Chinese food just like needs like a proper vibe to it and like if I don't have that proper vibe I cannot enjoy the Chinese food like I can before when I go to my favorite Chinese place it's called. thank you for reading my review have a good day go to toaos restaurant

Best Chinese food I have had in the Hudson Valley hands down. Everything was delicious and fresh. If you miss the classic sit down meal at Chinese restaurants this is the spot for you. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. Will be back for sure

Great food very authentic. Host was fantastic and very engaging. Tried several appetizers which were delicious. The dinning room is large and super clean. Menu has lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Nice to be able to sit and have a meal that's not in a take out setting. Look forward to going back.

This place used to be John's Harvest restaurant that had been a local restaurant for decades. I heard from a friend that they liked this new place so I decided to try them out. There is a separate entrance for to go and one for dine in. The menu is a little different from your typical Chinese food place. I ordered steamed dumplings and pumpkin pancakes. The dumplings were tiny and flavorless and the pancakes were burnt. I am reluctant to give a poor review since they are a new business I think and I would like to give them another shot before possibly editing this review. However, I would suggest trying this place out if you are a true Chinese foodie. Maybe the other items on their vast menu are prepared better.

We were passing by and stopped by. Overall it is good -- the food was tasty and served pretty fast, hit the spot right. The service is not too bad, just a bit different. We were eating while the waitress got into a pretty heated discussion with a customer. While she came to talk to us, she seemed very sweet and helpful.

There are not a lot of really good Chinese restaurants in this area. For us, Middletown is a 45 minute drive but when we're in this direction, we love to visit Tao's. Large menu, with sometimes amusing English (I especially like the Cooked Wheaten Food category--noodles and dumplings). The "All-Day Lunch Specials" include soup and rice and are the best deal but if you want authentic and exotic items, you can work your way through the rest of the menu. And I know a lot of reviews complain about the owner's rudeness. She is brusque and non-nonsense but we have never experienced rudeness and she gives us whatever we ask for. Maybe she has softened, as most of the recent reviews have not cited rudeness.

Was craving some authentic Chinese food while driving around Middletown, and found Tao's through a quick Yelp search. The restaurant is easy to miss when driving on the main road because it doesn't look like your typical Chinese restaurant. I stopped in at 1130am on a Monday, and Tao's was completely empty. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman who I believe was the owner, who handed me the cleanest and nicest feeling menu. If you go, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about!! The menu had SO many great selections. I was excited and surprised to see that they offered a winter melon and pork belly soup (so uncommon to find this in restaurants, especially up in Orange County), so I knew I needed to order it! Both the winter melon and pork belly were both sliced thin; and the flavor of the soup was very good. For my meal, I ordered the sliced fish in chili oil - it was so unbelievably good!! The fish was nicely marinated and the texture of it was just perfect. The chili oil sauce LOOKS extremely spicy because it's super red, but it really wasn't too spicy or overbearing - just the right amount of heat for me. The portions of both the soup and the fish were large and can be split between two people. I'm so excited to have found this place and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait to go again!

If you check out my posts, we love Korean BBQ. Unfortunately, the meats were all under seasoned. The pork belly was really bland, I tired dipping into the sauces but even that couldn't enhance the taste. My son loves egg soufflé and if you see the picture, this does not compare to the egg soufflés we've been to. Unfortunately, even the kids had a literal bad taste in their mouth. The cooking area was small and the heat not strong enough that after cooking the first 6 half strips of thinly sliced pork belly, we had to wait 7 minutes for the next batch to cook. Yeah, the place does look very deserted but picks up after 7-7:30 pm. Reading other reviews, I'm glad that some people find the place great but for Korean style BBQ and meat flavor, they totally missed the mark. You can definitely improve a lot on this.

Honestly it was refreshing to get good service that felt real. So the beef Ttukbaegi bulgogi, I thoroughly enjoyed, a lot of beef and well flavored and not an overkill of veggies. But would loved some more mushrooms though. The sauce/stew itself was really good, I keep drink it and pouring over my rice. I found the rice okay, but definitely jasmine over hard boiled rice preferred. I liked side salad and wish I had more, it had a-bit of spiced edge and was better than the typical ginger dressing you get. The bubble tea was perfect, not overly sweet and generous on the size of it, but definitely would do better in another glass since straw could not reach the boba pops well enough. another note, always appreciate a place that gives you large glass to refill your water.

Definitely I will. So the warm Dan Dan noodles were good, well spiced, but not overwhelming and noodles themselves were chewy. Sizzling shrimp, first huge jumbo shrimp so very generous on portions, plus cooked just right and bathe completely in the sauce, plenty of diced onions and peppers and mildly spicy over all. Chicken in chili oil was my favorite, I mean a whole cut chicken fit in that container, both white and dark meat, was tender and moist, plus the chili oil was just right spicy level without being assertive. This place I find special considering it's more of authentic Chinese cuisine rather than the typical Americanized version, that alone is a big draw for this place.

First time for me, and hopefully not the last. Unfortunately, I live in DC but this will definitely be on the list of favorite restaurants to return to. FOOD: Holy Shabu-moly! The fish cake, veggie, noodle, dumpling, sauce selection was too much. Seriously, I mean that literally. Patrons are paralyzed by the paradox of choice. Fewer options would help me focus on the essentials and allow me more time eating than deciding. Lol. Honestly I wish I would have just focused on ordering the meats. SERVICE: We had a young waiter who was very attentive, professional, accommodating, and understanding. Also, an older gentleman who I can only imagine was a manager, stopped by to fill our water glasses and ensure we were happy with everything. FACILITY: Not exactly what I would call spacious, especially if this restaurant was packed, but it was very comfortable, especially since we had a large wheelchair. The bathrooms were immaculate. VERDICT: Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.
