Several friends recommended this restaurant. The location looks very clean and attractive. I ordered the happy family. The sauce had a brownish red color and a slight sweetness that is unusual for happy family. It was a bit pricey and over sauced, but I would order it again and ask for the sauce on the side or ask to substitute the garlic sauce to make it more savory. Worst experience I've had within a 20-mile radius of Walden. BBQ ribs on the bone-Coated w a sauce in an attempt to hide their dryness. Pork fried rice-The driest rice which was also a brownish tint. It wasn't yellow at all. I threw the entire quart out. General Tso Chicken-Coated heavily w a sauce to hide the taste of the unseasoned chicken. I tasted like it was a day from going bad. Egg roll-Bite size. 1/2 the size they should be. I recommend you go to Green Jade if in mood for Chinese in Walden. They have also gone downhill and serve kid size egg rolls. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clearly clean which is a huge bonus. The food is consistently good and tasty with flavor and nice portion sizes. My biggest complaint is the dumplings; the dough is too thick and the filling is bland. I've had other dishes though that were filled with flavor so this isn't a big deal. The new is starting to spread they are still open because the wait for your order and depending on the time you arrive the line to get in the building is surreal. While the Chinese food last night was decent, we both agreed we've had better. Being I am a huge Thai food lover we tried it again tonight for dinner and I have to say the Thai?!? They were poorly trimmed and very fatty. The flavor was where it should be but nothing I would brag about. The decor is nice and it's quiet but the seating is bad. Great healthy steamed options, like chicken with broccoli & greenbeans, very large portion, served with side sauce, brown, like in chicken & broccoli, but on the side, so guest can use as little or as much as they like-vs- regular chicken & broccoli slathered in sauce. ordered take out 5/28/19. it was a rainy day and I walked in and was greeted by the cashier, i ordered lunch special B-B-Q spare ribs with pork fried rice, the cashier did not rush my order and when they short my change he borrowed from the tip jar to give my change and apologized for being short, so waited less then 10 minutes to receive my food, he offered me utensils and a plastic bag to keep my food dry. I declined the bag since I parked close. I was thanked for my take out and I find service for takeout very good. so as for the food, the ribs were freshly made and it was nice to get spare ribs that had sauce on them and off the bone tender. I found the pork fried rice, lacking, it tasted alright and was pretty base with only pork pieces and fried egg pieces. the rice portion was rather small, usually other places are more generous with the rice, was disappointed with that. other then lunch specials most items are pricey, but the food quality was good. read more

Not what it used to be. Food was inedible. Greasy and tasteless. The shrimp in the Lo mien was mealy and tasted like it was precooked frozen that they cooked more than once. The mu shu pork needed some spice or sauce. It was flat and flavorless. Even the wonton soup needed flavor. Maybe a change in chefs is needed or maybe's a change in chefs is the problem. Called to place an order and the man that answered the phone was extremely rude. I asked to make sure they took credit card and he asked as if I was asking a foreign question. After 2 minutes he finally answered my question. I started to place my order and asked him if I could get a spring roll instead of an egg roll an was told to look at their menu before calling. This Chinese restaurant is a nice change of pace for the area. The food is a couple notches above takeout and they have proper pupu platters. The exotic drinks are hit or miss. I have to say... yes Betty not there it's missing welcoming factor but they also have a Thai menu and the green beans chicken is so tasty. Anything they make with brown sauce is just delicious. Ok, so I went into Daxxon for dinner and I must say, I am NOT impressed. First off, I ordered a drink called "The Zombie" and it tasted basically like juice. When I told my waiter that I did not like it, he told me that it was already made so he couldn't fix it for me. Okay, no big deal. Next I ordered the Tin Tang steak off of the Chef's Specials. It was described as a steak topped with chicken, broccoli, onions and a brown sauce. It was vial. It tasted nothing like steak. The taste made me think that it was fried in the same oil as seafood. The waiter did not come to check on us. We had to flag him down to get the check. Just so this review isn't all negative, I do like the boneless spare ribs that Daxxon serves. All in all, I will not be choosing Daxxon as a dine in spot in the future. read more

Disappointed and disgusted. They gave us a wrong takeout dish and when I called they told me to drive back and they would give me the correct order. It was my daughter's dish and she tried the one they gave us but she didn't like it. I drove back and waited. They then refused to give me the correct meal unless I gave back the used one my daughter tasted. Gross. During the COVID crisis they wanted to take back a used meal. I argued with her, and there was never any apology from them as well. The manager tried to blame me for for the wrong order when it was clear what I ordered. The kid at the desk even admitted I was right. She said no soup for you unless you give me back the old order. Luck I had it in my car but I will never go back there. A Village of Walden mainstay. We go to Daxxon on occasion and have always had a good meal, either in-house or for pick up.

I used to order from this place a lot but the quality has really gone down the tubes. I paid for chicken and broccoli but what I got was bland, tasteless almost all broccoli. I actually had to add salt to this dish. Also, the broccoli tasted like it had been sitting in still water before being cooked. Absolutely horrible. The egg roll was also bland and mostly all cabbage. The pork fried rice tasted like it was made from leftover rice. I literally needed a palate cleanser after only a few bites. Another thing, I asked for extra sauce and what I got were three measly packets of soy sauce and three packets of duck sauce in an order that was supposed to feed 3-4 people. Seriously?! I spent well over $30 and was only given a total of 6 packets of sauce for bland Chinese food. The next time I'm craving Chinese food, I'll drive two towns over for real Chinese food. This is unacceptable and will positively be the last time I will be ordering from this place. Avoid at all costs! There are much better options in the area. read more

There is another place not even a mile from Daxxon and they are cheaper and the food is way better. I have also found them to have an attitude.
