My wife and I moved to Walden from long island ny. After searching high and low for good Chinese food, to no avail, we were gonna chalk it up that there's no good Chinese food up here. Then we tried this little place in Walden village, Ming Jie's house. So far, everything we've tried from them is excellent! Not only that but they're polite, they deliver, they never screwed up our order and if you go to pick up, they're not cheap with their condiments and fortune cookies. They leave them out for you to take whatever you need. I highly recommend this place. By the way, you can dine in. They have a small dining room..... not the prettiest. There's a wall that looks unfinished from when they had to make provisions during the pandemic, and they never took it down. Also, they serve you with paper plates and plastic utensils...... weird but who cares, their food is very good! And when you special order, they do it.

This place has been in Walden for quite a few years. I figured I would give it a try. I ordered a sesame chicken combo platter and a side of Vegetables lo mein. It was $19. Thought that was a bit expensive for Chinese food. Being last week I had Chinese in Newburgh and the combo platter was $6. But anyways. I think I'm spoiled by eating chinease in the city. The menu is the same as every Chinese spot. The egg roll was a bit dry. Def not fresh made and hand rolled. The rice was a bit dry also. The chicken was good. I mostly ate the chicken. The veggie lo mein was the best thing. It was not swimming in sauce. lite in sauce. The veggies had a great crunch to them. Normally a lo mein can feel heavy after you eat it. Like taking a nap. This was not the case. I felt good. I would order that again. Again the chicken was good. But the rice was dry. Maybe it was just a bad night. I also have to remember this is not MR chow or TAO. For a local spot it's good. Overall. I will be back here in sure at some point when I'm visiting friends. Give it a try. I'm 50/50 on the food. But I would come back

We ate here yesterday, on our way to Angry Orchard. The restaurant is super clean, the owners were so friendly, the food was amazing, and very inexpensive. I got the Cantonese stayed wonton soup. It was so yummy. They have great lunch specials with tons of food. I highly recommend this spot.

Better than expected, especially in small-town upstate NY. The service wasn't great: I had to flag the non-busy server down to get more water and another beer. But the food was decent for mainstream American Chinese. The General Tso was a little sweet for my taste but was fresh and cool properly.

Excellent Chinese food. Eat in or take out. Their Staff is awesome. The only negative thing is, they don't deliver to MONTGOMERY.

Everything was packed perfectly and nothing was missing. They even provided a cardboard cup holder for the drinks. At the counter, you can take your own cutlery, napkins, candy, and chopsticks. Everyone enjoyed the food. Mine was shrimp panang curry and I also tasted some mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, chicken satay and duck drunken noodles. They do have a smaller lunch portion, but I opted for the regular size which was enough for 2 meals. The panang curry hit the spot and had just the right spice level for me. The mango was perfectly ripe, thai iced tea perfectly sweet, chicken satay was tender and came with 2 sauces. The duck drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a good duck to noodle ratio, but not really spicy. I did notice the restaurant was a bit cold inside, but I got takeout so did not stay to eat. Would love a way to pre-order pickup online - the websites available would only allow delivery ordering. Would order takeout from here again.

But if the food keeps tasting like this, I may have to reconsider my entire personality. The second we walked through the doors, everything slowed down. Soft lighting, warm energy, the smell of fresh spices in the air, quiet conversations floating through the room -- it didn't feel like walking into a restaurant, it felt like walking into someone's home. The kind of place that makes you instantly exhale without even realizing you were holding tension in your body. Nothing about this place feels rushed. The atmosphere invites you to stay awhile. To eat slowly. To talk longer. To actually enjoy the people sitting across from you. We started with the tempura battered vegetables and good lord... crispy, fresh, addictive. Then came the Red Dot salad -- easily one of the best chopped salads I've ever had. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, every bite tasted intentional. And then the tiki masala arrived and honestly... it felt comforting in a way food rarely does anymore. Warm, rich, healing, like the culinary version of a hug from a stranger who somehow already understands you. You can feel the love in this place. In the food. In the atmosphere. In the people. If you're in a rush, grab takeout. But this is really a place meant to be experienced. Sit down. Stay awhile. Eat, talk, laugh, savor. Total eat, pray, love energy.
