This was my first time here and I had a great experience. I dined alone at the bar, at about 1 pm on a Sunday and got served right away. There's $5 mimosas on Sunday with 4 different flavors. I had the chilaquiles which was only $7 and I added steak for $5. The salsa was great, the eggs over easy just like I like them and the steak medium as I asked! We came to visit MKE for the day and needed a place for brunch. This place was extremely nice and the food was amazing. I got the Chimichangas and they were very different from what I was expecting but in a great way!! The wrapping was extremely fluffy and crispy. I got it with steak which was definetly the move! Very well priced too! We also got the carnitas hash bowl which was amazing! It had some sweet almost korean tasty sauce in the carnitas which was so good. Highly recommend this place! read more

I have been here twice and each experience was phenomenal. The food was excellent. The service was even better. I don't think I have ever felt more welcomed by any waitress, anywhere. When it comes to going out for breakfast or brunch, I have always had a hard time finding a place I truly enjoy. Though it's a bit of a drive for me, Orenda will now be my go-to spot. I no longer have to rack my brain for options I really don't enjoy much. I can't really remember what I had to eat on my first trip, but I certainly remember it was "Bottomless Bloody Mary Day". May be the reason I forgot my meal??..Haha...It actually was way back in March, pre-Covid. I just don't remember what I ate 9 months ago. Whatever it was, I know it was excellent and the service was too. My last visit was on Christmas Eve with my daughter. I had the Corned Beef Hash. Honestly it was the best I have ever had. No drinks this time, just coffee. My daughter had tea. My coffee was excellent and loved the fact I was offered French vanilla creamer. Sometimes restaurant coffee is watered down tasting. Not here. It was perfect. We also just got a kick out of the honey jar offered for my daughter's tea. It was a neat little touch, unlike some places that would just give you a few packets of honey flavored corn syrup. Overall this place is a just a gem. Classy, clean, and friendly. Chliquiles with pork belly is $11. Flat out amazing! I agree with the other reviewers who say they don't know why this place isn't packed for brunch. The chiliquiles alone is $8 and you can add your choice of meat for a few dollars more. My daughter had the carnitas with it and was really impressed! The sauce, chips (seemed homemade) and the side of avocado cream was a perfect bite. Others in our group ordered omelettes and were equally happy with their meals. Staff was very friendly and you can even call ahead for reservations. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem! read more

Omg - it has been FOREVER since I've been THIS impressed with local food. We visited on a Sunday around noon and it was relatively quiet. We had reviewed the menu online and changed our minds several times before selecting the Carnitas Hash and the Pulled chicken and Poblano skillet. The very first bites sent me into a tailspin as I could not believe the mix of flavors so expertly put together in this dish. We can't wait to continue to make our way through this menu. The staff wasn't as attentive as I felt they could've been being as it wasn't busy but I'm in the industry and give the benefit of the doubt bc maybe they were doing side work or who knows... they we're friendly. The only downfall I feel could be why they weren't as busy as I would think they would be, is the neighborhood it's in? Across the street was a homeless person urinating, and it was a lower income neighborhood... that does NOT bother us or steer us away at all... but that COULD be why it maybe lacks patrons. The food is Mexican inspired expertly prepared and served by a friendly, professional and efficient staff. So far we've been lucky enough to be seated immediately for our visits but I don't expect that to continue much linger. We had been wanting to check this place out for some time and figured we'd go for breakfast. Lots of great choices on the menu but I ended up going with the Smoked Chicken & Poblano Skillet, which consisted of breakfast potatoes with pulled smoked chicken, fire roasted poblano peppers, Swiss cheese, pico de gallo, eggs, hollandaise sauce & fresh cilantro. Lots going on but worked well together and was very satisfying. It came with a side of pancakes which guaranteed I'd be leaving in a wheelbarrow. This is such a hidden gem for brunch in MKE. The food is so fresh and flavorful and there are so many things on the menu you don't see elsewhere. I LOVED the pork belly bowl. My new favorite milwaukee breakfast spot, great menu, nice atmosphere, parking on the street, friendly service, great food!

We came here for Sunday brunch, with a reservation in advance. They were understaffed or overwhelmed - which I can understand, except that they were completely unapologetic and standoffish about it (I overheard a couple checking in on a potential table after waiting almost an hour. The bartender said, "Look around - does it look like I have a table for 2?"). Our waitress seemed to struggle with the electronic ordering system and as a result we were missing sides and other additions to our meal. However, this isn't only due to tech issues - the bartender also brought us the wrong drinks and did not replenish our water even after we asked several times. The food was okay - mine in particular needed a lot more seasoning and was pretty bland. At the end of the meal, the food we did not receive was still on our tab. We asked to have it removed, which they agreed to do - but then they charged us for it anyway. We were given a code word "for our next visit" to notify the waitstaff that we should receive the missing food on the house. The fact that they have a system in place tells me that this happens too often. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

Maybe I would have had a Jack fire sauce or something. My friend had the rueben sandwich that looked like it was stacked well with the meat and sour kraut it was steamin hot with chips and said that she enjoyed it. They have booths and tables with deviders which was nice to see and the bartender/ waitress was very nice and took good care of us. They have different alcoholic drinks and drink specials as well. Fantastic menu- everything looks so good that it is hard to choose. As servers would deliver meals to other patrons we would oooh and ahhh at how tasty and well-presented the food looked. When our breakfasts were served we were not disappointed by our flavorful, fresh, dishes. The fresh chimmichuri sauce on the Eggs Benedict that I ordered knocked my dish out of the park. I absolutely loved the couscous underneath it -- Gave it some nice flavor, crunch, and a bit of carbs (just what I like)! The servers were super friendly and efficient, as was the kitchen. My friend and I had 2 dishes total at around 12 pm on a weekday and were in and out within 35 minutes. The portions are quite large for the price (~$11 per plate) so you might want to either split or take some home if you are having this for lunch. However, the taste is so good you might just want to eat the entire thing (like I did)! Definitely check this place out -- It's new and I am sure they would appreciate any local support.
