No one seems to remember how to serve English tea.

Beautiful breakfast place with some unique pancake and egg choices. Our server was excellent except she was the only one who could make drinks so she was also working the bar. Maybe the other two servers were too young. For some reason, although the food was promptly served, nice and hot, correctly, it took a long time to get the butter that my soft fluffy pancakes needed to be truly unhealthy for me. There are actually a lot of healthy choices here but I wasn't interested in that, healthy is how I eat breakfast at home. Good fresh hot coffee, bright and cheery atmosphere, better than the breakfast chains that are popping up everywhere.

My friend and I had brunch at Orenda on a late Sunday morning. We entered to a mostly full house but we were seated fairly quickly. The space is pretty open and fairly plain decor, but it doesn't feel cold. There is a full bar at the front. The lack of soft furnishings does mean it's a loud room. Our server was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and tasting tips. She clearly knew the menu backwards and forwards. Food and drinks came out quickly. My Paloma was very good and was one of a long long list of fun brunch cocktail and mocktail options to choose from. It was also customizable right down to whether I wanted a salt, sugar or tajin rim. I had the vegetable cakes with scrambled eggs and avocado crema. I didn't quite know what to expect, but the cakes were extremely light and quite tasty. My friend fully enjoyed the pork belly in her serrano bowl and said it was among the best she'd had, although some of the other elements in it were not as good. Overall this was a great experience and I'm eager to go back and try more dishes and a garlic Mary. There are plenty of interesting options for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

I learned about Orenda Café due to a failed attempt to have breakfast at another apparently extremely popular extremely packed location. In contrast Orenda was perfect for the one-to-one brunch conversation that we wanted to have a more quiet intimate spot. In addition, they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions of dairy, bread, and grains, and beans with sautéed vegetables and eggs, poached almost to perfection. I would definitely return for a small family breakfast or Sunday brunch with my spouse.

What a great meal. The restaurant looks like it was recently remodeled and is very cute and clean inside. The service was fabulous they made us a fresh pot of coffee and kept our glasses filled. We had an amazing breakfast and enjoyed the views from the front booth. I had the Carnitas Hash Bowl and I was rewarded with incredibly tender and flavorful pork nestled in spinach and cauliflower with a radish garnish. The eggs were just perfect and brought the whole thing together. The meal was so hot I had to hold off a bit to eat it. Highly recommend you try this place out.

Arrived on a Sunday mid morning for breakfast. I arrived first and was seated while I awaited my two guests. This was my 3rd time here. Greeted right away with friendly staff. I was able to order a beverage right away to sip. They have great bloody Mary's but I opted for a morning mule. I would recommend making a reservation even the day of if you are on a schedule. I saw you can make one easily on their site. It filled up quite quickly while we were there. The service was really great from start to finish. I had the chilaquiles with steak with verde sauce. You can get red but I loved the green and would get it again! The eggs and steak were cooked as ordered. Perfect! Also ordered were two breakfast bowls coming with pancakes on the side. There are many choices for the sides. The bowls were full of fresh produce, eggs and meat if you choose. All cooked perfectly and fresh to order. Your meal will come out hot as well. The space is friendly and comfortable. We sat right by the front window and we were quite warm. The space is also spotless, very clean and inviting. I would recommend this for anyone from family, friends, groups or a breakfast/brunch date. The menu is manageable not pages of variations. Every item is unique and there is something for everyone. I recommend this place to anyone traveling to MKE for brunch!

I ate at Orenda Cafe today and it was wonderful! I built an omelet that came with toast and hashbrowns and my friend got a bowl. Their menu has traditional items and a ton of unique or good flavor-combo items; lots of healthier options, too, that aren't boring or plain It all looked so good and I can't wait to get back to try other things! The space was bright and spacious and the bathrooms were super clean, too (I always look at those...!). So easy to access off 94 and street parking right in front. You should totally try it if you're looking for something fresh or new!

Fun place to get breakfast. The food was superb (lots of menu choices) and the service was excellent. I love places like this! Next time I'm in Milwaukee, I'll be eating here again!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Food was CRAZY GOOD. It truly was exceptional--you drive up and it has a small store front on a busy street--would never guess what we were in for. First, service was very good, ambiance is clean and neat--the way they cleaned the tables sooo thoroughly struck me --the menu has so many things that looked good but we settled on our choices and ordered--the food was a slam dunk. The salmon Benedict was off the chain. We all tried it and everyone raved. The omelette was top 5 I've ever had for sure. The chilaquiles were definitely the best I've ever had. In Milwaukee of all places!! This chef has skills--The food here is next level. A hidden gem for sure!!!

This is a hidden gem! I have to say this is my go to for breakfast. The food is amazing! I had a protein bowl the first time and also tried the corn beef and hash...O.M.G. so savory and the flavors are amazing! Kudos to the chef and the amazing menu! The ambiance is also A+

They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

It'll turn you into a cheese connoisseur if you're not already one. I fell in love with Gouda cheese as soon as I took a bite. We tried a classic cheese flight board and red wine only flight to pair with the different types of cheese. They made it into a gluten free spread so we had four types of cheese in lieu of the seasoned dried meat and gluten free crackers. The place is inviting, has nice decorations, great for going on a date or a casual catch up with your bestie. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They knew so much about wine and cheese, I would want a whole Documentary on cheese. You can also purchase cheese and other goodies to go! Come on Thursdays, they have a discount on cheese boards!

While the menu is limited and not cheap, staff were very friendly and walked us through everything before we selected a couple of things to try. Pretty much all of the cheeses and accoutrements were fantastic! One of the cheese on our plate was the espresso version of Bellavitano, which happens to be one of my favorites, so that was a nice little bonus for me. In addition to the board, we also went with the ricotta bites, which featured one sweet and one savory option, both of which we also really liked. The shop is cozy and if this was somewhere that I lived walking distance from, I could totally see myself coming here fairly regularly and having a little cheese and ambiance. During our time there we saw both couples on dates and old friends gathering for a drink and a nosh, all of which I found just wonderful. Really the only thing keeping this from a five star review was that the side items, such as the crackers were not plentiful enough for the cheese. I know that ratio can be hard to nail but it was not quite on the mark here, unfortunately. However, that would not be enough to prevent me from returning!

When we arrived for our 4:30p reservation, there was a line of half a dozen people hoping to get a seat at one of the bars first come, first serve. One is the alcohol bar and one is a sushi bar. Our server was amazing. She had great recommendations and made sure what we ordered was spaced out nicely as the tables are small and some of the dishes take up a good amount of space. We ordered bottles of mineral water. We don't really drink so this made the meal feel even more upscale and it went so well to cleanse the palate between courses. The food was phenomenal. There wasn't a dish we didn't love but extra about out for the hamachi kama yaki - grilled yellowtail collar. It was bigger and meatier than I expected. Delicious. The sushi here is amazing. I'm half Japanese. When I go to sushi places not near a coast, I usually don't get much raw aside from scallops and spicy tuna or salmon rolls. These hand rolls were absolutely fantastic. The seaweed wrappers had covers on them to slide off just before taking a bite so the wrappers stayed crispy. I would go back here just to order various hand rolls. The pad Thai was the best I've had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and smooth in my mouth with the light yet creamy sauce. I could only take a couple bites as we ordered more than we expected we could eat haha. I cannot wait to go back to Milwaukee to go back.

The reason I speak to the number of adults is because they were a bit inappropriate: they were very loud and I felt so bad because I have no doubt the group I was with disrupted the experience of other diners. I'm not a prude but even I was slightly embarrassed at times (I didn't know the group well and didn't anticipate the noise/volume). ANYWAY, I bring all that up because our server tolerated us and I was very grateful for him. Aside from being kind, he was very knowledgeable about trying/pairing items and making suggestions for us. The drinks were beautiful and the food was bright--fresh and flavorful. Bathrooms were spotless. I am looking forward to coming back on my own ;)
