I could not have had a better experience than I did at Dr. Tomkoria's office. Her staff was so kind & really make you feel at ease & comfortable, the front desk staff is very thorough & informational. The chairs & musical machines just set the relaxing tone for your visit. Being the very nervous & anxious person I am, this office was amazing & so patient with me. Best experience. Thank you!! read more

I was sent to see Dr. Tomkoria for an emergency root canal. They squeezed me on the same day. The office is clean, calm, and quiet with complimentary coffee, tea, and water. All the staff were super sweet, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were upfront about all costs and reviewed the treatment plan in detail before proceeding with the root canal. The doctor was highly skilled (I'm tough to numb up and can not take the typical anesthetic). She was very patient with me and reassuring and said she would work quickly since I don't stay numb for long. Procedure was done in 2 appts, both times were quick and painless. After each appt the staff called to check on me. Highly recommend this practice! read more

I cannot say enough great things about this practice. I was referred to Orange Micro Endodontics by my long time dentist. I did LOTS of research prior to choosing an endodontist. I saw that Dr. Tomkoria is Board Certified Endodontist with lots of merits. It was very easy making my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by the front office staff. She introduced me to the office, offered me tea, coffee or water; even offered to make it!!!!! Went over in details in the paperwork that I needed to complete prior to seeing the Doctor. I did not even wait but 5 minutes in the lobby before being escorted to the back. I met Dr. Tomkoria and she went over all the options after reviewing a basic x-rays. I had a lesion on the root tip of my lower left hand side. She advised me that the only way to tell the tooth was salvageable, is if she preformed a CT scan. I agreed to have the scan completed. Again, NO WAITING; CT was completed and she showed me the infected roots. Luckily, I did not have any fractures. She even looked at my other root canals to ensure me, I only needed to treat one tooth. She started my root canal today, it was so painless and easy; I fell ASLEEP!!!!! Her assistant did offer me to watch TV, but I declined. The dental chairs even have massagers!!! It was heavenly. Due to the amount of infection in my tooth, I will have another visit. She accommodated me today and got my pain under control. On my way out, her front office handed me all the paperwork that I had signed, went over my prescriptions and set up my next appointment. This is not an office I want to have to frequent, however, it was a GREAT experience and I highly recommend putting your tooth/teeth in Dr. Tomkoria's hands!!! Thank you to the entire team for making this process so easy!! You all ROCK. read more

I had my first root canal here about 4 or 5 years ago. And just had another yesterday. Much to my delight, I was able to get the same doctor who did an absolutely pain free job. My dentist had originally though that the intermittent pain that I had was due to grinding and made me a night guard. While it actually helped with my headaches, it did not solve my issue. The intermittent pain changed to constant and crazy every time I would eat or drink. I went to see Dr Tomkoria and she was able to see that I had an infection on the CT machine. I will say that a molar root canal is much more intense in that I though I had multiple teeth that needed treatment. However the doctor was straight up in telling me exactly which tooth was the issue. To be honest, I had doubts and I could swear it was the first not the second tooth plus one in the front. Well in the end she was right. The procedure although fairly quick was boring. I feel asleep a few times. I was only awoken when I started to snore. They were really cool about it. I want to get a great shout out to Jennifer who got me in on short notice and assisted with everything! I am happy to also say that the office has been kept up nicely. From the last time I was there they added a number of new gizmos that were cool to see in motion. All I could think as I drove home was how lucky I am to have been able to go there. read more

I needed a root canal and called the office to make an appointment. I called three days in a row and left messages as well as requesting an appointment on their website. No one returned my calls. I finally connected with them on the 4th day and their first appointment time was more than a week away. That was just for the consultation-I would have to schedule another appointment for the root canal. read more

I've unfortunately been lax with my dental care in the past and I'm paying for it now (literally) as I had a large cavity in my back molar. It caused me so much pain that I ended up in the ER and called my dentist - who is fantastic btw - and she referred me to Dr. Tomkoria after I called her in pain over this tooth. Dr. Tomkoria was able to see me the same day. The office was super nice and helpful. I had to wait a while because she was fitting me in and I was more than happy to wait. Dr. Tomkoria was nice and very informative. She suggested the 3D scan of the tooth because the traditional x-ray would not be able to see the depth. They let me know that this was not going to be covered by my insurance but Dr. Tomkoria let me know that it would give me more information on what I wanted to do with the molar - either extract it or try to save it. She mentioned that since I do use the tooth to bite down and chew that it was worth looking at and I am glad I did. At first it was so busy that she was going to have to re-schedule me for the following day but she was able to see me that day. I felt only a tiny bit of pain from the numbing injection but almost immediate relief. I was always afraid of root canals and this was my first one ever so I was definitely afraid. Dr. Tomkoria and her assistant kept me calm and comfortable throughout the procedure and she was able to give it a temporary filling until I can see my dentist next week, where I can go in for a crown. I am appreciative of Dr. Tomkoria being able to see me and explain the charges of what the insurance covered and what didn't. I know there was a review about the cost of the 3D scan but it's because she wants to see how bad the tooth really is and if it can be saved. I walked out with zero pain and feeling so much better. I woke up late this morning because my body didn't feel the usual pain of the cavity I had. Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

They did a root canal wonderfully! Friendly employees and Endodontist! Hope I don't need their services for a long time though!

It's "white knuckles" for me at every dental visit....and there have been plenty over my years. I was referred to Orange Micro Endodontist over a year ago by Dr. Mark Avetoom...another gem....and my experience at Orange Micro took away my anxiety. From the moment you walk in the door, the extremely friendly and gracious staff eased my anxiety And I can't say enough about Dr. Tomkoria. She noticed my uneasiness and immediately chatted me up to take my mind of the drills and shots that were to come. Needless to say , I felt zero anxiety today and last week. Not that I wish I had to have dental visits weekly, but if you have lots of work to be completed, please consider OC Micro Endodontist for your care. Emphasis on CARE and professionalism. read more

Went for a root canal due to a bad tooth. The tooth only hurts with pressure. Had to pay extra money for non cover xrays per my insurance. It took two visits to perform the process. Each visit was about 1.5 hours each. After the process the tooth is super sensitive and has more pain than before. Unable to brush the teeth. The only option was to do another root canal or remove the tooth. This is my experience, you may have better luck. I have to see another dentist to see if my tooth can be saved. This review does not cast fault or blame. Just what happened. Wish the procedure was successful. read more

I was getting pain in my lower left molar that had previously had work done but ended up getting infected. Was in a lot of pain when biting down on that tooth. Came here cause I was referred by my mom. The endodontist is very nice. Experience was good, once I got numb the root canal was an efficient process. Everybody is different when it comes to their teeth, but there was only a little discomfort nothing different from getting a cavity filled. It also sometimes takes me a long time to get numb, but the endo was patient and shot me up till I was ready. I'd recommend anyone needing some assistance with painful teeth to get work done here. read more

I got recommended by a friend to get my root canal done here. I'm definitely happy i took her advice. The procedure was very quick and painless. Even getting the xrays was very comfortable, no pain. DON'T EVER COME TO THIS OFFICE. I had root canal surgeries at this office 2 years ago from my general dentist's recommendation. The doctor told me to suffer the pain at least 6 months to 2 years after the surgery until I felt normal. Two days ago, I had to go to Emergency Room due to the root canal infection. The doctor said the infection could have affected my brain's blood cells if not treated right away. I could have died if I kept waiting for the recovery as she recommended. I paid about three thousands dollars for the root canal surgeries for NOTHING. I would have been better off setting three thousands dollars on fire than seeing this dentist. read more

*****First things first, the issue you care the most about: there was NO pain. Other than the initial shots to numb me, there was no pain with the root canal procedure, even if removing the dead or dying nerve sounds painful. (There will be some pain/discomfort after the shots wear off, but that's expected for any surgical procedure and a few ibuprofen pills should take care of it. For me the post-op discomfort was gone after 2-3 days.) *****Second, if your general dentist sent you to an endodontist such as Dr. Tomkoria, that's because they are root canal experts. From what I understand endodontists are specialists and root canal is pretty much all they do, day in and day out. So instead of having a general practitioner work on your tooth, why not go with a specialist whose singular focus is on the very procedure you need? For me the decision was easy, I want an endodontist to do my root canal. (The price of a root canal is higher at an endodontist's office, but for me it's worth it, see my third point below.) *****Third, differences in available equipment can make a difference. My general dentist said he was sending me to Dr. Tomkoria because he suspected that my tooth has more roots than his x-ray machine can see, and as an endodontist Dr. Tomkoria's office has what's called a cone beam x-ray, which is basically a dental CT scan that takes a detailed 3D picture of your tooth and its roots (not the whole head). With the 3D picture, chances are that no root would be missed during the procedure (and you obviously don't want to miss a root because, well, that's the reason why you need a root canal in the first place). Also, if your root(s) has a crack, my understanding is that the cone-beam x-ray can catch that, while a regular x-ray can't (if you have a crack in your root then unfortunately you can't do a root canal, you will have to have the tooth extracted and consider an implant). *****Fourth, I personally like the staff. Unlikely some other reviews I see here, I found everyone at the office to be friendly. The staff also called me twice after the procedure to check on me, which I found reassuring. As to Dr. Tomkoria, she was very professional and answered all the questions I had (which was a lot), and she worked in an efficient manner and I was in and out of her office in under an hour for each of the two visits. No problem there. All in all, obviously I don't want to have "another" root canal, but I would highly recommend Dr. Tomkoria's office if you need one. Good luck! read more

Dr. Tomkoria is the best. My husband and I have great experience with her and her staff. I had been suffered with tooth pain for years after I had my root canal done by other dentis. So I went to them to see why my tooth was hurting. They took x-rays and didn't see anything wrong with my tooth. So they wanted to do a 3D scan which would be $195 but would not be covered by my insurance so I said no because they said there was no guarantee they would see the problem. Dr. Tomkoria said I should wait until my tooth really hurts so than I can get a root canal and come back. That is the most ridiculous thing in the world for the dentist/specialist to say. Now they are charging me $209 for doing absolutely nothing to fix my tooth. read more

Don't come here! 1. Appointmt at 8:30am today, didn't get call in until 50 minutes later. Patient's time is not valuable to them. 2. Over the phone verified twice with front desk staff, be sure they are IN NETWORK with my HMO insurance. Jeanette at front desk confirmed yes, and no co-pay. 3. Dr. Anita Tomkoria was robotic. Our referral slip marked 2 teeth when in fact there were 4 teeth infected needed attention. She refused to check on the other 2 teeth unless they were included in referral list. 4. Delta dental customer service CONFIRMED the referral is a permission to see specialist, all works doesn't need to be list out. Dr. Anita should be able to exam endo related issues holistically, not limited to what's marked. This office won't accept this confirmation. 5. Finally, realized, this office was not in DeltaCare approved list. They lied to get us into their office. Un-ethica! 6. We left this office around 10am + today. Wasting almost 2 hours at this location, still didn't get consultation as scheduled for. I had a referral from my regular dentist to see Dr. Tomkoria about a tooth that was bothering me, so I called this office for an appointment. The woman who answered the phone gave me a choice of time: 11 a. m. or 1 p. m. on a certain date. First I chose 1, then a few minutes later I changed my mind, called back, and the woman said she changed the appointment to 11, same date. It was no big deal--until it was. Strike one: the day before the appointment, a woman who spoke poor English called, called me "Mrs. Jensen" (it's rude to assume a woman is married), and wanted to know if I was coming in for my appointment the next day. I told her I was and got off the phone. Strike two: she called back almost immediately and wanted my insurance information, like she expected me to just drop everything and hunt up my insurance information on demand. I refused. Strike three: I got to the office yesterday in time for my 11 a.m. appointment. The woman at the desk said, "your appointment is for 1." I tried to tell her the appointment had been changed weeks ago and she argued with me. There were three women in the office and none apologized for the error or in any other way tried to remedy the situation. They all just smirked and laughed and taunted me with fake courtesy. I left, and obviously I'm never going in again. read more
