I had my first appointment here and was shocked and mildly amused at how they much they tried to upsell and gave me a reference to an orthodontist that is conveniently nearby even before I said yes to wanting braces. Dr. Pham said they were colleagues in college, probably thinking it would make me trust them more but that only told me that they were probably are in business together and agree to hand patients to each other. I also didn't agree to do the filling they kept nagging me to do on that same day, and pay out of pocket even though insurance is suppose to cover it. I went on Yelp to see if it was just me and not surprised to see reviews about the same thing. If you go in for the cleaning that you orginally planned and they start throwing all these procedures at you to do, go get a second opinion or better yet, find a decent and trustworthy dentist elsewhere. read more

Most pestering practice I've ever been to. The dr tries to upsell you all sorts of things even when you firmly say no already. Whitening, mouthwashes, you name it. Last time I came here they told me I needed to go in for a root canal and gave me a referral for their preferred orthodontist. Also, every time I go here, I somehow always have to shell out close to $100 when my insurance is supposed to cover my cleaning. I started going to a different practice and the service and care is 200% better than I've ever seen from dentistry blossom. Someone who worked here also made me uncomfortable by pointing out my ethnicity and saying his ex was the same ethnicity as I was as if it's rare to see a Filipino woman in OC. He also started dropping Filipino phrases and names of Filipino food as if we were in a game of are you smarter than a 5th grader. Also, what's up with whoever handles your appointments? Simply send reminders and quit behaving like a telemarketer. I doubt you're getting paid by commission for the amount of texts you send out. read more

This review is specifically for Cindy in the front office as I only had a 10 minute encounter with Dr. M and I don't feel it fair for me to review her and her ability as a dentist. Dr. M was nice and very thorough. She wasn't comfortable working on my teeth as I have heart failure and have a long list of needs that indicate I need my dentistry work done in a hospital setting. Fair enough & totally understandable. Cindy is amazing. She's going above and beyond what needs to be done. She went out of her way to help me jump through some hoops regarding cardiac authorization. I'm happy to say after years of having problems with other dentists, I finally found a dentist Im claiming as my dentist. The staff at dentistry blossom is very kind and they make you feel so comfortable. Dr. Manchandia is the most gentle dentist ive been to. In addition, she's very clear with explaining procedures, explaining options, while being flexible to your needs and her prices are within range. Shes and on time dentist, so you're not sitting in your chair forever waiting for someone and she's clear about the time the procedures will take. I do not trust Dr. Dimple Manchandia and I would not recommend her services to anyone. When I took off time from work one weekday to get a cleaning, I expected the procedure to be free of charge for me because my dental insurance (Aetna DMO/HMO) completely covers regular cleanings with no copay. However, after I sat down in the chair for the procedure, before the procedure started, Dr. Manchandia handed me a confusing jargon-filled itemized bill for $325 and asked me to sign it. I was confused, and I told her that my insurance covered regular cleanings for free. She started explaining how HMOs work and implied that I didn't understand what a copay is. Since I was flustered by the situation, and since I didn't have my insurance benefits on hand in front of me, and since I was in a hurry to get back to my job, I just told her to go ahead with the procedure. The procedure lasted about 20, maybe 25 minutes. After I got home that day, I confirmed that my insurance does cover regular cleanings entirely. I later learned that Dr. Manchandia had apparently give me a "deep cleaning" instead of a regular cleaning. At no point before the procedure did she explain to me the difference between a regular cleaning (free of charge for me) and a deep cleaning ($300 out of pocket for me). Nor did she explain why she recommended a deep cleaning for me. She just assumed that I would be fine paying $300 extra for a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. A few days after the procedure, I spoke with the nurse on the phone who had been helping with the procedure and was present the entire time. The nurse told me that she thought the procedure had been a regular cleaning and not a deep cleaning, because it was so quick. Dr. Manchandia also tacked a $25 bottle of mouth rinse onto the bill for my cleaning (bringing the total up to $325) without asking me if I needed mouth rinse. First of all, $25 is expensive for a bottle of mouth wash. Second, she did not ask me if already owned mouth wash. She just assumed that I would be willing to pay her $25 for a bottle of mouthwash. I politely told her that I did not want to buy the mouth wash, and she removed it from the bill. I complained, and she eventually refunded my $300 bill. I also asked to get my x-rays. When I came into the office pickup my refund check and my x-rays, the receptionist gave me an envelope. I left office with the expectation and assumption that the envelop would contain high-quality printouts of my x-rays, such that another dentist could use them easily. However, I was wrong. The envelop only contained a single 8.5"x11" sheet of ordinary printer paper with about 20 small images, each about the size of a postage stamp. I'm not an expert, but doubt that those tiny images would have been satisfactory if another dentist had later wanted to see my x-rays. Thus, I had to contact Dr. Manchandia's office again, and request a higher-resolution, higher-quality version of my x-rays, which they then emailed to me. The nurses and receptionists where all polite and friendly. The office does not appear to run smoothly. read more
