A place even Grandma will love! Okay, okay, so I'm 70 years old (not sure how this happened). And I've been around the block, lemme tell you ... I had a dentist I loved, and then he suddenly disappeared. I showed up on Monday morning for my appointment, and all new signage was up. I asked the staff, and they had no idea. He'd just literally sold the business overnight and moved on. To this day we still don't know what happened. I didn't feel great about having a dentist take over that I was unfamiliar with, but it seemed to be okay. Then over and over, he kept recommending procedures that didn't seem necessary. He wanted cleanings every 4 months for no apparent reason. Then every other month he wanted to do a deep cleaning. I was constantly pressured to see their "preferred" periodontist. Every time I turned around, they needed to re-do a filling or re-do a cap. It just seemed weird. So I went for a second opinion, and that dentist told me "You don't need a cap, you just need to replace a filling. I was in-and-out, no hassle, no pressure, no fuss. Still puzzled, I began to research dental scams. I ran across a dentist from the east coast, and on his video, he outlined the top 10 dental scams. The old dentist had recommended 9 of those procedures! The video also used the example that if a dentist only makes $100 profit on a filling, but can make $2500 profit on a cap, the scam is to talk you into a cap. Wow. So I thought it'd be a great idea to find a nonprofit, because surely they wouldn't be into these scams. I found one I liked, and I love supporting nonprofits! They were okay for a little while. Then when I went in for routine x-rays and a cleaning, the dentist only cleaned 5 of my teeth??? I was puzzled when he said that was all that was needed. Seems I'd found the other end of the spectrum. On the one end was a guy who was recommending 9 unnecessary procedures, and on the other end, the guy only wanted to clean 5 of me teeth. aye aye aye Frustrated, I began to research again. I found Sunset Dental Arts and I liked the reviews. I gave them a try this afternoon. Clean bill of health, and no unnecessary procedures. (Imagine that.) They were warm, friendly, efficient ... and hey ... the dentist smiled and said, "We'll be cleaning ALL your teeth today." LOL! Couldn't ask for more that that! I'm a pleased customer, and I'm leaving 5 stars and smiling with ALL my healthy teeth! read more

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Cesar for his professionalism, patience, and amazing approach to his patients. He always works with great integrity and truly cares about his reputation and the well-being of those he treats. We've been working with Dr. Cesar for quite a while now -- he takes care of me, and some of my friends also go to him. I'm incredibly thankful for that. Most recently, I had a dental implant procedure with him, and it was a very emotional and nerve-wracking experience for me. But Dr. Cesar approached it with such understanding, attention, and care that the whole process turned out to be as comfortable and painless as possible. Thank you again -- doctors like him truly deserve to be recommended. read more

I highly recommend coming to Sunset Dental Arts in Orange. I have a very hard time at the dentist and stopped going for a while. I finally built up the courage to go when I talked to Alex on the phone and she was very nice. She reassured me that everyone would be patient. When I came in for my consultation, Alex and Alexa at the front desk were amazing. They continued to reassure me and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Olmos and his assistant Benia were the perfect duo for me. They were both very sweet, gentle, and supportive. They let me have small breaks throughout the cleaning which helped me stay relaxed. If you have a hard time and feel like you need to close your mouth, they don't mind. The last dentist I went to was very mean and yelled at me when I closed my mouth. The last dentist office I went to threatened to start over and charge me extra. That made me scared to go back so I have not been to the dentist in a couple of years. That was not the case here. They were very encouraging and turned the TV on to distract me. At Sunset Dental Arts, I felt truly cared for. I honestly can't thank Dr. Olmos and Benia enough for making this appointment smoother than I ever imagined. If you have dental anxiety, this is the place to go! read more

My visit to Sunset Dental Arts honestly couldn't have gone better. As soon as I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable--everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which really helped ease my nerves. The dentist was amazing: careful, compassionate, and clearly committed to making sure I was comfortable the whole time. What I appreciated most was how they listened. Right from the start, they asked if I just wanted to focus on the area that was hurting, and that's exactly what we did. No pressure, no extra cost--just sincere, focused care. It's not easy to find a place that balances professionalism with that kind of genuine attention, especially one that accepts Medi-Cal. I'm so glad I found them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

Okay guys, look no further, this is THE dentist you need! Between the dentists who only care about selling you 12 crowns and 7 root canals instead of small fillings, the ones who stop caring the moment they realize you don't own a gold mine and won't be shoveling gold nuggets to pay for the treatment they are trying to push on you even though you don't really need it and the ones that hurt you because they wanna rush you through the door, yeah I have seen it all, well Dr Perez is different and his staff is wonderful! They are very welcoming and always ready to help, they always try to accommodate you and your busy life. Dr Perez is very patient, he takes time to explain why x thing is happening, what to do to solve it and what to do to prevent it in the future, he is thorough and doesn't rush you in any way. He always makes sure that you have no pain and that you know what's going on. His assistants are also very professional and attentive to your need! I highly recommend!! 5 stars! read more

Front desk people were super nice, stayed on the phone with my insurance for an hour... that's dedication! The staff were both professional but also very conversational and welcoming. The dentists and dental assistants were very informative and honest. My last dentist always felt like they were upselling unnecessary procedures and services. The dentists here are honest and straightforward. Plus I ask a lot of questions out of curiosity, so I appreciate that the dentist seemed to enjoy answering and elaborating. read more

Fantastic spot for all your dental and oral care needs! I was nervous about getting my wisdom tooth removed. After being greeted by a professional and welcoming staff, I felt comfortable. Moreover, Dr. Cesar Perez Olmos realized I was nervous. Therefore, he gave me a tour of his practice and showed me his machinery and different technology. I was at ease after realizing I was in the best hands with an innovative Dr and up-to-date dental procedures. Before starting the process, he set the right expectations and reassured that I should not feel pain with the local anesthesia, only pressure. The procedure took less than five minutes. I was happy! MUST READ! I hadn't been to see a dentist in over 6 years! I was terrified trying to find a dentist who would understand and be kind to the fact I had gone that long without having seen a dentist. I called a so many places and most either didn't answer or the receptionists didn't sound too friendly over the phone. I called Sunset Dental and Margaret answered the phone so delightfully. I told her I was looking for a dentist for myself and my boyfriend and she didn't hesitate to get us both in for consultations right away! Upon coming in the staff was very friendly. The place was clean and had great energy. I met with Dr. Olmos and he was so kind to the fact I hadn't seen someone in so long and was happily surprised I had no cavities! I did need my wisdom teeth out so we scheduled an appointment for those. The following two weeks I came in to get my wisdom teeth out and after getting numbed I started to freak out! I'm scared of anything with my teeth or mouth so not feeling my mouth got me extremely nervous. Dr. Olmos was amazing, he assured me we didn't have to proceed if I didn't want to and gave me time to think about what I wanted to do. He didn't rush me and was extremely patient. All in all I went through with it and he was quick and very gentle. Didn't have any swelling or bruising after getting them out! I highly recommend Dr. Olmos and his staff. If you're scared of going to the dentist like I am you will not regret going to Sunset Dental! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but Dr. Cesar and his team made me feel very comfortable as a new patient. As I'm sure others can relate to, not all dental experiences are positive, so I was pleasantly surprised with my overall visit. The office itself is very spacious and the waiting room had nice personal touches that made the wait feel short. During my visit, Dr. Cesar was able to address all my concerns and made recommendations based off of what my dental goals were. I didn't feel pressured into doing any procedures I felt were unnecessary (which has been something I've experienced with other dentists). You can tell his top priority is that of his patients and I've already recommended him to friends and family. I also appreciate that his office has availability on some weekends! read more

I was so afraid of the dentist! But I'm not anymore after visiting Dr. Cesar. I'm excited to finally get my treatment finished!!

Dr. Olmos is so comforting I fell asleep during my root canal. No sleeping gas needed just regular numbing of the gums. Beside the numbing, it was a pretty painless procedure. I will continue to frequent Dr. Olmos dentist office from years to come. Margaret is a sweetheart and is so welcoming off rip. Diana and all the other dental hygienists that I have yet to meet is very accommodating, and their smiles especially Margaret's is what I'm striving to achieve for one day. Thank you for having such cool staff Dr. Olmos, and taking care of me. I did about 6-7 root canals total so far and it's been years since I smiled or bite properly. Finally for over a decade of suffering and not realizing that even medi-cal insurance alone could fix my teeth. I personally thought that would take over 20-30,000 to fix my teeth but no medi-cal alone. Thank you Sunset Dental! read more

By far the most enjoyable dental experience ever! I'm no fan of the dentist but Dr. Cesar and his team made the appointment so comfortable. Everything about this office exceeded my expectations and more. Definitely go to this office! You won't regret it! read more

a week ago New I would like to change my post to Charlie S. SR. My long time dentist (more than 20 years), decided to retire. Having a painful toothache I needed to find another dentist. After a googled search I found several dental practices in the area and decided on Sunset Dental Arts. I called to make an appointment and after arriving at the office I felt comfortable with the staff being very friendly and helpful during the Digital registration process. The office is really nice and clean with complimentary coffee available. Dr Olmos' working area has the most updated equipment , and he practices up-to-date dental procedures. He explained the procedure of removing my crown , filling the cavity , putting on a new crown and answered all questions to my satisfaction. While in the dental chair waiting for the filling to harden , the monitor with the x rays on was switched to TV and I was able to watch Netflix. I left without any pain and am actually looking forward to going back for my next treatment. a week ago Charles S, Sr. Shortly after leaving the Dental office, I was on my computer and noticed an Email,"Your dental appointment has been scheduled at Sunset Dental Arts." This was a pleasant surprise I encountered. Another one was the wheelchair ramp from the parking lot to the office, to accommodate those less fortunate. Dr.Olmos is a very professional, caring and considerate dentist who puts the dental health of his patients above all else. You are treated very well, giving you great care and making you feel a part of their family. I look forward to continuing my treatment here and am confident I am receiving the best dental care I can get. read more
