She was very nice when speaking to me, and ultimately that made my experience at the dentist wonderful. Dr. Abassi and the women assisting her were very kind as well. Dr. Abassi listens to her patients and they make sure that you feel comfortable once the procedure starts. I did not feel a single thing while getting my root canal done. The process was fast. Came in for a root canal and was greeted, welcomed and very well taken cared of by staff Cherry and dentist Dr Abassi from beginning with the X-rays, to explaining and showing where and how the work was going to be done. Office was clean and did not have to wait at all. Dr Abassi was very gentle in the procedure of root canal and attentive if I started to feel any discomfort checking to see if I was handling ok. Three words: Saved my life. They agreed to see me within two days for an emergency (everyone else was two weeks to three months..) and thank god. I had two infected root canals and it was so bad, I couldn't breathe out of my nose half the time. I was in full-panic mode by this point because I didn't realize what was going on. It might have just been a me thing, but this dentist is rough. She is not gentle while doing work, I felt pain I haven't had with my original dentist. Also, didn't appreciate that my appointment was at 2:00 but the doctor was still working on another patient so I wasn't seen soon. I believe that if you make an appointment, the doctor should be ready at least within that timeframe to see you or max 10-15 minutes later than that. I spent more time waiting than I did getting the root canal procedure. This experience made me appreciate my dentist 10x more, and I'm excited to not return here for work because I will be working hard to never get another root canal. To each their own, this is my opinion except for long wait time. read more

Dr. Abbassi is incredible! I recently went to another dentist who informed me that I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed AND the molars in front extracted as well due to damage from the wisdom teeth. At this point, I was so distraught and a nervous wreck about getting four bottom teeth removed all at once. I brought my xrays to Dr. Abbassi for a second opinion, and thank god I did! She completely calmed me down and informed me that I could save the molars in front of my wisdom teeth by getting root canals and crowns, explaining what the process would be and providing me with realistic options. I went to Dr. Farrah Abbassi's business for a consult about a partial root canal that had been started by another Endodontist. Her staff took a couple of bite wing x rays and then sent in the receptionist to tell me that the Dr. Abbassi wanted me to go for a $300. CT scan which our insurance did not cover. I just got up and walked out. Last year I had gone to different Dentists and Endodontists that never recommended I get a CT Scan. My Dentist was out and had referred me to Dr. Abassi who saw me asap. I ended up getting a root canal. Just the though stirs dread. I anticipated pain to some degree since I did not use anything to put me under. I felt NO pain whatsoever. Even the needles to administer the topical inside my mouth didn't hurt. I had a root canal done with a previous dentist 10 years or so back and it was painful and long, 2 1/2 hours long. But Dr. Abassi knew what she was doing and was done very quickly. A portion of the temporary filling chipping off and when I called the office Evelyn assured me that there was a filling below the temporary one, just to be careful not to chew on that side and keep it clean until my appointment to have my permenant one put in in a few days. (After Christmas). Overall, impressed with how well she knows her stuff. I had to bring my 7 1/2 year old son with me and he was all over the place and her staff did their best to keep him in one area. It was rather hard for me since I had a damn in my mouth and couldn't tell him to stop. But he calmed down, they were that good to him. Thanks very much!! read more

I have never had a worst experience with a dentist in my life then Dr Farrah Abbasi. What kind of doctor would tell her patient that an infection with her tooth will eventually go away without antibiotics or medication and might take up to 2-3 years. Dr Abbasi did just that. After returning to her months after months because of the ongoing pain and swelling from the infection she would state that this infection will eventually go away on its own and she would belittle me in front of her staff in her office by stating that she was an educated doctor and that I understood nothing and send me home again. After two and a half years of the pain coming and going and going back and forth with doctor Abbasi about the infected tooth, I sought another endodontist and explained my experience with Dr Abbasi and he recommended to pull my teeth. Now, while pregnant and this infection getting as bad as it is has gotten not only is my health and well being at risk but also my unborn baby in my womb. I upload the photo that shows the tooth with 3 roots has been infected while last time I saw her and told her about it, she yelled at me and said it's the other tooth and is not her work. Abbasi seems like a nice lady that really cares about patients but don't be fooled. The thing they care most about is how much money they can suck out of you and/or your insurance even at the tremendous cost to your well being. My teeth were badly broken below the gum level and could not really be saved. If she were an honest and caring endodontist, she would have recommended implants by another office or at least be truthful about how low the chance of saving my teeth was. But do you think she would do that and pass the opportunity to put in her pocket several thousands dollars for some quick tooth canal procedures? No, she would not hesitate to mess up your mouth and your life to make a few bucks while acting like she cares about you. She was very confident my teeth could be savaged after having tooth canal. She did a terrible job with the tooth canal and told me to keep waiting for almost a year on the badly patched-up teeth before getting it fixed permanently by a dentist. In subsequent check-ups, she 'tested' the teeth she glued up by pushing and pulling hard on them. This caused the bond to be even weaker which eventually led to some infection and loss of gum tissue. After the root canal, she also referred me to her dentist friend, Kiss, who was supposed to fix my teeth permanently. I went there for a couple of visits where they kept postponing it, stating they want to see how it develops, all the while my teeth were getting in worse shape. Eventually, they called me saying Kiss was not comfortable with doing the procedure and that I should look for someone to do it!?! The whole thing caused me significantly even greater stress and pain than I was already suffering. Eventually I had to get implants. The infection this office gave me and the waiting time they told me to do created even more complications for my implants, which in turn cost even more time, money and outcome of the surgery. The friendly appearance is just like fake shiny veneers covering up the real rotten roots underneath that are their thirst of money and lack of professional ethics. And the only thing that is somewhat unique about 'Unique Care Endo' is that, unlike other not-that-hard-to-find-nowadays unethical dental offices (I've been to some in my search for treatment, the best of these was https://www.yelp.com/biz/well-being-dental-irvine-4 which had been closed with many patients now pursuing lawsuits against them), they have the facade of grandmas' caring appearances to go with it. read more

Visited Unique Care Endodontics to look at an old root canal that had become infected and to get the tooth next to it a vitality check. Before the appointment I had to email my referral 3 times before they received it, minor inconvenience but unprofessional because they received all 3 but could not find them when I called to check. At the consult the dentist looked at my xrays then sent in the office lady to tell me how much the procedure would cost (around $4000). I was told I needed a root canal in BOTH teeth (no vitality test was done) and for the procedure I would need the gas and have my gum surgically worked on to clear the infection. When I asked about the vitality test they said, "she can just tell the second tooth needs the root canal." I felt the dentist and office staff was very pushy and unprofessional. Went with my gut instinct and got a second opinion. Turns out the infection was from a cracked tooth that cannot be fixed by redoing the root canal and that the second tooth was fine. Almost wasted $4000 on dental work that was not needed. Please take my warning and go somewhere else! read more

I went to their facility in Huntington Beach. My new dentist had missed me needing a root canal and it had become so infected it had filled my sinus canals and I was miserable! Luckily I was referred to Dr Abassi and instead of taking off the crown, doing a root canal and then going back for another crown (like my now ex dentist suggested) she drilled through the crown, drained a lot of the infection and I felt better immediately!! I had put off going to the endodontist for some time dreading the procedure, pain, expense and fear of the unknown.
