I have extreme sensitivity in a tooth with a 10-year-old pulp cap. Last May, I bit into an RX date…read morebar (I've had these many times) and felt sharp pain in tooth #4. For six months I dealt with sensitivity, mainly triggered by hot and cold. I could eat and chew just fine as long as I started chewing on my left side first. Last May, I spoke with my dentist, had X-rays taken, and he told me I'd eventually need a root canal. He didn't give me any other solutions, so I just waited to see if things would get worse. Six months later, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gharib's office because the sensitivity was getting to me (even though it was on and off), and I started feeling pain up my cheek. I was worried about potentially having an infection or, even worse, an abscess. Christine at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. It was easy to schedule an appointment. She told me that Dr. Gharib is very conservative and only recommends procedures when absolutely necessary. I figured that was just something she said to everyone. At my appointment, I had X-rays done and reviewed them with Dr. Gharib. He was very kind, soft-spoken, and answered my many (many) questions while listening intently to my concerns. I did not feel rushed at all--I felt like I was actually being heard. After his examination, he didn't see any infection on the X-ray, but it did show a slight fracture in the pulp cap filling, which could be the cause of the heightened sensitivity. He didn't pressure me to do a cone beam scan or even suggest it; I personally requested it because I wanted to be absolutely sure there wasn't an infection at the root, since that would make a root canal necessary. The cone beam scan confirmed I had no infection whatsoever--thank goodness. He sat with me for a long while discussing what I could do to help the sensitivity and the slight fracture. He said it might be as simple as replacing the filling with an inlay or onlay, but since my pulp cap is very close to the nerve, that carries the risk of needing a root canal if it fails. He suggested trying Sensodyne for a few weeks and then having my dentist check whether an inlay or onlay, to replace the filling, is an option. There's a chance that might fix the problem. After my appointment, I felt so much more at ease. I was relieved that I didn't have an infection and grateful that I actually had options before committing to a root canal. Dr. Gharib even wrote me a long email afterward, reiterating everything we talked about. That, right there, is a dentist who truly cares. If and when I ever need a root canal, I'll be going to Dr. Gharib. He is professional, honest, thorough, and welcomes ALL questions. All the positive reviews you've read are true. He actually listened, was personable, and made me feel heard during a time when I was already stressed and uncomfortable. Ramon, who took my X-rays, was just as kind and professional. He made the process feel comfortable, chatted to ease the tension, and even gave me helpful pointers about boot options and navigating insurance. That kind of care makes a big difference. What really stood out to me is that every single person I interacted with was personable and compassionate. Urgent cares can often feel overwhelming, crowded, or impersonal but this place felt organized, clean, and calm. People are quick to write bad reviews, but not always quick to acknowledge good service. The people here truly made my experience better during a hard and frustrating time. What a gorgeous facility, did not feel like an urgent care nor even doctor office waiting room, and even the rooms were a great size, extremely clean and pleasant to be in. The nursing staff was very friendly (Nick and Darling) and helpful and Dr Phil was super attentive to my needs and provided excellent care with little to no wait whatsoever. My dream come true, PAIN FREE root canal!!! Thank you Dr Mansouri! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Irvine Endodontics! If I could give 10 stars I most definitely would! I was in awful pain for two weeks, realized I needed a root canal and my first "go to" for everything is Yelp! Shout out to Yelp and Yelpers or I would have never found this jewel. My experience started with call to the office with a few questions, Karen was very kind, thoughtful, knowledge, helpful and assured me Dr Mansouri could numb me and I would feel no pain. I was apprehensive but confident Dr Mansuiru was the best. During my consult Karen gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to everyone, I immediately knew I picked the right place. Every person was warm, welcoming and smiled. Had my root canal two days later and absolutely zero pain. No other dentist has been able to numb me, Dr Mansouri had no problem, I was amazed. They gave me headphones, almost felt like I was in a spa, they created a very relaxing environment. Dr Mansouri was gentle, caring, patient and very nice! I left the office, quite relaxed (mostly from the sedative). Took a nap when I returned home then went to the beach! Two days later I'm doing great, was only a bit sore the morning after. After spending a week in pain and three days in excruciating pain, I finally went to my dentist to see what was wrong. He said I probably needed a root canal and referred me to an Endodontist in his building. I researched the Dr. he referred me to when I got home and wasn't impressed with the ratings and comments. I did some further research and thankfully found Dr. Mansouri! She was booked but took me in as an emergency patient,and stayed until well after closing. Her assistant Karen was wonderful and super friendly.... made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable and painful situation. I felt very confident and assured with Dr. Mansouri's explanation of what needed to be done. She knows what she's doing and the end result proves it! After the root canal was completed, I was pain free for the first time in over a week.! I have never walked into any Dentist or Doctor's office where I felt more welcomed, comfortable and at ease. Dr. Mansouri and her assistant Charles, in 50 minutes cleaned a dead root canal in my lower jaw that had gotten infected and was really painful. Dr. Mansouri then prepared the tooth for a new crown all the while dispelling my nervousness and alleviating my jaw pain through their teamwork, professionalism, and skill. Dr. Mansouri's few comments about new devices used in teeth needing crowns (e.g., new posts taking the place of metal ones that tended to crack the remaining tooth) were reassuring. The front office was terrific in working through the insurance morass (where I gave incorrect information!) but everything was worked out. Thank you for everything. Though I was advised to take painkiller for a few days, I found that - after a nap - I felt only a slight soreness and didn't need any aspirin or ibuprofen. I am very grateful for all that Dr. Mansouri, Charles, and her office staff did for me. Well today I got my first root canal by Dr Jason Cho. He is one of the calmest and knowledgable people I have ever met. I needed some hand holding and Shelby was the sweetest assistant shes fun to talk to. Karen was really so sensitive to my needs as far as my insurance and payment went she knew I was a little scared and I thought I was going to have to pay an arm and a leg for this but my copays were spot on as far as my pocket book it was a happy camper! ! the whole process was less then 2 hours and I got a tour of the office and learned about things I never know the digital camera they use is really awesome it shows me what I needed and the microscope dr cho used showed him that it really was necessary. Made my day. Amal showed me the sterilization room and wow i was equally impressed with the osha techniques. I came in with a large area of inflammation in my root canal , and thanks to Dr. Seyed Omid Dianat 's expertise, my tooth was not only saved but the entire procedure was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. However, I can say that Dr. Mansouri really put my nerves at ease. She was absolutely amazing, she had known and described what I had been going through stage by stage without me even briefing her. It's definitely a breath of fresh air to have someone who is truly that knowledgeable therefore incredibly professional without the intensity of the reality, given the situation. The procedure itself was very thorough and clean. Staff is also on POINT. It's only been a little over 48 hours and I'm already asking "what root canal?!". Came here to treat an old root canal which became infected, great experience. Front desk staff, the assistant and doctor are all very kind and professional, Dr. Dianat was able to find the issue with my previously failed root canal and took great care to address it. They use the latest available tech and the doctor was also able to work on my roots without removing the previous crown, saving me further costs. The whole process was smooth and painless. The recovery time was much shorter than my previous root canals as well, I think because the doctor works very gently with his tools, instead of the usual 7+ days of pain following root canal, I had almost no pain after 1-2 days and stopped taking painkillers after just 2 days. If you're like me and are skeptical of dentists due to previously bad experiences with root canal, would highly recommend here. read more

First of all, for all who are afraid of getting a root canal done, let me tell you, this was a very pleasant experience. All fear and apprehension went out the window!! Dr. Cho is the kindest and most gentle person you will ever know. He is very attentive and considerate, informative and respectful. Dr. Cho has performed a couple root canals on my teeth and every single time I was extremely surprised by how easy and painless it was. His assistant Brittney was very kind and helpful as well. Bill handles the administration side of things, and I could not speak more highly of him as well. The entire team is truly wonderful! I recommend them highly and I know that as I was, you will be very happy!!! The employees in the office were very professional in the way that they interacted with me and other patients arriving. The gal at the front desk helped me fill out the records form on-line, because I hadn't received it on my computer at home. She was very efficient and focused. Dr. Cho was wonderful. Great chairside manners and very personable and informative and thorough. He referred me back to my regular dentist, and advised me to wait on cementing the final crown in my mouth for at least 2 weeks, or until I returned from my trip to help my daughter. That way I would know during this time period, if I were having some sensitivity in the other teeth near the crown. I will in the future see Dr. Cho for any further endodontic issues. My experience at Irvine Endodontics was amazing. Dr. Mansouri is a professional, caring doctor that does the job right!! I was hesitant about having a RCT on a cracked tooth and when referred to Irvine Endodontics, I forgot about all my fears when I walked in the door. The front office staff are very nice and caring. You feel like you know them for years. The focus is patient care and you don't feel rushed or ignored. The procedure did not take long at all and I was out of there in less than two hours. I just had my yearly check up and the tooth is in great condition after 5 years, I thought I'd leave a comment and thank everyone at Irvine Endodontics for the great job they did. I had an apicoectomy on my front teeth with Dr. Cho. He is the best endodontics I have met since I had oral surgery at another offices. He saved my crown and performed treatment with his talent skill hand successfully. He even provided his cell number just incase to contact him anytime. Irvine Endodontics Center is a very clean nice place. Staffs and doctors work together as perfect team. They are really friendly and care about their customers so good that is close like a family members, and make my scare go away at the first minute to meet them. My experience at Irvine Endodontics was spectacular. Because of my work schedule and sudden onset of tooth pain, I only had one day to be diagnosed and to have my tooth fixed. Dr. Mansouri and her staff took me in immediately on the same day I contacted them-- even though I am not their patient and live on the East coast (I was visiting Irvine for work)-- and did a superb job in diagnosing my tooth problem and then completing the root canal-- all in one sitting. Brittany, their assistant, was also warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The day was a great success and now I am set to board a 13-hour plane flight to Asia with the knowledge that my tooth pain is taken care of. I recommend this group highly!! read more

I was extremely impressed by my experience from the moment I walked into the office by how I was greeted and checked in with a friendly manner through the root canal, my first by the way. The receptionist was wonderful and the office manager was entertaining with quick wit as he entered all my patient info. Mike who assisted the procedure was very detailed about the process and what was going to occur and Dr Pham was perfect with every detail as it was explained and the procedure went along. I can't say enough about Dr. Mansouri. For as nervous as we all get when We go to an oral doctor, she absolutely makes me feel so comfortable. She's talks with you & walks you through the process. She is very professional With State of the art equipment. She has the most amazing staff always very welcoming. I love how they tap on my shoulder when she's Numbing my gums up.(lol) They are my second family. I've had three root canal so far and I'm going in for my next one tomorrow. Hands down the BEST place if you have to have a Root Canal that I would recommend. I found this dental group on the internet after searching several places in Orange County. I loved the staff from the very first appointment! From; Amal who I spoke to twice over the phone, to Shelby in the back office and from Karen at the front. ALL were welcoming and very warm and friendly. The office is very clean and run very efficient and they are all paperless too! If you have to have a Root Canal go there and I especially, highly recommend Dr. Cho he is the best! He is calming and explains all your options, and Shelby was great too! read more

I was referred to this clinic by another dentist who was warm, compassionate, and genuinely cared…read moreabout my well-being. Unfortunately, my experience at the referred clinic with Mr. Mohseni was the exact opposite. From the beginning, the visit felt transactional rather than patient-focused. Despite already having X-rays completed by the referring dentist, I was told I needed to redo them without a clear explanation. Mr. Mohseni spent no more than three minutes with me--there was no real consultation, no opportunity to ask questions or discuss treatment options. When I asked about the cost, I was told, "You don't ask the doctor for price"--a response that struck me as both dismissive and unprofessional. Within moments, I was handed a $1,500 quote for a root canal. I was told that if I had the procedure done that day, my consultation fee would be applied in full. But if I waited just two days, only half of it would count--and I'd also be charged an extra $50 just to schedule. The entire experience felt more like a sales pitch than a medical visit. I left feeling taken advantage of and deeply uncomfortable. I've since canceled the appointment--losing the additional $50, which was non-refundable, but honestly, I consider it money well spent to avoid returning. Dental care should be about trust, transparency, and respect. Patients deserve to feel heard, not rushed or dismissed. I sincerely hope this clinic rethinks its approach--compassion and integrity go a lot further than pressure and profit-driven practices.
