Stopped in to try after we saw it was open. We went at prime time dinner time during a weeknight. The food was not very good. The sushi tasted like rubber. This is probably overall the worst Chinese buffet I have ever went to. All of the sweet & sour chicken was very over cooked. It was burnt & breading was very crispy. Talked with some others who have been there at different times as well. It's a place you visit once & are mad you dropped over $40 for a very sub par dinner for 2.. read more

Alot of food of all different kinds. Lacks much flavor but the variety definitely does make you forget what a Lil soy sauce can't fix. The sushi is good and a great variety also. read more

Orange Buffet - Sushi Bars Near Me - Orange Park, Florida

My grandchildren raved about this place. They had to take me. While the hibachi could doesn't know the meaning of spicy I was a bit disappointed I couldn't help but be in awe over how many sushi rolls my 8 yr old granddaughter ate. She loves them. so she said this is why she loves this place. They have a great selection on the buffet so everyone can get what they want. AND.... I don't have to cook!!! read more

Very clean and they are continuously bringing out new foods. Visit on a Saturday for early lunch and it was great !

This buffet is really great! The service is always good. They have a great sushi bar, Mongolian style chef, and hot items to choose from. The coconut shrimp is amazing! The have American items as well! We have never had a bad experience here. read more

The building is big, dated, and in need of repairs. The roof leaked and the staff put a bucket on the dining room floor to catch the water. It smelled of mildew. The food was ok. I liked the dumplings and the sugar rolls. The waiter wasn't friendly but not rude. She didn't speak to us at all, just took our order. The food was plain, just ok, plain. There was nothing outstanding about it. The price was phenomenal however. $19 for two adults and a child!! The cooks promptly brought out more food needed. I can't give five stars because the food wasn't stellar, the building was ran down and the customer service was subpar. read more

Orange Buffet - Front of building.. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Orange Park, Florida

Best Asian buffet in NE Florida. Hibachi grill is unmatched with its offerings of shrimp, chicken, pork, slim cut steak, and many vegetables and noodles. The sushi bar is good and there are 4 double wide server counters plus 1 for desserts. We had been coming here for years preCovoid19 and just returned today. read more

This used to be my favorite place but it has been going down hill. Food was not very warm. Some items missing or not being refilled. Probably the best option is the hibachi if you can find the cook. read more

The place looks run down from the outside.. but inside is clean and well taken care of.. the food for the price was amazing! Have not tried the hibachi but sushi etc was worth it! Will make this my spot for next time! Worth giving it a try if you are in the area. I have paid so much more for so much less and worse food in Jax! read more

This place was recommended to me by my grandma. And of course when the grandparents want to go somewhere with the grandkids and the whole family, we happily oblige. Came in during the week and honestly it was not that bad. For a Chinese/sushi buffet the variety was pretty good. Now the quality and taste for many items are hit or miss so if I could rank the food alone it would be 3 stars but the service on the night that we went was really good, which is why I gave the 4 stars. Our servers swiftly took away dirty plates, refilled our drinks quickly and anytime I wanted something from the buffet to be replaced with something fresh or even replenished it was done in a very timely manner. The food items on the buffet are pretty standard. I do like that they have a create your own hibachi. My absolute favorite part was the steak that they have. They will cook you a whole steak to your liking. Of course they are thin steaks (like the kind from Waffle House) so they cook quickly but honestly for the price of the buffet it was an awesome find. Especially since you could eat more than one. They had such a variety that honestly I would probably make the drive there again. Some of my family compared it to Osaka in mandarin but I stopped going there because it always made me sick. So I'll have you know that I did not get sick from this establishment. :-) The sushi was standard but again nothing amazing. Also keep in mind that this place is great if you're on a budget. Don't come here expecting quality like from the more expensive places. I personally feel that For the prices they offer their quality is on par with that. Oh and did I'm mention that they have delicious yeast rolls?!? I know weird but another thing I liked :-) anyways happy eating! read more

Terrible service all around. Asked Cindy to get my son a refill. Was standing waiting to leave and saw her only put ice in the cup, when she came back she lied about only putting ice, I told her she put no more soda and she lied to my face. I hate liars especially about my food. Please be honest its not hard to add a little soda to a little boys drink, instead you would rather have a bad review and a customer who would rather find a new place to eat. Definitely wouldn't recommend the over service experience at this establishment. read more

The best part about this place is the AYCE $11.99 sushi bar. It's the only reason I come here. Think about it all you can eat sushi for a quarter of the price you would pay at Wasabi. Everything else is about average and nothing to brag about just your typical Chinese buffet. read more

I was disappointed with this place it's dingy and run down. The food was not as good as our takeout place.

Naw....not for us. Décor was in need of updating -- furniture is old and what is that black stuff on the ceiling in the dining room? It looks like water damage that hasn't been replaced. Food was mediocre. This restaurant is a tough sell for someone who grew up eating Japanese and Chinese food. Trust me, there are better places elsewhere. Pricing is good, but you get what you pay for. read more

I followed the advice of other yelpers and I was ok with the choice. The place looks like most buffet setups. Everything I tried was really good. The hot and sour soup was great and full of ingredients. The rice was full of veggies and pork while the noodles were cooked perfect. And the generals chicken was worth the second plate. Crawfish, muscles, clams and shrimp all made their way to my table for the seafood party I was giving myself. I must say next time I will bring a bigger appetite read more

I didn't particularly like the food here. While the peel n eat shrimp was decent, the ribs, carved beef and lo mien were not to my liking. Desserts were fair, although I did like the strawberry ice cream. Overall price for a buffet of this quality was a little high. One suggestion for the owners would be to clean up the smell around the trash containers in your parking lot. Not a good first impression. Only a 2 star rating from me. read more

Had my "Birthday Lunch" here, and it was my 1st time there (in the old Barnhill's Country Buffet restaurant). When we arrived, we were immediately seated in a separate room for our party. Our waitress was very good and took our drink orders right away, so we could go visit the buffet. Since it was close to the opening time, all of the food entree trays were full of fresh, good looking food (see pictures)...but come to think of it, the food constantly come out nice and fresh during our leisurely 1 1/2 hours of dining. Since I was attending a party later in the afternoon, I loaded up on one plate with the dishes I'm used to having at Chinese buffets and finished with a plate full of desserts. I have to say that each of the dishes I tried were very tasty. The honey chicken had a crunch to it and the honey glaze was perfect,, not overly-sweet like most other places. They had a full hibachi grill and sushi bar, that sadly, I didn't have the room to sample--next time, for sure! The desserts, while typical of other Chinese buffets, THESE desserts were markedly fresh and cakes were moist. My Nanay, who enjoys her self-serve ice cream, and so does my sister, were pleasantly surprised to find a vanilla ice-cream with a blueberry fruit swirl that I took a bite of, even though I was super-stuffed. My husband ate 5 plates, including a plate of clams and he hasn't eaten that much at ANY buffet in years! Cannot wait to go back again to try the rest of the buffet. My suggestion is to go very hungry so you can try as many dishes as your stomach allows! read more

I am not one for buffets. Not my go to type of place. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in an old steak house. The Orange Buffet was pleasant inside. It was very clean and the buffet tables were full of every kind of dish you could imagine. Not to mention the sushi bar with an extraordinary array of sushi and the hibachi bar where they will cook everything fresh for you. The food was delicious. The best cream cheese wontons I've ever eaten. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the roast beef. It was a little fatty but I don't expect roast beef at a Japanese/Chinese style buffet. Even the desserts were good. The price was awesome. 10 dollars and change for adults for dinner and even cheaper for lunch. I will definitely be going back. Oh, you can get crab legs for an additional charge with your buffet. Next time!! read more

I honestly didn't like anything here, the sushi tasted old, the egg rolls were gross, the only thing that saved this from being horrible was the hibachi. read more

Went to go eat at 8pm on a Sunday, they close at 10pm food seemed like it was sitting for a while, not very many options, I will not be visiting this buffet again. However you do get your 10 dollars worth, sweet tea was good. Highly recommend Osaka Buffet off of San Jose across the bridge. read more

This is the worst food I've ever had. Most of which i kept questioning what it was i was eating. The outside of the building looks like it needs to be torn down and the inside is just as bad. This bathrooms and everything were just so gross. They're rice made me want to throw up. I didn't complain about it but when i went to ask for a to go cup, 2 of the girls upfront looked at me and gave me an attitude. read more

Food wasnt hot. They are Rude about having to have printed coupons. It's 2018... allow mobile coupons to be used. Won't be back just for that reason. I have a family of 6 and always tip good. As you walk in there is a sharp odor that hits your nose, I'm sure that it's mold in the building. The odor does not leave. The food is absolutely garbage, even the dessert. The food here is low quality. I went to the restroom only to find a flooded sink, clogged toilets, as well as unflushed urinals. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. read more

Good selection of ribs seafood and Chinese food. Friendly service. Clean and fast service. It's quiet there too. I like that. They have Mountain Dew too. read more

It had poor customer service. When I asked for a 4th cup for my toddler the server looked at me like I had 7 heads and it was a big inconvenience for her to get the cup. The food itself would have flopped on the level from 1 to 5 scale except the hibachi and sushi section redeemed it some. I probably wouldn't go again except for the fact that my Dad loves a buffet and this one seems to be the only one decent around here read more

It's a good spot if you want to dine on a budget. When you walk in, there is a strange old smell to the building. The sign says Hibachi but it's more like a Mongolian grill because it did not remind me of Hibachi . The service and the soda was good but the food looked like it had been sitting all day long. When looking trough the buffet line pickings were slim because everything was gone or scraps were left. The sushi section looked pretty promising but I don't eat that so I cannot give a review on taste . Overall this spot is ok if you are eating on a budget but I don't see myself going back. read more

the 80's decor. The restaurant is very clean, the staff are on top of things, the food was fresh and tasty and good variety. Worst place. Me my husband and my brother in law wanted to try something new. Worst decision we made. The food was nasty. And my husband and brother in law have been vomiting and diarrhea ever since we ate here. Won't ever be back. And to top the horrible service and food off they had a very derogatory term on the wall in there bathroom that is very clear to see but I guess they don't care to remove it. If you like to be able to go 20 minutes without having to use the restroom I recommended you avoid this place at all cost. Never again will I return read more

Reading some of the other reviews, I can't help thinking, "Did I even go to the same place they did?" I was very cautious while making my plate; only a tiny bit of several items: pork fried rice, Thai chicken, boneless ribs, stuffed mushrooms, beef and broccoli. And it was ALL bad. Not spit-it-out bad, just "wow, I don't believe I want any more of that" bad. Everything had a faint taste or odor of fish, even the ice water! And it wasn't just me, my husband said it before I did. The very best part of my meal was the scoop of ice cream I had at the end. No argument that the selection is amazing, especially the seafood, but after trying to eat a boneless rib that was the consistency of beef jerky, and the dryest, hardest teriyaki chicken skewer ever, I was reluctant to try any of the seafood options. My husband and granddaughter both had sushi, and they didn't die, so maybe my fears were unfounded. I just wasn't willing to risk it. The price was reasonable, the service was good, and the place appeared reasonably clean, none of which would convince me to try the place again. There has got to be better options in Orange Park. read more

I only rated this place three stars because its too far away and even though there are lots of dishes and lots of food its is not anything out of the ordinary. There is a sushi bar the sushi is ok. If i am in the area and am really hungry ill stop by again but taking the the trip to orange park to just go to the restaurant is not something i would do. read more

This place is great! I have been coming here for years and I think the food is great. They have a hibachi grill and all of the Asian food that you can think of on the buffet line.
