I love Thai food. And I've driven by this place many many times without trying because I had heard some meh reviews. But I was craving Thai. I didn't want to drive out to our normal place, and the place that's even close to me I have had and I don't care for. So I decided to check it out for myself and make my decision. Food- 9.5/10. My only complaint is that I went for medium spicy thinking that it was on the typical Thai spicy scale. But it's definitely on a scaled back American scale. That being said, the pad see ew was fantastic. I know now that when I order, I should clarify that I want Thai medium not American medium as I could've used a bit more spice. But the flavors were on point. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back. Service- 10/10. It was a quiet late afternoon lunch when I arrived not many people there, but I was instantly greeted. I was quickly served, and the lady who served me was so very kind and gracious. Altogether, it was an incredibly welcoming environment and I can't wait to go back and bring my family next time. Ambiance- 10/10. The aesthetics of this little establishment are absolutely perfect. Good space around the tables very nice looking clean interior and none of the tables or chairs were looking worn down. They bring out your beverage with a little straw and they've taken the paper and made it into a little heart, which is absolutely adorable and it's those cute little touches that just make you feel so welcome and comfortable there right away. I tried this place for the first time on a weeknight and enjoyed it. I have never really had a bad meal when it comes to Thai food. The meal was beautifully presented - even down to the drink straws and beautiful lemons (the prettiest I have seen). We ordered Panang Curry with tofu and Pad Thai. There was enough Pad Thai for leftovers, however I would recommend being more generous with the tofu. The Pad Thai was not the best I have had, but still tasty. The server was pleasant, although we did have to ask for a couple of things twice. Still, I enjoyed my meal and would try this restaurant again. read more

We stopped by Lum Thai today for lunch. We had the crab rangoons, chicken cashew nut and veggie ginger dishes. Everything we had was good! The server was very nice. The ambiance was cozy. They had delightful touches everywhere! Our lemons had been peeled to look like playful snails, the straws were in the shape of hearts, there was a little face made from food on top of the rice. It was very cute! Food notes: Crab rangoons were very curry forward. We didn't really taste the crab or cream cheese flavors but we still liked them! It's been a while since I have had Thai this good. I ate EVERYTHING because it tasted so good. The service was pleasant and fast. It was festive in the back because it was the Thai New Year and the waitress ceremoniously asked she could splash some water on me as it was customary. We got the Thai Sweet Tea for drinks it was a 10/10 for us, loved the balanced sweet to tea taste and absolutely adored the heart wrapper decor on the straws. For appetizers we got the Dumplings and Fresh Basil Rolls both were incredible paired with their sauces! As well as the presentation is always so neat and beautiful. Both were 10/10 again for us. For the meals I got the Massaman Curry Hot with their Seafood option, and my husband got the Khao Soi Hot Curry Noodle Soup. DELICIOUS! But you want to hear about the food, don't you. Tea - if you're from the south, you know they're good and bad teas. This was really good tea. Thai Tea - my son thought this was one of the best renditions he had, and he loves his Thai tea. Pad Thai - excellent, outstanding, incredible and a great value. Thai fried rice - another outstanding dish . I'm not sure you can go wrong with getting anything here they serve good food, and services excellent. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, they didn't measure up. Smallish and tight seating didn't help. We sat for some time while the single server at lunchtime scurried about waiting on obvious "regulars". Our order was taken in a rush, so we pared it down a bit. The food was delivered with indifference and because more "regulars" with larger orders came in, we were totally ignored. The food, meh, unremarkable and unmemorable. Personally, we won't be returning. He likes really spicy food and said it wasn't all that hot, and added some more spice that was provided on the table. He also had one of the flavored teas which he said was really good. Mine left a little tingle on the lips (I'm not into overly spicy food so this was just right for me, but I'd consider it more medium than "hot". If you like really spicy food I'd suggest asking them to punch it up a bit. The portions were not overly large but this was good for us for a late lunch. Easy strip mall type parking. I met a friend for lunch here and it was a new spot for both of us. First, like others have said, the interior is not at all what you expect from the exterior. It is beautiful warm wood, paintings, and a beautiful entryway. There was no one out front, and we waited a bit, but decided to just go ahead and seat ourselves. Another couple came in and went right to a table, so that seemed to be the thing to do. They also availed themselves of the menu on the counter, so I did the same. Extensive menu, and a separate single page for lunch specials. As we were looking at the menu, a woman came out and took our beverage orders. I ordered a Thai Tea, and it was delicious. Refreshing, not too sweet. My tablemate ordered a tea, and she said it was very tasty, not a typical "unsweet tea." I decided on the Pad Thai. I'm a sucker for a good pad thai, and they had that on their lunch menu. The prices are based on the meat that you order. I asked for shrimp. I also ordered an appetizer of Crab Rangoons. The Rangoons came out and you could tell they had been fried to perfection. Brown and crispy on the outside, and a bit of a surprise on the inside as they were curry based. I've never had rangoons that had curry in them, but I enjoyed it. I must say I did not taste any crab, but liked them just the same. Probably would not reorder though as I did want the crab to be the star, and for $6.99 I don't just want a curried pastry bundle. The Pad Thai came out and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I had asked for medium, but changed it to mild upon reading some reviews that said the mild was a bit on the "hot" side. I wished I had left it at medium, and might even up that a bit. First, it had no peanuts, so I did ask for some. Second, it was a bit on the sweet side, thus next time asking for at least medium. But all in all it was a very appetizing dish. As others have also stated, quantities are a bit small for the price, but I felt the quality was top-notch. I took half my pad thai home, but ended up eating it the minute I arrived home as I was still a bit hungry even with the appetizers. Definitely will be back to try other menu items. read more

Always a 5 out of 5. They are so consistent it is scary. So authentic and definitely great food. I eat here at least once a month and even hosted my bday party here this year.
