Dad gets all the veggies and none of the noodles.

It's been a while since I've been here, and a few things have changed. They took out the fish tanks, which used to be the only real drawback of going here. More elbow room and less fishy smell. They updated the menus to fit on two pages. There is only one size bowl now. And updated prices. 2 everythings are about $30. More expensive, but still really tasty. One new drawback now is ordering at the register. I guess that's gotten popular everywhere, but seems like pointlessly following a trend when ordering worked just fine the old way. And a ding on service. One of the staff asked us if we wanted waters, then never brought them. Sort of a bad compromise between the old full-service dining and the new post-covid way of being "efficient" with fewer staff. Some of the competition on this side of town has gone away over the past couple of years, so this is still my favorite for the area. But there are definitely a couple of 5 star options available if you're near Southside.

    Pho

This place is now called noodles n boba. Been coming here for a couple years and they never disappoint only improve. The inside is updated and is very cute. The appetizers are always yum. The pho is perfect. The broth is so yum and the shrimp are always cooked perfectly. The service is speedy and they are always nice. Can't beat the price either.

There's no filter on this food but it sure looks like it. Disappointing.

My Door Dash experience usually takes much longer than most. I go from the DD app to my YELP app because I need to do my research always. I had them book marked so I didn't have to do much before I started my order. The Fresh Shrimp Spring-roll with the peanut sauce is something I will order alone (two orders) at every Vietnamese restaurant! The rice paper didn't stay together, the peanut sauce didn't soothe me, the crab ragons were the worst I've ever seen so you know they tasted the worst as well, the spring rolls were alright but I don't remember the taste because I only took a bite and I didn't even eat the steamed potstickers. (That sentence run on is real)!!

    House Deluxe Vermicelli

Out of the 40 or so times I've been here, the food NEVER came out like this, and I'm severely disappointed. Service was confusing, and the restaurant itself on the inside looked a bit beat up. This House Deluxe Vermicelli platter should've come with Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp, and this had pork on it. The egg roll and the noodles themselves seem like the only thing that was right on it. I wanna give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was an off day but this just hurts because this place used to be so good.

From their dim sum menu, chicken feet

A small and simple cafe with delicious goodies. Located off to the side of Blanding Blvd and blocked by Red Lobster and other big name chain restaurant, this cafe serves pretty good pho, but also other delicious delicacies like dim sum. Dim sum is pretty new to the menu though. According to one of the servers, they've only added the dim sum menu for about a month. Served only on Sundays, it's a small selection but they are some of the popular dim sum dishes like beef soup dumplings. My favorite thing to get at any dim sum place is chicken feet. These were perfectly cooked, fall off the bone and flavored with hints of star anise, coriander, and other herbs to balance out but not overpower your tastebuds. If you're not into dim sum, of course they have pho but they do also have other goodies like fried rice, stir fry udon and a great selection of appetizers.

Wonderful food, good people and good atmosphere. Seems to be under new ownership. The food was excellent quality, and got to the table fast and I got a really good Boba. The restaurant atmosphere looks nice too. quiet and comfortable. If I had thought about reviewing before eating my food, I would've taken some pictures but the food didn't last long. I ate it way too quick! Outstanding meal!

    shrimp pho and mango boba
    Jasmine H.

The pho was great and the toppings were plentiful. It was inconvient that the bowl wasn't big enough to hold all of the broth and toppings though. I ordered the mango boba but with popping bubbles and i got both tapioca pearls and popping bubbles in the my drink. I don't like the regular boba so i guess there should be a clearer description when ordering if you order the popping bubbles then it was still have tapioca balls. Also the "popping" bubbles didn't pop, they were jellies. Definitely not the same thing.

Best Pho in Fleming Island, the flavor it's amazing, fresh food. Owners take pride of their restaurant and it shows in every spoonful of Pho

The power bowl was really delicious but the cup they serve it in made it hard to enjoy. I was trying to scoop out the egg which falls to the bottom so that was awkward to eat but super good. I suggest more of a tray or actual bowl would be easier to eat this in. I got my order really quickly and they have plenty parking. It was busy and plenty customers. Really enjoyed my visit and stayed a bit to work in the cafe on my laptop.

I had a plum cinnamon tea which was also great and hit the spot on a rainy day. The WiFi connected but wouldn't open any pages except google, so that was a bummer. I'd love to see for-here food come in an actual plate or bowl. The bowl mine came in had all the egg & sausage on the bottom, so you ate grits first then everything else. Still, I'd come back and try more things. I also tried the chocolate banana thing (muffin? Donut? Cupcake.) and found it pretty disappointing. The cake part itself is good, very moist. Too moist to be a donut or a muffin, so it must be a cupcake, which is weird considering the shape. The icing was awful. It's so overpoweringly sweet it doesn't taste like chocolate or banana, just sugar. If you don't scrape it off, it makes the whole thing way too sweet.

They have many options to choose from in terms of different meats, greens, sushi, desserts, noodles, and more. How it works is you choose the soup of choice to cook the things on and then you go up and fill your place with what you want to cook. You can add things to the soup or on the hot pot to cook. They also have sushi and dumplings already made to eat. I've tried the traditional soup and the tom yum I believe it's called. I like the tom yum better because it has more flavor. You are cooking your own stuff so make sure it's done lol! Both servers both times were nice and attentive in changing out the stove you cook on and taking your dirty plates. Cool experience for sure!

We decided upon this place based on reviews, including from all our oldest grandchild, who said that he had been taken here and everyone enjoyed it. we knew it had previously been a Japanese/Asian grill for many years, but now it is a Korean style barbecue and hot pot.m, so we stopped in. first be aware that this is not a cheap meal, it was $37 per adult. that said, you get access to a variety of proteins and options. I will also say that my experience was quite a bit different than that of my wife. to start, you get one type of flavored broth for your hot pot in which to cook proteins or vegetables. The table also comes with a built-in grill if you choose to Cook that way. My wife selected the mushroom broth base and I chose the pork broth base. I must say, my wife added her own spices/sauces and enjoyed her broth so much that she shared with me and it greatly enhanced my experience. We enjoyed it so much so that we took the remainder home - there was a by weight up charge for taking this or anything else home. initially I felt that was a little expensive ($5) for taking home What amounted to 2 cups of broth, but we made Ramen out of the next day and it was the best Ramen I've had in a long time, so kudos to my wife for having seasoned it so well. my pork broth was not very flavorful, but I was being lazy and did not add any sauces to it, so I was disappointed, but frankly that is probably on me. In the middle of the restaurant is a very clean and well stocked protein buffet that has all types of seafood, pork, chicken, and beef offerings. I selected many of these, and went directly to the grill instead of cooking some of them in the hot pot. i ended up over cooking several of them before adding them into my hot pot, and they weren't good, but once again my disappointment is in part due to my impatience or inattentiveness. my wife enjoyed her selections very much because she didn't overcook her proteins. my favorite thing was the beef Bulgogi and Korean short ribs, which I grilled (or my wife did) and these were delicious, marinated in an excellent sauce and I frankly could've and should've probably just eaten several plates of this. they had a sushi/dessert bar with typical fare; my wife did not partake in any of this. I tried several of the sushi rolls and they were OK -- frankly this is probably not what you would gravitate to if you're going to a hot pot/Korean barbecue restaurant. their desert offerings were fine: I enjoyed the tiramisu and the Asian style donuts, which were very doughy, but I love them. My wife thought they were just meh. they were alcoholic options, but we were already going to be at $90 with tip and take home broth so we just had waters. I apologize for forgetting the servers name, but his service was excellent, due to attentiveness, explanation of the options, and making sure our drinks were consistently refilled. The ambience was nice, modern, clean. so my take away is that this would be closer to a 3.5 star review versus a four, as this was expensive and everything that I tried other than the grilled Bulgogi and what my wife shared that she had added to her broth) was just OK. However, my wife enjoyed the meal so much, that alone is worth it. Also, I should attribute some of the "disappointment" to my own laziness or overcooking of the proteins on the grill. I would go back for another special occasion, but at the price point, it would not be a weekly choice.
