I've lived in Jacksonville on and off since 2004. I've tried mostly all of the pho spots in town but never checked out PK Noodles. I don't really know why, I guess when you find your favorite you stick with it. PK offers banh mi as well as pho and boba... so why not get all three? Ordered the special pho with all of the meats. The broth was very light... but had me going back again and again until it was gone. It didn't taste as artificially enhanced like some other pho spots in town. There are also other spots that include way more meat, but the tendon was my favorite, absolutely melt in your mouth. The banh mi was good. Was it the best I've ever had? No. Was it sufficient and still tasty? Yes. I enjoy the charm of a quaint small restaurant with retro furniture and a lot of communal seating. No frills. Just food. Overall my biggest take away and honest opinion is, if you're looking for a delicious lunch that won't break the bank. This is your spot. Pho, banh mi and boba totaled $20. Another stop along our journey towards finding our favorite pho spot in Jax. Its a nice spot in town. Has most of the regular vietnamese menu items like the cuon, cha gio, and soups (pho, hu tieu, and bbh), etc. We went for the banh mi, BBh, and Pho bo. Compared to the other places we had tried in town, I'd say it ranks in the middle. Average. Portions were average to on the smaller end, but it meets the price match. The banh mi was good, i enjoyed the bagette more than the grilled pork. The BBH was ok, different that what I am used to. The pho was also decent. Overall, I'd say an average rating for taste for our palates, but we are just two of many hundreds of other pho lovers and customers. I've been coming to this place for ages. BY FAR, this is the best place you can find in town for value. I love ordering their pho. With shrinkflation, you get much less meat, but you still get so many noodles, and their soup has always been on point. I don't like it when soups make me super thirsty after I have my meal, and this place doesn't do that. They actually spend time stewing the bone broth, which is very appreciated! They haven't increased their prices in a while, even though I think they should, and no one would blame them. Truly worth the price. Where else in town can you find 2 meals worth of pho for under $10?! Service here is always fast. I've never had a bad time here. They've always been respectful and attentive. I think my only gripe about this place is that there's no A/C here. So in the summer, if you're crazy like me and order a hot soup, prepare to sweat puddles everywhere. They have a couple of fans on the ceiling which moves the air around, but it does get hot in the summer. So try to do takeout in the summer, haha. My friends also really likes the bahn mi here. I'll admit, it's a lighter flavor than other places. The meat is nicely charred and the bread is soft, not really crunchy, so that's a preference. The carrot/radish mix is less pickled than some other places, but they are very generous with their portions. A sandwich is less than $5!! In most cases, people seem like regulars, where they already know what they want. BBQ Pork Spring Rolls (3a) - overall fantastic, great dipping sauce, well-priced. You know it's the real deal when you walk in and the chairs are all upholstered in turquoise blue fabric and looks like they may have seen better days, plus they have a gigantic mirror lining one wall. That's how they do along Colonial in Orlando where some of Florida's finest Viet restaurants can be found, too. Went here last night for dinner. They said we could seat ourselves. I ordered water, boba Thai tea, and Pho Tom. (Shrimp) We also had chicken egg rolls, Sprite, and a side of rice for my daughter. I shared my shrimp with her too. My friend ordered the chicken pho with a coke. The food was served relatively quickly. There were two gentlemen working up front the whole time. It's nestled in a plaza on Beach boulevard right before the Kernan intersection. The bathroom was clean but the handle was slightly broken, but still able to flush. We go here all of the time for pho, it's tasty and affordable. I also like the lemongrass vermicelli.

Came here on Christmas Eve after calling to confirm they were open "until 8 or 9" We were there well before 8 so it was not a problem, but showing up at 8:30 might have been an issue. The restaurant is in a strip mall and was pretty empty when we showed up. They did do a few to-go orders while we dined though and parking was easy right out front. They told us we could seat ourselves so we chose a booth on the left side of the restaurant. I spoke Vietnamese to them and they seemed to not understand. Turns out the worker was not Vietnamese...ha! We ordered the goi cuon, (which were small, but came out fast), and the pho tai which was pretty good. The value can't be beat on the pho as it was $7.95 for a bowl and an extra $2 for the large size, which I got and had tons of meat. The bathrooms were not super clean, but was manageable. read more

After looking at the menu we should have left but i didn't want to be rude. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls which is supposed to be a salad roll in the rice paper with peanut sauce. This was not even close! Nothing fresh, two tiny shrimp and one tiny strip of rotting romaine and maybe some bean sprouts. The sauce was unrecognizable...nasty. Amazing food, service, and quickness. This is my favorite pho spot in Jacksonville. The number 48 and 36 are some of the best Vietnamese pork dishes I have eaten. The PK special for pho is great too. I come here two to three times a week because they are prompt and really on top of things. If I need to get out of there in 15 minutes they are that quick. The Thai tea boba is very good too and cheap, but ask to get it less sweet. Most boba is too sweet in general but that might just be my preference. The bahn mi is delicious and cheap as well. Darn good pho. Great flavor, wonderful helpings, very fairly priced, and fresh vegetables to go on top. Love the chili sauce they keep on the table. Whenever I'm in Jacksonville, this is my go to. This was my first time trying PK noodles because my usual pho place was closed today. When I walked in the restaurant it was hot and humid which of course isn't the best feeling! It also had a bit of a strange smell as well but I just ignored it. I ordered chicken egg rolls & #19 pho rare steak. The egg rolls were great! The pho didn't have a savory flavor. But still was good. I give it the pho flavor a 7/10. However, the service was great. The workers very nice. read more

The short story is good and cheap. $20 for two entrees and an appetizer. I went with my wife and a friend. We started with the ground chicken egg roll. They were pretty good. They served them with a sweet dipping sauce. I got 39a. I wanted to try both noodles so that was the ticket. The soup had quail eggs shrimp and pork. I don't like cilantro so they left that out. I don't remember what number my wife got but it had a salad, sprouts, egg noodles and grilled shrimp. She doesn't usually eat salad but she had trouble understanding the server when he explained that she hasn't getting soup. Haha. I tried a bite of her shrimp and it was good. My husband and I ordered the Vermicelli bowels which included a sliced up egg roll, bean sprouts, noodles, peanuts, shredded lettuce, veggies, and meat of choice. With all the pho and Vietnamese places that have been popping up in recent years, it can be hard to know which one is authentic and especially tasty. Well I'm here to tell you they are all delicious, but this one definitely has a special place it my heart. It's very unassuming both on the outside and on the inside. You'd never guess that such tasty food could come out of their doors. One of my favorite parts about this restaurant in comparison to others is that the staff always treats me like family, even on my very first visit. They're warm and welcoming, allow you to choose you own seats and will constantly check on you to make sure you have water and are being attended to. Everytime I've been here there has always been at least 3 other parties and yet the space still feels very quiet and intimate. I love a restaurant were you don't have to strain yourself to hear the person across from you. On my first visit the staff talked me through the menu and helped me pick what they thought I liked best and it's been my order ever since. For drinks, I really recommend you try their Boba Tea, number 14. It's an iced milk tea with boba which are these 1/2 inch gummy bear textured balls that float at the bottom of the drink and get sucked up your straw as your sipping for a suprising texture and taste. Sometimes I'll ask for the tea without the boba which they are more than happy to do and it's still just as tasty. I like the shrimp & pork spring roll, sans the pork, which is served with a side of really tasty peanut dipping sauce and can be eaten with you fingers or with chopsticks. Take small bites though because you'll really want to savor this one! For the entree I love doing the Ph Tôm (Shrimp Noodle Soup) which is served in a heaping portion filled with rice noodles and shrimp filling the soup. They will also give you a side plate with bean sprouts, quartered lime pieces, jalapenos, and basil. This is for you to add to you soup to your choosing. I love putting as many of the bean sprouts as I can fit, a couple of jalapenos and one or two leaves of basil. On the table is your a little caddy with a spoon which looks like a mini soup ladle, napkins, sriracha, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce. After tasting the soup, you can add some of any of the sauces to adjust the broth to your liking. I love adding the hoisin sauce to give it a bit of richer taste. I've driven passed this place many times and never checked it out for some reason or another. The only reason we did was because A Bit of Saigon is closed on Tuesdays. I ordered my usual Vietnamese go to dish, Grill pork and Shrimp Bún (Rice Vermicelli). It was filling and good but not the best I've had. The fish sauce was on point, but the vermicelli noodles was slightly overcooked for my taste. I can't pin point my issue with the pork but it's different than what I've had at other Vietnamese restaurants. Their Taro boba tea with red and green beans with mixed jelly was tasty. They had other dessert drinks that looked good as well. The other people in our party ordered pho soups, Bún mi sandwiches, fried rice, and Chicken eggrolls and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. PK Noodles is a no frill Vietnamese restaurant. The service is very friendly and quick and prices are very affordable. There were 8 people in our party and we all ordered a dish and a few of us ordered boba tea drinks and the total was under $80. read more
