Really good pho with flavorful broth, a good amount of meat, and a decent serving size! Although a bit on the pricey side. The fried rice is pretty good too. I wish there was more shrimp though! It wasn't the most flavorful, but they do give you soy sauce to add in. The drinks are pretty good too. I wish the condensed milk was a little stronger in the iced coffee, but the thai tea was really good!

One of the tastiest pho spots you'll find in Jacksonville: I've been coming to Pho Today for over 10 years, and the flavor consistently holds its own against most pho spots in Jax (just my opinion). Is it a perfect 5/5? No -- but if Yelp or Google let me choose 4.5 stars, that's exactly where this would land. If you're debating between a small vs. regular or large bowl of pho: never order the small. You'll get limited protein and mostly broth and noods. Trust me -- go regular or large. Worst case, you take leftovers home. Best case, you get the added entertainment of trying to pour that wide, overflowing bowl into one of those tall, skinny to-go containers without spilling a drop. Extra points if you are 100% successful! I usually order at least one appetizer per visit, and everything I've tried has been delicious and reasonably priced. Their frozen boba teas are solid -- if I'm choosing between iced or frozen, Taro and Thai tea are my go-tos. And don't sleep on the homemade lemonade. No free refills, but it's absolutely worth it. The fried rice with Vietnamese sausage is another favorite of mine. I'll either share it or order it alongside my pho and take the rest home. The sausage adds a natural saltiness and depth of flavor that really makes the dish. So why not 5 stars? Customer service when dining in could be better timed and a smidge more friendly. Portion consistency between dine-in and to-go orders is hit or miss almost half the time. And while nothing is deal-breaking, a few minor cleanliness details on the table accessories could use more attention (I'll include a labeled photo for reference). That said, this is still one of my go-to pho spots in Jacksonville and has been for over a decade. If you're here for flavor first and comfort food that hits the spot, Pho Today is absolutely worth a visit.

I got the salt and pepper calamari and chicken pho, and they're both delicious! Honestly my favorite most authentic tasting pho in jacksonville restaurant style. It was a little loud in there, but because they're so busy and so much going on, but that's a good reason right?! Our waiter was quick with refills and kept us updated with the orders! Will be coming back! Oh yeah ask for fried garlic/schallots to add to your pho... thank me later

Came here for the pho and wanted to order all the things! My spouse got the beef short rib with pork and damn was it a flavor bomb. The broth on the pho was excellent. However, the other dishes are so good I'm not sure I'll ever end up ordering just the pho again. This place was packed at 2pm. I believe that says it all.

One of my favorite pho spots in the Jax, this place always hits the spot the morning after a night out or on a cold day. There is plenty of parking outside and lots of seating inside, the staff is more than willing to push together a few tables if you have a large group. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of space between parties. Ordering is quick and the food comes out hot and delicious, I love their pho tai and spring rolls with shrimp and pork. The staff is also kind enough to split checks in whichever way you need. There is always plenty of sides to go in the pho and sriracha at the table. Can't beat it!

Pho Today is the 2nd best pho restaurant in Jacksonville (after Urban Vietnamese)! It's a little hard to find if you're not using GPS bc you can't see it from Southside Blvd. You take a side street between McD's and Wendy's, then turn right to the shopping complex. It's located right next to Jersey Mikes. The service is great, lots of servers available to take care of you. The only concern I had was the cleanliness.... there were specks of food on the drink menu and a few flies/gnats flying around me as I was eating. The food is absolutely tremendous! The fresh salad roll (usually called spring rolls at other Vietnamese restaurants) with shrimp and pork was fresh and delicious. The peanut sauce was perfect. The pho is tasty too. I could smell the star anise infused in the broth even before the server brought my extra large bowl of pho to the table!! The broth had such profound flavors and it came with a huge plate of extra fresh bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño and limes. Delicious!! If they could just work on the cleanliness, they would totally deserve 5 stars!

Great service and delicious food! The floor always seems dirty to me, but otherwise the food is great!

Located in well visited plaza with lots of free parking. Good selections on menu. Went with XL chicken Pho noodles and a beef. Both were good size portion. Open seating area with lots of tables. Good service.

Really enjoyed my food. The service was okay as always! Recommend getting traditional pho if you've never had, the staff is more than willing to help you decide!

Rolled into Pho Today the day after Thanksgiving, trying to escape the loop of leftover turkey and casseroles. I hadn't been in a while, and I wanted to pull my foodie friend into a place he somehow hadn't tried yet. The place was already buzzing when we walked in. Tables full, families settled in, and plenty of Vietnamese diners. My inner Bigfoot instinct gave a quiet nod... if the folks who grew up with this food choose to eat here, you're probably in the right spot. I went straight for the P1. Full house bowl with steak, flank, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. I ordered the extra large out of habit. I can't crush a bowl that size anymore, but it still landed heavy. The tripe isn't my thing, but I leave it in since it's part of the broth's rhythm. The garnish plate came stacked with basil, cilantro, sprouts, lime, and jalapeños, with chili oil, nuoc cham, hoisin, and Sriracha on the side. Easy to tune the bowl exactly how you want it. We opened with summer rolls, went with grilled pork this time. Fresh wrap, good herbs, and a dipping sauce that sat somewhere between peanut and nuoc cham. Light, clean, solid start. Our server was outstanding. Checked in at the right moments, stayed out of the way while we were actually eating, and never let anything fall behind. Smooth, instinctive service. By the time we finished, people were stacked near the door waiting on tables, scanning the room like they were tracking something. Always a good sign.

I have been wanting to go to Pho Today for the longest time but somehow never found myself there and when we moved to South JAX/St Johns I became even more difficult but finally a friend invited to me lunch when I was at the office and mommy I made it. We came in around 12:30PM on a Friday and had no issue getting a table. Once seated I noticed they have what I love to see at a table, that being all the sauces one would need. They had Hot Chili Oil, Soy Sauce, Sriracha, Hoisin Sauce, and more! We of course had to start of with an appetizer. There was so much that sounded good but we went of one of my favorites which is a Fresh Salad Roll with Shrimp and Pork, also known as a Fresh Spring Roll. They came out very fast and were some of if not the best I have had. The perfect size and completely loaded with filling. I could have put order after order of these away. For my entrée there was a lot of stuff I wanted to try but I have never had Pho so my buddy told me it was a must and ordered for me the Pho Special Regular size which pretty much as everything in it that being Rare Steak, Flank, Tendon, Tripe, and Beef Balls. Once the Pho came out it was loaded and they even bring out a plate of veggies. Got got into it and the broth was so flavor full and the noodles were great too. I add some Hot Chili Oil to spice it up as well. Most of the meat was pretty good but some of it just wasn't for me. I will say it is some much food I don't understand how someone could eat an X Large to themselves. The menu has so much to try so I will for sure be coming back!

X-Large P2. Create Your Own Pho with Shrimp and Ribeye

Brought the family to this small Vietnamese place on Southside Boulevard in front of Tinseltown movie theater. Upon entering, you will be greeted by a sign asking you to wait to be seated. Depending on how busy they are will depend on how long you will wait. We waited for approximately 5 minutes before we were seated. You will have your choice of tables or booths. Our group of four was seated at a booth. Our host did not speak much English and getting drinks ordered in the noisy restaurant was tough, esp. when the menu did not reflect the correct drinks. Once our server got there, we ordered our meals: X-large create your own Pho (brisket and shrimp) for me Rice noodle bowl for my wife Small pho with chicken for my 9 year old Chicken fried rice for my sixteen year old We also ordered two orders of shrimp spring rolls and an order of cream cheese wontons for the table Our appetizers came out and we devoured the shrimp spring rolls served with peanut sauce and the kids raved about the cream cheese wantons that are served with a citrus ( i think orange) dipping sauce. Our mains came out piece meal with the pho coming out first and the other two meals came out about five minutes later. All the meals were well prepared and then made my daughters pho very kid friendly (no veggies just noodles and chicken). The fried rice looked and tasted way better than standard takeout fair - chunks of fresh shredded chicken and not as greasy. It's hard to describe my wife's noodle bowl but it is a great meal loaded with several different proteins and rice noodles plus some veggies. My wife enjoys it with extra peanut sauce. The portions are big enough that everyone had left overs. The staff are super accommodating in helping you get your leftovers home by providing boxes and soup containers, as well as extra condiments for my peanut sauce loving wife on request. You are also able to pay at table which makes leaving easy. Recommend it for a casual meal.

Day after Thanksgiving and what a great surprise as I was introduced to this Pho gem that I soon found out to be one of my now go to Vietnamese restaurants. Service was quick at noon, but the restaurant was packed. When our Pho came I knew I would not be disappointed. First clue was they had all the right condiments already placed on the table, just like in Vietnam. The only difference was this was in a very cozy warm environment and not in a street cafe in Saigon. Everyone on here talks about authenticity when they go to restaurants? I only use the word when I have been to the country and had the dining experience. Flavors were as big as the servings and reasonably priced. I apologize for not taking a photo of my Pho (S.2 Spicy Beef & Vietnamese Ham, pork jelly noodle soup). It is served piping hot and no better a dish for a cool day. A.4 Fresh Salad Rolls with Roast Pork, were a nice variation from the usual shrimp ones. Very tasty. A must try for Pho aficionados.

I stopped here around 2 PM and there was no one inside. Obviously on Saturday around this time most people are at brunch, so I took great advantage of the fact that I would be able to have the restaurant to myself. The service was very friendly and nice. I ordered the Pho Bo with cooked beef. It came out less than 10 minutes later. This literally hit the spot for my full day of hanging out at the museum earlier and shopping ahead. The pho was very flavorful and they give you a hearty portion - definitely enough for leftovers. Even though it was so hot that I burnt my tongue, I could not stop slurping the delicious broth. The only thing I did not like about this dish was the fact that there was not enough meat. I do see that on the menu. There's a surcharge for extra meat in the soup, but I do feel like they were a little stingy on the tasty beef in my dish. The sprouts, basil, and jalapeños were fresh and they gave a good portion to add in. Overall, based on the delicious pho and great price I will be back for another visit.

Everything we had was super tasty! Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately and seated. Our waitress and waiter (we had two) were super sweet, attentive, and cheerful. I missed eating home cooked Vietnamese food so we decided to come and enjoy a meal here. Everything was clean (floors, tables, and bathroom). We had the following: Grilled pork summer rolls: 8.5/10 - fresh, bright, and full of veggies, vermicelli, pork, and a crunchy roll inside. It was so delicious! I love summer rolls and this hit the spot! The peanut dipping sauce went so well with the rolls. I loved how the rolls had so many great textures. Pho dac biet (combination): 7.5/10 - the broth was alot more flavorful and it came with a generous amount of meat (beef balls, sliced beef, tripe) and lots of fresh veggies (lime, cilantro, jalapeno, mint, bean sprouts). Last time when we went, the broth was lacking flavor but now, it's pretty good. Beef combo plate w/rice: 8 - the beef was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! The lemongrass flavor wasn't strong or overpowering and they give you a good amount of beef. It came with white rice and pickled veggies (daikon, cucumber, and carrots) and fish sauce. Again, super flavorful and I actually cleaned the plate! The only small critique was that I thought the meat was going to be like short ribs and the waitress confirmed it was, but it wasn't. Avocado smoothie: 8/10 - I love avocado smoothies and its hard to find a place that makes it right. Here, it was absolutely perfect! The avocado's flavor really shined. Most places would make it way too sweet and you can't taste the avocado. However, I was able to taste the fresh avocado and the sweetness was on point. Overall, I'm super happy about the improvements and will definitely be coming back! Glad there's an authentic Vietnamese restaurant not too far from us now!
