Thai Iced Tea (post-shake)
Jeana L.

Grabbed myself a Thai Iced Tea at Komsan which is conveniently located inside the RD International Market Food court. The Thai Tea was very refreshing with a good amount of sweetness. The kitchen also offers a variety of other beverages including boba teas and serves desserts and main Thai dishes such as the Pad Thai, papaya salad, Tom Yum and Thai curry. Recommend to stop by if you're craving Thai Tea!

Really cool food court within RD international, and while they have limited servings, what they do have they do well. Thai food was great and while the ambience is like being in a food court of a mall, I still found it fun to look over it all the Goods from outside of our country. We intentionally ate first, so we could get a lay of the land. Once we were done eating, we went down almost every aisle of the store for future shopping list. by the way, if anybody has eaten seafood from here, from one of their tanks and can give me some honest feedback, I would love that. Here's what we had at Komsan: Pad Thai - wonderful my daughter said it was one of the best that she'd had and she's very. Penang curry - my dish, really flavorful broth with a mild kick of spice. Too much to eat at one sitting. Mango with sticky rice - less sweet than I have had previously, but I liked this version. Service was fantastic, order at the counter and your food is brought to you along with the food you get chopsticks, napkins, forks, spoons, etc. I was really impressed with the service, the gentleman that served us really wanted to make sure we had a good meal. Since there were limited menu options, this would not be a destination for me. But if I go back to RD Internationsl I certainly would love to eat here again.

Finally got a chance to try the new Thai stall at RD International Market and I'm happy I did! The pad Thai was familiar but much different than others that I've tried. The flavor was more subtle, but definitely there. The most balanced pad Thai I've had here in Jax. I asked for it spicy, but I don't think they alter spice levels. Definitely add the crushed chili peppers for a kick, I would stay away from the sugar as pad Thai is usually sweet enough. Portions were great, and they don't skimp on the protein. The noodles were al dente which I enjoyed. I waited until I got home to eat the rest which allowed the noodles to cook more, and absorb the sauce which made it even better! Great service as well, very kind owner.

This is a new restaurant inside RD international market! OMG, the food was so good! Had the chicken satay and Thai pink milk. They make their food fresh daily and you can tell. They were super sweet and even the packaging was cute. I love restaurants that do just that little extra. The bag had mints and menu attached with a pen! There is a lot to choose from but I will pick them each time.

Nice place to have authentic Thai food, very clean and great presentation, friendly Thai owner. You have to try grandma recipe, sweet sticky rice with mango.

I love Thai ice tea.

The food and drink and dessert are very good and refreshing. I love crab Rangoon, larb chicken and ice cream with sticky rice.

It proved to be a magnificent discovery in every single respect! Arrival was completely effortless, with a grand, spacious private parking lot situated directly out front. Stepping inside, the establishment is impeccably clean, tastefully arranged, and exudes a warm, sophisticated ambiance that honours authentic Thai traditions while remaining thoroughly inviting. The service was top-tier from start to finish exceptionally attentive, gracious, and wonderfully family-friendly. As is my customary habit when visiting fine Thai venues, I ordered a Thai Iced Tea to begin. It arrived crisp, perfectly chilled, and mixed to absolute perfection, making for a delightful afternoon refreshment. For my main course, I selected my absolute favorite, the classic Pad Thai. I was deeply impressed by the kitchen's thoughtful approach to hospitality; when my server inquired if I preferred red radish and parsley added custom touches I personally prefer to forgo they accommodates my request with total ease. My meal arrived with impressive speed and was an absolute culinary masterpiece vibrant, exquisitely seasoned, and piping hot. Between the immaculate cleanliness, tailored service, and divine cuisine, Bounxou Thai earns absolute full marks from me. A sensational spot I shall most certainly be returning

The place itself was nicely decorated, but had only one server from what I can tell. She was busy running to and fro, but taking care of everyone. We ordered spring rolls, Panang curry, and pad Thai, which all came out on queue and piping hot. As far as the taste goes, they felt a little flat on the pad Thai, with a sprinkling of burnt pieces throughout his dish. The curry was made with coconut milk and very tasty but a little more watery than I was hoping for. Overall, it was good and we both agreed that we would go back and give it another try. It's in a great location for us and satisfied a Thai food craving.

We started with the Gyoza, which is always a reliable favorite here. I ordered a mix of sushi including Tamago, a Philly Roll (properly made with smoked salmon!), and the Holiday Roll. The Holiday Roll was an incredible surprise--I absolutely loved it. Bonus: the portions were large enough that I had plenty of leftovers for lunch today. Lauren got the Drunken Noodles, but fair warning on the spice levels: she usually handles heat well and ordered a Spice Level 2, but it was incredibly fiery! She probably should have stuck to a Level 1, though she still managed to eat a good bit of it. The decor inside this location is fantastic, and watching the robot waiter cruise around the dining room adds such a fun touch to the atmosphere. Highly recommend! We didn't like it quite as much as last time. It was more liquidy, perhaps needing a bit longer in the pan to evaporate out some liquid and make the sauce more intense? This time it was veggie, last time chicken, which may have made a difference too. Our waiter told us we could add chicken to the veggie for $5 if we want. Our waiter was nice, and the setting might be a bit nicer than the other location (we were inside, but there's outside too). I'd like to try their mango sticky rice and roti canai sometime, and the satay again.

Love this place!…read more They have a new special- unlimitedNaan while you dine in. My husband and I thought it was delicious!

I've been to Blue Orchid a few times before, and while the service has sometimes been inconsistent,…read morethis was by far the worst experience I've had there. The food itself was good, which made the service issues even more disappointing. We ordered an appetizer before our entrées, but we were served entrée with no notice that the appetizer would be late or missing. When our dinners arrived, we asked about it (we were not told, we had to ask) and were told the sauce was still being made for the appetizer. Later, the roti was brought out by itself with no curry, with no context. Victoria, our server, just dropped it off. After trying to find our server for several minutes (because she did not check on us to ask how the meal was), I asked about the sauce and was then told that another employee was supposed to have informed us that they were out of it. She said this in a scolding tone that made me feel bad for even asking. Eventually, the curry did arrive, but by that point we had nearly finished our meals and we had spent so much time annoyed about where our food was, we were not happy to eat it. There were other strange service moments as well. Our table was initially missing silverware, and at one point I began refilling my own small water glass from the bottle left on the table. Victoria abruptly took the bottle out of my hand and told me, "No, I'm supposed to do that for you." That interaction felt unnecessarily brusque, especially after we had already spent much of the meal trying to get basic information about food we had ordered. The price point made all of this harder to excuse. My $17 bowl of tom yum was essentially tofu and vegetables in spicy broth. I understand that restaurant prices include far more than the raw ingredients, but that is exactly the point: when I'm paying that much for a simple entrée, I am also paying for service, atmosphere, and a pleasant dine-in experience. I do not expect to spend the evening confused about where our food is or feel scolded for asking about it. They did ultimately discount the appetizer by half, which I appreciated, but the overall experience was still extremely disappointing. This was our first time coming on a Saturday night, and we specifically chose Blue Orchid because we wanted to spend a little more for a nice atmosphere and a relaxing evening. Instead, the service made the meal so confusing and stressful that by the end my husband and I were basically angrily eating the panang curry. At this point, we won't be returning to dine in. If this were a fast-casual or primarily takeout restaurant or if it were even a slow weekday, I would calibrate my expectations differently. But at these prices, service and hospitality are part of the product, and on this visit they simply were not there. I've had better experiences here in the past, which is part of why this one was so disappointing. On what should have been one of the restaurant's strongest nights, Saturday evening, they did not simply drop the ball -- they forgot about it and scolded us for reminding them.

The décor was nice and there was a decent amount of seating available, enough to accommodate our group of 10 and another large group at the table next to ours. It looked like people came here with their families for special occasions. There was only one person working to cover everything from seating, take out, serving, etc., and he did an amazing job of staying on top of everything. He even took the time to explain to me that they recently decided to make their entire menu (save for the fried items) gluten free due to many requests they'd received from their customers. It was so nice to eat at a place that was so considerate! Their menu is definitely more fusion than authentic. I asked the server for a recommendation and he told me his favorite is the Curry Fried Rice, but it was a big portion, so I opted for his second favorite, the Drunken Noodles. I asked about the spice levels and asked for mine to be more spicy. It wasn't as spicy as I hoped, so I asked for a spice tray and added several spoonfuls of various chili flakes and peppers. My colleagues got the yellow curry and said it was basically flavorless, but they liked their Drunken Noodles. I'm thankful to have the gluten free option, but I was missing the essence of the classic/authentic flavor. Overall, the décor, ambience, and service was great, but the food was just okay.
