Lanna Thai is definitely a building favorite! We order lunch for our company all the time, and they always have everything correct and labeled. Our orders are always large, and they never fail. They handle every big order with consistency, accuracy, and zero stress on our end. We've been ordering from them for so long and somehow never wrote a review, but they absolutely deserve one. Every time, the food is perfect, the order is complete, and everything is organized in a way that makes my job so much easier. Thank you Lanna Thai, for always taking care of us and making our lunch days smooth and reliable! See you guys soon! :) -Pragmatic Works read more

I made the mistake of using GrubHub instead of Door Dash like I usually do. My food cost $30, but I had to pay almost $20 more for tip and service/delivery fees. I requested to meet at the front entrance of the hospital but they just left the food on a random counter and didn't even let me know they dropped it off. But I didn't take a star off for that. The food was nicely packaged. The ginger dressing was different (I'm used to a more orange ginger dressing instead of light yellow) and a little too sweet. The ingredients were fresh but wasn't large enough to be worth $10. The massaman curry was very hearty and flavorful (too much fish sauce though). All the ingredients were perfectly cooked, but I have had better Massaman curry at other Thai restaurants in Jacksonville like Mali thai. I would order something else if I return. read more

We went for a late lunch/early dinner this weekend. The service was great. The tables were good (so were the chairs). Disability access was also good. I'm not a Thai food lover like my husband so I'm unable to comment on authenticity. This place felt like a bit Asian fusion with Thai focus as opposed to a full on Thai restaurant. We tried the deep fried gyoza, spring rolls, pad Thai and Thai fried rice (both with chicken). All were delicious. The portions were huge so we had leftovers. Unfortunately we were done and gone before I remembered that I should have taken pictures. Again I'm not a Thai food lover so that might have colored this review. My husband said there were some traditional dishes missing from the menu but that the food was very good. read more

This place can compete at the highest levels when it comes to Thai cuisine in Jax. I stand behind them. Snapper was fried beautifully. I ate the tail so it was fried right. Thai Tea was sweeter here but paired well with the spicy sauces they brought out. Tons of veggies as you can see. Service was spot on. The location is tucked away and the inside is nostalgic and pretty nice. read more

There's a reason why I keep patronizing Lanna Thai and it's because the food is so good. The Tom Kha (coconut soup) has the perfect balance of sweet, savory, creamy and textured. I seriously can eat this every day and the portions are generous. They do it right here! The fried calamari appetizer recommended by my server was cooked perfectly. So tender and flavorful and I would definitely order this again. The Curry Dumplings appetizer was very filling and had a complex blend of spices and richness. This appetizer was so comforting and satisfying and enough to share with others. The Drunken Noodles were good and although I'm accustomed to a more wet and saucy version of this entree, their version was still delicious, but different from what I've had. I ordered it with shrimp, but I probably should have gotten the beef. I will try that next time. Their Pad Thai was also tasty and the portions are very nice so menu items to me were worth it. However, the Lunch Specials are a great deal if you happen to go during their lunch window. The service was fast, friendly and efficient while dining-in and calling ahead for take-out was also a great experience. If you have time, definitely sit down and enjoy the food, atmosphere and the authentic Thai condiments they have available to bring to your table per your request. A little something extra. ;) Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with exceptional food and nice decor. They've done a fantastic job making it really nice to sit and have a meal solo or with friends and family. I have to say that Lanna Thai is one of my favorite places to get food on the Island that's made-to-order and consistently delicious. I look forward to trying more items on their menu and, of course, writing about them. read more

Great local restaurant and the kindest family run business. The decor is adorable and traditional. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I recommend trying for lunch when the prices are more appealing and the salads are included, double check incase it has changed. I ordered pad thai. Very good, a little sweeter than I've had in the past as I love thai food!I needed some roasted.chili sauce but they didn't have any. I cried internally. I will start bringing it w me because n it is desperately needed as its a staple in most thai restaurants and homemade usually. The gyoza was pretty good. I prefer panfried but they had steamed or deep fried. We ate them, they were good just.not our preferred method.to enjoy. Staff was friendly and kind. No discounts for seniors or military. Salad was delish! One side dish can feed 2 adults. The pb dressing was delicious. The ginger we tried too and it was equally as delish. The parum chicken aka amazing chicken was delish and a nice portion, we did thai hot 4 and it was a good Very hot flavor but pleasing if you lobe.hot! I recommend trying it first at lunch and return for a romantic dinner read more

Very pleasant waitress, Pad Thai chicken sauce was very good. They did run out of the regular thin noodles, but she did ask us if this was ok to order with wide noodles while we were ordering. I thought it odd that again one more restaurant runs out of its main ingredient though. Been happening a lot in the local restaurants lately. read more

Mmm, mmm, mmm! I could not say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere is quiet and fitting, the staff are very accommodating and know the menu exceptionally well. I tend to have a hard time eating curries because a lot of places put cow milk in them, but they make theirs with coconut milk, the way it's supposed to be. I've been here a few times, and haven't had anything that I didn't like. Including chicken sate, spring rolls, Panang Curry, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, and I just tried the basil rice. So good and highly recommended. read more

I think this is under new ownership since the last time we came. The waitress/host Petchie has a great attitude and was great frequently checking how we were doing and refilled our drinks The food was hot and in my opinion some of the best I've had there in a long time. We had fried bananas which is a dessert and is little bananas rolled in a lumpia wrapper and fried. Served with dallops of whipped cream. My wife had Scallop Bang Bang. She liked the size of the scallops and they were cooked and a sweet/sour method on veggies which she liked. She also had the rice and chicken soup. It's a simple recipe but tasted really good especially since it was 36 degrees outside. There was a lot of chicken in it too so it's a well loaded soup in a large bowl. I had Drunken Noodles with pork. An unusual flavor that I can't pin down but I really liked it with large flat spaghetti type noodles. The combo fried rice had chicken, pork, shrimp and veggies which was a great side dish for all the food we had. read more

Great Thai food for a solid price in a great atmosphere. Very authentic Thai restaurant.

The customer service over the phone makes the whole experience quick and easy! This is a great place to order good takeout.

I enjoyed the garlic chicken - it came out hot and was well cooked. The service was good, but it was very hot inside the restaurant and that took away from the overall experience. read more

Food was very tasty and not as spicy as I was expecting. Ambiance was very pleasant with instrumental music playing softly, which was nice because you could actually have a conversation. Service was quick. Our server was very polite and made sure to check back to see if we needed refills. So good! Such a hidden gem. The inside is beautiful, the staff is friendly and food is wonderful. I got the Thai tea, Tom kha soup with chicken and crab Rangoons! My husband got the calamari and also really liked it. All of the above were incredible but the Tom kha was definitely my favorite. It had plenty of chicken, it was savory and I truly enjoyed it. I stopped in just to grab a quick bite and treat myself to lunch and it was a delightful break to my workday! The restaurant was quiet but there were about a dozen other patrons. I got my usual Pad WoonSen when I go to Thai restaurants because a)... I know I like it and b). I know how to pronounce it. The staff was very quick to bring me a menu my drink and shortly after I ordered I got my starter ... chicken and rice soup. Staff was very attentive and friendly. My server was smiling every time I saw him and that is a nice change from some restaurants where it appears that the servers hate their job. I will definitely go back here for dinner. read more

Once a year for the past several years, Lanna Thai is one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we're in Jax. The food is always top-notch. We stopped in for lunch today and I was starting to get hangry, so we opted for the lunch special and the chicken rice soup was exactly the thing to take that edge off. Very generous amounts of chicken and rice. That with the Thai Tea, Curry Dumplings, & Pad Thai made for a sumptuous repast at midday. Service was, as always, wonderful. All that said, the following criticism is said with much love: the inside door of the men's room needs a thorough cleaning and maybe repainting. Ew. Ew. Ew. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants I've found in Jax!! I adore the food, the staff and the great environment. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious, however I do like a bit more spice in some of my dishes. They didn't ask how spicy I wanted the basil shrimp. I told my server I would like it medium spicy, however it was pretty mild. I would gladly return, and knowing that now, I would be very specific with how spicy I wanted it or would ask for some hot sauces on the side. Everything was fresh. I appreciated that the servers were wearing masks. read more

First time having Thai food and I am glad it was here. The food was fresh. The service was good. I had the crab Rangoon. The crab was more of a crab paste it seems like but was still good. I also had shrimp fried rice. You can choose your level of spice from 1-5. I chose 3 and it was spicy. The portion sizes are big. I ate about half the food and took the rest to go. read more

Love Lanna Thai! wonderful Thai food with friendly knowledgeable and efficient service. Especially fond of the red curry but really the yellow and Penang curries are just as good. Still, an excellent Thai restaurant and worth travelling to Fleming Island. read more

I wish they would keep true to their spicy scale. It's 1-10 I ordered a 2, and my shrimp pad thai is really spicy like an 8! It was hard to not have my eyes watery while I ate it. A friend visiting from Arizona wanted Thai food because she said she didn't get to eat it much where she lives. We looked on Yelp and Swarm for a Thai cuisine restaurant that would be near us and found Lanna Thai. What a hidden gem! Even the entrance is nicely decorated. The food was superb. I was able to order items without onions (allergy) and my friend was able to get tofu. The Pad Thai was delectable in a tamarind sauce. My fresh veggies with chicken was light and tasty. The chicken satay appetizer was excellent and the dessert, sticky rice with peaches, was luscious. Friendly service and reasonable prices. It's all good! (My photos are of the food to-go. But the plated food was artfully served.) read more

We love Lanna Thai. The service is fantastic. The veggies are super fresh and the sauces are delicious.

You're watching a stage show. You're there specifically because of the lead actor. However, something is off. The set has been saturated, amplified, and over-designed to the point of being gaudy and offputting. I went to this Thai eatery for a "basil fried rice" lunch. It was around Thursday noon and a couple of other tables were occupied. I drank water. The dish arrived with ingredients that were lubricated to the max by Thai chili paste (oil). It felt like eating regurgitated food. I don't need to eludicate, just see the photo (which shows that much oil even with most of the food already eaten). I came very close to letting my inner "Bob Ross" urge--Thai food style--take over. Of course, one tragic result was the star of the dish (hint: it's the Thai basil) unable to shine. A normally bright/aromatic plant but, this time, had been cruelly drowned in a sweet liquid. As though the chef had physically used his own two hands to squeeze the life out of the poor herb, until only a few degenerated and dispirited leaves were left to pity this customer. read more

We went when this place first opened! Having been to Thailand, we thought the food, the service and the atmosphere was ON POINT. Unfortunately, have not returned. On a good note... I heard Lanna Thai was resold once again soo things may be back on track! We'll have check It out soon! read more
