This restaurant seems like a hole in the wall but the food was hot and fresh. Parking is free and shared in the plaza parking lot but easily accessible . I think the soup was the star for me. The green curry met my standard but didn't stand out from local competitors The restaurant itself is small with a few tables so I recommend calling ahead or getting it as take out.

Thai Peanut Sauce (Pra Ram) - Delicious!!! And I love how they made the to go order super cute! I thought that was a nice touch :)

Absolutely love this place. I've only ordered takeout so far, but it is so incredibly delicious. I get Pra Ram at every Thai place I go to as it's my favorite dish, and this is my favorite version on this side of Jax. I also got the lumpia, which was delicious as well. I crave Pinto Thai a lot, especially for the Pra Ram, and highly recommend!!

Pad Thai was very disappointing No egg, no chives, and a small amount of protein even though I ordered double protein.

Has gone down hill. Very disappointing. Was so good when it first opened. It supplanted Buddha Belly and other places, but not any more.

Khao Soi

Came here for lunch. The place is small with very few tables but we were seated right away. I love noodles so I ordered Khao Soi with chicken as protein. The curry flavor is on point, so delicious! I didn't particularly like the fried egg noodles, I would just prefer them like normal, boiled and soak under those yummy curry soup! My husband ordered the Crispy Duck, it was indeed crispy and tasty. However, I feel like the portion is small for the price. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch!

Not many choices for Asian cuisine near by. Here on quick vacay. Decent place if you are wanting noodles. I had better and I've had worse. Small place and nice service. The soup noodle dishes looked delish from the photos but craving noodles.

Amazing. Everything I've had is always so good and their service is nice and fast!! Don't skip this bistro is you want Thai!

Awesome, awesome, awesome for 3 of 4 days ordering here, If you're in Jacksonville and craving authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than Pinto Thai Bistro! Every dish we tried was a masterclass in balance and flavor, but the Tom Kha with shrimp stole the show--adding noodles took it to another level. The broth was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, hitting that ideal Thai hot level--bold but not overpowering. The chicken satay was cooked to perfection, the spring rolls were crisp and delicious, and while the beef drunken noodles weren't our favorite (we prefer a double-wide noodle), the flavor was still fantastic. We were torn between the Panang curry and red curry, both incredibly flavorful and satisfying. But what truly made the experience special was ING, the heart and soul of the bistro. She welcomed us with a warm smile each day, making us feel like family. Exceptional food, amazing service--Pinto Thai Bistro is an absolute must visit!

Khao Soi

Been looking for a place here in Jacksonville that serves Khao Soi. Found. This place and it didn't disappoint us. Everything we ordered was delicious. Khao Soi is flavorful. Pad Thai with fried chicken was tasty giving a twist to the normal chicken pad Thai we typically get. The pinto fried rice and Pra ram were amazing. The place is a little small about 4 tables only but service was good. We will definitely be back to try it other dishes and get our Khao Soi again.

I had the Naam Lum Yai (Longan Juice) to drink, which was a sweet fruit juice that I would compare to lychee. It was delicious, and definitely something to try if you like a sweet, non-alcoholic drink. The two special menu items that I tried were the Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers) and Thai Boat Noodle Soup with pork. The grilled pork skewers were simple but tasted great. They came three to an order and were a great, protein forward appetizer to the meal. I also tried their vegan wings, which is a unique dish I haven't seen anywhere else in the area. My favorite dish was their Thai Boat Noodle Soup. I find it hard to discover delicious soups that are filling and deliver in strong flavors, but this one absolutely hits those marks. It had a great combination of savory and sweet, which was totally unexpected but worked together beautifully. The broth alone was so delicious, and the sliced pork really elevated the dish. I also enjoyed the noodle choice. The chef did a great job with this one. The meal as a whole was well balanced, and I left feeling with my tummy feeling satisfied. This special menu will return on Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th, and I highly recommend you stop in for that amazing soup!!! Although I did not get a chance to try a cocktail, their menu was extremely creative, and from what I saw on their account, each drink is presented in a really fun display. The owner, Noom, was so sweet to everyone in the establishment and will welcome you in with open arms!

We ordered two rolls: the Las Vegas roll (salmon, mango, and cream cheese) and a specialty Phoenix roll with spicy tuna inside, topped with lobster salad, tobiko, and avocado, served with wasabi mayo sauce. The rolls were a decent size, but the flavors didn't really stand out and felt like a slight miss. For an entrée, I ordered the Thai fried rice--specifically the Thai Special basil fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, and egg. I chose heat level #2, which was just right. However, there were only four small pieces of shrimp, which felt skimpy. The portion size was what I expected, but was disappointed to find a paper wrapper mixed into the fried rice. This was a phone order for two people, yet we were only given one set of chopsticks and one soy sauce container. Small details like that matter. For a first experience, this place fell short of expectations. The restaurant was pretty packed for a Wednesday night, and the ambiance looked welcoming and comfortable. Maybe dining in would be a better experience. Pricing was also slightly higher compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.

We ordered a couple of appetizers to start. I had the Satay and she had the steamed Gyoza. My Satay was very good and I liked that there were big pieces of peanut in the dipping sauce. She liked her Gyoza a lot and really liked that it wasn't slippery like it can be when it's steamed. I had Beef Pad Thai for my entree and I went with spice level 1. I liked that their version isn't overly sweet like it can be elsewhere. I don't really mind when it's sweet but I also like knowing that there's somewhere I can go when I don't want that. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that spice level 1 was very easy for me to get through. My wife ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. 90% of why she ordered it was because it's served in a pineapple! She went with spice level 1 as well and said she could easily go to 2 or maybe even 3 in the future. The rice itself was good and she loved the chunks of pineapple all through it. We both had plenty to take with us which will make for a great lunch tomorrow. I'm glad we finally tried this place we've heard so many good things about. We will be back! She has a sign on the wall stating as much: this is authentic, it may take time to cook, it's not watered-down or Americanized--it's what she cooks at home. My red curry left no doubts she means what she says: it was authentic, the curry gravy was delicate and not overly thick. That's all I had but it was very good and the atmosphere is welcoming and pretty standard for a small East Asian restaurant these days: modern, clean, nice but not in any sense really different or outstanding. The chef--Birdie is her name--is super-nice and clearly loves what she does. My only possible criticism would be I'd like to see some rarer curries offered and other Thai dishes you seldom see in the States. I believe what she does is fully authentic, but her selection of dishes still is pretty standard but that may well be necessary to meet customer demands.
