Chocolate Cake wasn't bad, butbwhat i believe to pineapple cake or something was very dry no flavor. I dont go to buffets for the deserts, so..the chicken an the rest of the food made up for the issue. A closer to home buffet , they did have a sign up for all you can eat crab legs on Sat 3-7pm.

The desserts were on a table in the back and were pre cut so I imagine they were dried out. I found an empty pan where there was supposed to have been a hot cobbler but it was not filled while we were there. The waitress was friendly and attentive. When I went up the first time there was no shrimp and I was very disappointed. I tried the fried chicken but it wasn't that good. The veggies I tried were good. Some were fresh and some were not. The second time I went up there was shrimp so I felt a lot better about the dinner. The shrimp were done well and the sauce I found was good. The atmosphere is homey/country and nothing fancy. I only saw tables but there was another room that I didn't go in so it might have had some other kind of seating. It's as expensive as the larger buffet's , even with a senior discount, which was a surprise. Tea is an extra charge, so I can't comment on that. I would give it another try if in the area again.

I've been on the hunt for a great Asian buffet in Jacksonville, and this was one of the few I…read morehadn't tried since COVID. We visited on a Friday for lunch, and the dining room was about 40% full--comfortable, not crowded, and easy to enjoy. ** Pros ** * Atmosphere: -- The space is surprisingly nice for a buffet. Two walls feature projected moving murals, and another showcases a large mountain scene. It creates a relaxing, modern vibe. * Food Quality: -- Everything we sampled--and we sampled a lot in small portions--was consistently good. -- Temperatures were spot‑on: soups were hot, desserts were properly chilled. -- Flavors were on par with other Asian buffets in Jacksonville, and in some cases better. -- The hibachi station is on the smaller side, offering two meats and a handful of vegetables. It's possible they expand options at dinner. -- Sushi selection was solid, with all the standard rolls you'd expect. -- The pork bun was the best I've had in town. It was light and had a great taste. * Value: At around $14 per person for lunch, we felt the price matched the quality and variety offered. ** Cons ** * Limited Variety: The overall assortment isn't as large as some of the newer buffets that have opened in the past year. Maybe the assortment is a bit larger at dinner or on the weekends. ** Overall ** We felt the visit was worth the drive from the Southside, and we'd happily stop by again when we're in the area.

Service was attentive and quick to clear plates, which is key when you're making multiple rounds (and yes... you will). It's also a great family option. I also thought their "over-eat/waste food" policy was hilarious and honestly reasonable. If people are wasting food when others are starving in the world... yeah, I get it! The ladies' room was very clean and even had toilet seat covers (a big win for me!), but C said the men's room was a bit on the gross side, so hopefully that gets some extra attention soon. We decided upon this place based on reviews, including from all our oldest grandchild, who said that he had been taken here and everyone enjoyed it. we knew it had previously been a Japanese/Asian grill for many years, but now it is a Korean style barbecue and hot pot.m, so we stopped in. first be aware that this is not a cheap meal, it was $37 per adult. that said, you get access to a variety of proteins and options. I will also say that my experience was quite a bit different than that of my wife. to start, you get one type of flavored broth for your hot pot in which to cook proteins or vegetables. The table also comes with a built-in grill if you choose to Cook that way. My wife selected the mushroom broth base and I chose the pork broth base. I must say, my wife added her own spices/sauces and enjoyed her broth so much that she shared with me and it greatly enhanced my experience. We enjoyed it so much so that we took the remainder home - there was a by weight up charge for taking this or anything else home. initially I felt that was a little expensive ($5) for taking home What amounted to 2 cups of broth, but we made Ramen out of the next day and it was the best Ramen I've had in a long time, so kudos to my wife for having seasoned it so well. my pork broth was not very flavorful, but I was being lazy and did not add any sauces to it, so I was disappointed, but frankly that is probably on me. In the middle of the restaurant is a very clean and well stocked protein buffet that has all types of seafood, pork, chicken, and beef offerings. I selected many of these, and went directly to the grill instead of cooking some of them in the hot pot. i ended up over cooking several of them before adding them into my hot pot, and they weren't good, but once again my disappointment is in part due to my impatience or inattentiveness. my wife enjoyed her selections very much because she didn't overcook her proteins. my favorite thing was the beef Bulgogi and Korean short ribs, which I grilled (or my wife did) and these were delicious, marinated in an excellent sauce and I frankly could've and should've probably just eaten several plates of this. they had a sushi/dessert bar with typical fare; my wife did not partake in any of this. I tried several of the sushi rolls and they were OK -- frankly this is probably not what you would gravitate to if you're going to a hot pot/Korean barbecue restaurant. their desert offerings were fine: I enjoyed the tiramisu and the Asian style donuts, which were very doughy, but I love them. My wife thought they were just meh. they were alcoholic options, but we were already going to be at $90 with tip and take home broth so we just had waters. I apologize for forgetting the servers name, but his service was excellent, due to attentiveness, explanation of the options, and making sure our drinks were consistently refilled. The ambience was nice, modern, clean. so my take away is that this would be closer to a 3.5 star review versus a four, as this was expensive and everything that I tried other than the grilled Bulgogi and what my wife shared that she had added to her broth) was just OK. However, my wife enjoyed the meal so much, that alone is worth it. Also, I should attribute some of the "disappointment" to my own laziness or overcooking of the proteins on the grill. I would go back for another special occasion, but at the price point, it would not be a weekly choice.

Had Sunday lunch buffet. The sushi bar is excellent. Very crowded but the staff seemed to keep up and replenished dishes as needed. Side note apart from food and service....noticed an elderly customer with a cane come in alone.. Not only did hostess assist her to her table, she pulled out her chair for her, stowed her cane safely under the table and together with the waitress they got her food from the bar. Nice to see they helped without being asked. Nice people. Would recommend. read more
