I had a very disappointing experience with Unique Eyewear…read more On February 7, I provided my prescription and was told my glasses would be ready in about 3 weeks. However, things quickly became frustrating due to constant delays and inconsistent information. On February 28, I called for an update and was told I would hear back on March 2. On March 2, they called and said the glasses would be ready by the end of that week. On March 7, I called again and was then told it would take 3-4 weeks. When I pointed out it had already been 4 weeks, they changed it again to 4-5 weeks. On March 10, they called and promised the glasses would definitely be ready by the end of that week. On March 13, they informed me that their lab had lost the frame and they needed to reorder it and resend it to the lab. They also said it was the lab's fault, not theirs. However, the lab is their partner--not something I chose--so I don't think it's appropriate to shift the responsibility to someone else. On March 16, they called again and assured me the glasses would be ready by Thursday or Friday that week. Now, more than 7 weeks have passed, and I still have not received any call to pick up my glasses. This experience has been extremely frustrating. The repeated delays, broken promises, and lack of accountability are unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable service.

Whoever came up with this business is an absolute genius!…read more I had two glasses that I had broken the frame and thought that was it. I really liked them and one was a very expensive frame. While at my optometrist I was recommended Vision Eyeglass Repair at 1144 S Winchester Blvd, Ste D, San Jose, CA 95128 Upon arrival, I found parking to be a bit challenging as this is a house. There is good ADA parking on the driveway. All business is done through a modified front wood door with an access window cut into it. The grounds are kept very clean and the business appears to be run by an older man and woman. I had a short wait, as there were two customers ahead of me. I learned that he tries to repair while you wait. The lady assured me he would be with me soon. Five minutes later I met the gentleman and showed him my broken glasses. He told me they could be repaired but involved repairing the hinges and other items. He gave me a price quote-which I felt was very fair considering the damage. I paid up front (they do take credit cards) and I told him he could have them for a few days. I came back a few days later and the glasses looked great. The lenses were clean, nothing was loose, the repairs looked great! I was so happy-that's why im doing this review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business!

I was looking for a place to replace my lens on my pair of sunglasses. All of the businesses I went to either couldn't do it or ruined my frames trying to do it. Vision eyeglass repair was able to fix my frame AND put the lens in within a few hours! I would definitely recommend this business for eyeglass repair. Note BRING CASH. I don't think they take card.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses from Ray-Ban to be shipped to this store. I received an email…read morestating they would arrive by Saturday, so I went in, only to be told I'd get a call once they were ready for pickup. A few days later, I got another email confirming delivery--but never received the promised phone call. When I returned to the store, I was asked to sit and wait. One associate was on the phone, while another stood nearby without assisting. After finishing her call, the associate walked away, and the other employee began helping a different customer that walked in after us. I waited about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. Thankfully, someone from the eye doctor's staff stepped in and helped me. Overall, the lack of communication and customer service was frustrating. If you're coming here to pick up an order, don't expect timely assistance.

I wish I could have taken a video of my experience today because it was straight out of a SNL skit…read moreand while the employee is something straight out of a comedy skit Im not really laughing! Its day before Thanksgiving Im a professional caregiver and have now worked 7 days in a row and im cleaning my sick and elderlies glasses and the eye pad falls down the sink and of course it was the end of the freaking world so I (barley hanging on at this point) look up the nearest lens crafters location and up pops 1620 saratoga ave. Cool beans! I Cruz on over with glasses in hands just preying they could help me and boy am I a silly Billy for thinking anything can ever be easy!! I walk in and the place is packed to the gills! 3 table in the middle full of employees and customers as well as customers standing around waiting to be helped! And here is where it gets super fun guys! The receptionist I guess you could call him complete with long heat straighted hair, earnings, and a full face of makeup and quintessential sing songy voice says hiiiiiiii you have 8 people ahead of you do you have a appointment? I say no and he goes back to laughing and flirting with a customer and im standing there questioning all of my life choices to date and deciding how to proceed with this situation! At this point I dont even know if they are willing to replace the eye pad for me so I ask the now no longer busy receptionist if I can ask him a quick question and he replies with sorry babe im suuuuper busseyy right now in his overly exaggerated fake customer service voice while he stands there shaking something over his head with zero people infront of him! I just turned around and walked out. Im sure he was busy but taking a moment to answer my question is literally his job and could have made my already not great day a little bit easier. Instead he chose to be a diva and display horrible customer service and lose a customer for life. I instead went to a nearby shopping mall and to a optometrist office and they helped me immediately and free of charge! I was in and out with a smile on my face in less then 10 minutes!!! I will not only tell everyone how horrible lens crafters is but I will be singing the other people praises and just found my future optometrist! The people at the other place know that by just being kind to me they made a customer for life! I guess thats why they make the big bucks and Mr. Long hair works as a receptionist at freaking lens crafters. Also what professional calls customers babe? Im a 40 year old women!

I returned for a re-examination and waited another two weeks. When I came back today to pick up the new glasses, the frame was extremely wide. The staff tried to adjust it, but it didn't help. When I asked to try another pair (wanted to compare) I was told that it was only the display frame and that if I wanted a brand-new one, I needed to specify that. This was the first time in all the years I've been a patient that I heard something like this. I said that a brand-new frame would be great. I paid over $400 after insurance (which is very good), and now I'm expected to accept glasses that will only become wider after a few weeks of wear. I am very disappointed with how everything turned out and am seriously considering changing to a different place. I hope the manager will help to resolve the issue, as I was told today that the manager will contact me next week
