Horrible! I agree. Watching a show and the signal drops and like blacks out. Way over priced especially when they know your other options are slim to none. I will drop the TV service today and go back to local programming with house antenna. Would not recommend read more

I have been on the phone four times trying to get a service person out to the house because of cable issues. Finally got through to a person and was put on hold by 2 people and then hung up on. You cant get any customer service from suddenlink. I am currently looking for a new provider. Suddenlink is horrible! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT USE THEM! Our area has constant outages (In November 2016, at least 9 per month, 2 - 6 hours each - no notification to the residence). When they have the outages, they expect you to pay for service they are not providing you. Also, they advertise 200+ channels, but majority of the channels are infomercials. TERRIBLE. Go with another provider if you can. read more

The problems continue with Suddenlink. Internet speed this morning 07-29-2015 9:30am D/L 18.00 Mbps U/L .78 Mbps. Suddenlink has sent numerous emails saying they will contact me since the first post. Still waiting for the call. Consolidated has finished the outside wiring and are scheduled to do the inside work tomorrow 07-30-2015. Suddenlink your time is running short for you to remedy the problem. read more

This company makes millions of dollars from loyal customers everyday, but when it comes time to give you a refund for the money YOU overpaid them, good luck getting your money back. Suddenlink has kept my refund and makes every excuse not to pay me MY money back. If it was reversed I would've been sent to collections. If you're thinking about switching service or cancelling in the near future beware because they bill you one month in advance so if you overpay you won't get your money back. Horrible cable/internet provider and customer service find another company for service. read more

After years of getting letters from Suddenlink to subscribe on a weekly basis, I finally signed up in June of this year. I was billed by mail for June and July, and paid that bill with a check by mail early. Since then I have had three phone conversations, one e-mail, one live chat, and finally went to the Conroe office, paid for August with a check, and asked for the sixth time to receive my bills by mail. I was told as in every previous occasion they would set me up to be billed by mail except for the live chat, where I was told I had to login to my account and change it myself. I logged in and tried this once again and that option was not available. Now I keep getting pop ups telling me I am past due. On my last bill they show a movie I did not rent. They seem to think if you sign up for autopay you will not look at the bill, just pay it. I pay several bill with auto pay, but do not trust these sketchy people with that option. read more

I feel I've been over charged by suddenlink for quite sometime now. All I'm supposed to be signed up for is basic cable and internet. I've called several times to get this matter resolved. They have me on a triple bundle which includes a landline when I went with them I told them I don't have a land line and each time I've called to question my bill I've had to state that I don't have a land line. Supposedly I am not being charged for a land line and their "bundle" is supposed to be cheaper even though I don't have one. However my bills have always ran 200 or higher with just basic cable and internet. I've also tried to view a list of channels that they are charging me for but that information is unable to be found on my bill or searched for via their website. All I can access is a list of ALL channels available in my area and not the basic package that I signed up for. $200 bucks plus now just let that sink in for a minute!! I can tell you for the past two years since I switched to this cheaper option they have been screwing me over and I have yet to get a explanation!! If you count channel 1 which is on demand I get 1-13. I can only watch 6 or 7 of those because several are in Spanish so I can't understand what they are saying and 2 others are inspirational channels which finally go off air and lead into constant infomercials. Totally ridiculous!! At my white end!! I'm currently contemplating a law suit!! If my area offered Comcast I would've already switched!!! read more

They get a 1. Because nothing lower. Bad service, bad cable and tv. Constantly going out yet prices going up. No choice to change as companies monopolize areas while Congress makes money off of them. Once I find a company that can service area suddenlink is dropped...... read more

The only reason they get 1 star is that the folks at the Tyler, TX call center are exceptional, but the indian call center is atrocious. After the frustration going to through the long menu and finally get to an agent, you end up talking to somebody in India who you can barely understand, not to mention what you're saying gets lost in translation. I called to tell them my cable was disconnected from the transmitter on the telephone pole and laying across the road. The Indian agent insisted it must be my power line laying across the road and not Suddenlink's cable. Hmm, I had power but no internet. Then he made an appointment three days later and after sitting there all day, I find out he made an appointment a month later and had cancelled that appt. I've had major problems with routers (expensive ones), only to have them not work properly, but amazingly, after renting one of Suddenlink's router - no problems. I think they have done something to the interface so that you end up having problems with routers other than theirs. Then they charged me $70.00 to attach the cable back to the transmitter on the telephone pole. I didn't knock the cable down. On top of that, they did not prorate my bill for the week I didn't have internet. When I talk to the people in Tyler, my problems are resolved immediately and they are so helpful, but when I have to deal with somebody in their Indian call center, it becomes a nightmare. Those Indian employees are obviously trying hard to help, but things just get lost in translation. I think Suddenlink has gotten even worse since Altice came into the picture. Despite the great staff in Tyler, I would not recommend Suddenlink to anybody, period. read more

On Thursday September 19th, my cable/internet went out at my home due to a weather storm. I called the 877 number and was informed via the automated machine, it was a regional outage. On Saturday the 21st, I called again and after about an hour and a half on hold, I was able to speak to someone. After troubleshooting, they could not fix the problem. I was scheduled for service on Wednesday the 25th, 6 days after the outage. Tech showed up and advised it was an issue outside, another crew would have to come out and fix that. I was again scheduled for a tech to come out on Thursday October 3rd....8 days later. My scheduled time was from 10A to 8P. Well after waiting all day nobody showed up. I called at about 9P and waited once again for about an hour and a half. Once on the phone with customer service I was informed that the tech had closed out the work order at about 930P. This "work" was done outside in the back yard. Impossible, I have flood lights that are on, 4 dogs that bark, and I'm sitting at a table that faces the back yard. On Friday, the 4th, a service tech actually shows up to do the work. He gets the internet working and one of three TV's working. He leaves telling me to call his cell phone if I have any problems. Well, the other two TV's are not working when he leaves. I call his cell phone on Saturday the 5th and leave him several messages. He calls me back and says he can't come back out today because he has other work orders to complete. You HAVE NOT completed my work order. I once again call customer service and wait another hour plus. I am informed that a tech would be out Sunday the 6th. This tech actually shows up and fixes the problem. Problem solved right?? Wrong. On Monday the 7th, I go up to the Conroe office and complain about the service being out for about 17 days. I spoke with a Christie and wrote up and credit request and handed me a yellow sticky with the information. I get my November bill and the whole bill is expected to be paid. I went up to the Conroe office and spoke with Devin, absolutely zero help from him. On Thursday November 7th I finally call and speak to customer service. I'm told they can credit me 20 DOLLARS, off my bill. My bill is over 300 dollars to begin with. (home phone, internet, cable). Less than 10 percent off my bill for half the month of service. Not what I expected out of a huge company like Suddenlink. read more

4 months with same problem. Phone and internet only work about 15% of time. At least 4 previous technicians visit. Problem never improves. Got it working the day before we left on 9 week vacation. Returned home and no service. Basically we have not had even reasonably dependable service for four months, but they charged full amount entire time. First appointment after returning home is 5 DAYS AWAY. Talked to supervisor who promised help but delivered none. The final help via cell phone was to contact our local Suddenlink dealer in Conroe. Believe it or not they don't have a phone line. We have to go in person. A phone company without a phone number??? Come on read more

To everyone who is looking for any kind of internet, or cable service provider i STRONGLY encourage you to steer clear from sudden link communications. Rashad Vick was the sales rep that convinced us that sudden link was the way to go with, "400 MBS a second" and other things like, "great customer service". I cannot begin to express how wrong both of those statements are. we have had 2 people come by to fix our motem that didn't have DVR (we baught the DVR, cable, and internet package). who on the second attempt finally fixed it. we are also having constant issues with our internet speed drooping significantly at random times, sometimes we have 50 MBS a second (not even close to 400 MBS) and sometimes we just have no internet at all. Let me reiterate, STEER CLEAR OF SUDDEN LINK COMMUNICATIONS. especially the sales representative Rashad Vick. I cannot even begin to express the frustration we have had with Rashad Vick, this man sold us on this awesome package which at the time seemed like an awesome deal and we baught into it. but come to find out when even the slightest problem would show up he would not answer his phone. we got mad. so we went to customer service instead and waited for hours just to turn our router on and off again with no different results. a few days pass and we try to call him again he would not answer his phone AGAIN, when we tried to call him. finally we called his same number on a different phone and he IMMEDIATELY picked up the phone, we hung up on him because of pure frustration. but he called back 3 times and left 3 voicemails. you have time to scam another customer but you wont get back with someone you already sold something too? i will repeat myself again, Rashad Vick is a scammer, a liar, and more importantly a thief of our time and money. He promised us a DVR but never gave us a DVR, he promised us 400 MBS internet speed but we never got 400 MBS, and he lied about our contract price. the only thing you will get out of buying their services are horrible customer service representatives who you will not be able to understand clearly, due to their HQ location which is based in India... read more

The technician was Moses Suarez and he was great. I had had another tech out on Wed, I will name no names. He didn't fix the T V to our wishes and left some things undone causing my phones and my computer to crash. So for 24 hours we had no phones, computer or decent t v . Moses came today and in a matter of an hour, everything was fixed. I can't tell you how much I appreciated his swift and excellent work. He was very nice and friendly. I will ask for him in the future when I need service. Thanks again Moses. read more

I've had suddenlink for at least 5 years. Not because I choose them, but because they're the only provider out here. They have been nothing but trouble and a hassle just to get them to do their job. Every year we have trouble with our internet and cable. From spotty internet speeds in the evening, to missing channels or channels that we can't even get. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worse enemy. It's sad when I pray for someone like comcast to come into my neighborhood. Sure they're crooks, but at least they're crooks that can give me at least a 8 MB/S download in the evening. read more

Suddenlink is pretty much the only decent internet provider out here. I don't like the fact that they limit the bandwidth usage every month. I'm a high bandwidth user. We have 9 devices and most of the time we have 3 going at all times. I can go through about 600 gbs in a month easily just between work and school not counting any games or videos my teen might like playing. The rates are reasonable but the service personal are a bit on the uneducated side as far as technical support is concerned. I used to work for an Internet tech support department I know what the process is and I expect decent service. I expect notification of maintenance. Also, I don't like the fact that they literally shut your internet down and make it impossible for you to use it if you have an alleged copyright violation. I download a lot of books, to my kindle, to my reader on my computer from amazon but also from independent sellers. I was accused of a copyright violation for something I paid for ( obviously not a violation). Additionally, files I didn't even download were included in the list, they did not list it all at once, no, they did one at a time over the space of several weeks even though the date on the violation was identical which meant multiple phone calls to them and about 20 minutes each time wasted. I work a deadline based job spending 20 minutes on foolishness costs me about $12.00 in money I could be earning so their invalid violation issues which weren't even mine or accurate cost me close to $84.00. This might not seem like much but it would pay the internet bill and my wireless phone bill for the month, so I count it as significant. Unfortunately, they're the only company out here so no choice but to stay with them. I hated comcast because of their rates but I have to say they are way better than Suddenlink read more

The internet provider from he11. I have spent a minimum of 7 hours on the phone with this company, and they have proven themselves to be liars, crooks, and thieves. Their service man lied, saying that I wasn't home when he came over and fixed our internet, and they firmly took his word over mine. And I had proof! Proof that he entered my home and fixed my internet: my internet worked after that day. I put up one heck of a fight, pointing out this logical argument over and over again, for hours, with their so-called "supervisors" (who are actually regular people hired to fight a customer even harder than the regular customer service people, who won't do a thing, and will lie about "escalating your issue"). The "supervisors" "escalated my issue" several times over several weeks and no one from "corporate" ever called me once. So that was a scam. This whole company is a scam. Because their tech lied, they charged me $65 for "not being home" that day. The only way I finally ended up wrangling myself out of those charges was to talk to their cancellation department, where they promptly removed the fees and someone called me later to beg me to continue being their customer, offering upgraded service and a $100 gift card. Obviously I refused. While still a customer, they had also sneakily increased our service charges by $10/month because of, apparently, "rate increases". PLEASE, if you have ANY other options for service, for the love of yourself and your own sanity, choose a different company. There is no easy way to deal with a company who is made out of pure evil. read more

I became a new customer with Suddenlink last week because they had better internet speeds for the same price I was paying at Centurylink, little did I know that the terms of my agreement were not specifically stated on my agreement or on my first bill. I used my internet like normal for the first week, with faster speeds, yet one day tried to open a new window and Suddenlink had a message for me stating that I had exceeded my internet usage two times already and by the third time I would be charged (only allowed 250 MB per month, and additional MB would be an extra charge). Not one person made mention that I would have an internet/wi-fi usage maximum/cap. I tried contacting customer service to speak to a manager but was left on hold for 17 min without speaking to the manager and finally hung up. When I did speak with a customer service representative she asked me what I wanted a manager to do because they did not offer unlimited internet usage. I asked why I wasn't made aware of that and she had no answer for me. Our family was with Suddenlink about eight years ago and were unhappy with their service back then and fired them to move over to Embarq. I highly suggest the public be made aware of this because the company never informed me of this important issue. read more

Suddenlink communications is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.. this is an amateur internet service provider I was given inaccurate information several times, the customer service was complete shit, I had scheduled my appointment a week before and when the day came for my appointment, I had it set from 8 AM to 10 AM because I had to be at work.. I woke up at 7:30 I didn't bug Suddenlink with a phone call until it was 10 AM because my tech has not shown up yet and Suddenlink did not call me once.. I had to call three times after 10 AM for them to finally figure out where my technician was and to tell me that I had to reschedule I was already pissed by this point I've had complete shit as customer service.. I had to wait another week to get my Internet installed, when I was notified of that I made damn sure that my technician fee would be waived because I've had complete shit like I said as customer service, and guess what the day the guy came I'm still being charged for a technician fee so now I have to call Suddenlink again, The technician was being an asshole so I had to deal with that as well. I called Suddenlink to ask about why im being charge for my technician fee when the week before they said they would not charge me and they said "oh we weren't notified, no one made a note about it... " after hearing that complete bullshit I took a deep breath and held in my angry curse words I just calmly said can you please reimburse my technician fee they said "absolutely sir the fee should be returned to your card the next day"...well guess what Suddenlink fails again.. when I call this time I am pretty mad as I've been mad about this whole situation.. when I finally get a hold of a human being - "how can I help you sir" and I said I was told that my technician fee would be reimbursed to me on my credit card and they said "sir we can't do that we can only charge it to your next bill" and I said welllllllll I was notified otherwise and they said "well then sir you received in accurate information" ....this was my breaking point I just looked in the sky and said forgive me Lord and I unleashed my inner demons on this poor customer service rep.... moral of the story don't use Suddenlink ever read more
