    Suddenlink Communications was extremely difficult with technical support! The automated system was…read morea terror, excessively long wait times, no resolution, etc. Heck, it took 5months for Suddenlink Communications to bury the cable flapping in the wind with each gentle evening breeze. Throughout the usual elevator music playing as I waited 10+ minutes, the call was interrupted by the standard automated urging to visit a website for help instead. (NO. I NEED HUMAN HELP HOMIE.) This process happened four times over a 2-day span. I fully anticipated the entire process, you know the call-for-tech-support-but-you-end-up-holding-forever-while-repeatedly-being-told-to-just-unplug-it joke? Well, slow clap for Suddenlink Communications because they are masters. My internet service with the company is slow but having 10+ phones, 3+ tablets, 2 laptops, 2 gaming systems and watching 2 internet tv's doesn't make it slower. It keeps right on chugging slow. Slow like pauses during online gameplay, pauses during shows, dreaded spinning circle during internet seaches. For the past week, all electronics are kicked off the internet randomly throughout the day and night. We can't watch an hour episode or play a full game of Madden without being kicked off. Calling is a option besides those wack turn-it-off solutions are wack but calling is such a loooooooooooong process. Livechat has the audacity to require your account number! I'd leave but I came to Suddenlink Communications because I had same issues with another company. Going on 30min+ and no end in sight. I wanted to officially have a response to report but...... geez.... holding past 30min usually ends with the call sounding a fax and hanging up on ME UPDATE!!! At 48min, I was able to schedule a tech for the following week.

    Once again, they don't listen. Worst cable and internet service ever! They overcharge a month after…read moreservice begins, regardless of what they quote you. You stay on hold for 20 minutes, at least, if you're trying to resolve an issue and they don't explain what this cable/internet issue was, because they don't want you to request a discount fir no service. I'm still waiting for Comcast to finish putting their lines in this area, so I can finally separate from Optimum forever!

We were also traveling a lot so paying for cable we weren't even home to watch. When Tachus announced they were putting fiber optic in our area we signed up, the price was so good and they said it would not go up. The installers ran the service lines out by the street so they didn't mess up our back yard like Xfinity did. Overall the service has been great, Tachus has generators for all their main branch units so they never go down after storms. Recently we did have an issue with a poor signal that kept cutting out. I called tech support and they tried trouble shooting over the phone but couldn't resolve the issue. The tech guy on the phone said he would contact the local support techs and send one to our house. I'm thinking, "oh sure, this will take a week or more". I was so surprised that we had a tech service guy call us and say he would be at our home within the hour! His name was Alphonso and he was just great. He figured out we needed a newer modem so replaced it as well as the patch cord from the modem to the wall connection as it had gone bad. He even showed my wife how to change some settings on here laptop to get it running faster! All this and no extra charges or anything. Good reliable service at a good price, we are staying with Tachus!

The owner personally walked me through the whole process of installation and service. Come installation day, they communicated and were on time. I had a last minute change that they were able to accommodate and went above and beyond to ensure everything was connected and up and running. So happy to finally have fast Internet and be able to support a local business. *** Them being able to provide you high speed Internet is absolutely dependent on line of sight to one of their main towers. I happen to be in a lower area so, to verify they came and did a line of sight drone survey (which was awesome!!). All in all after 10 years I finally have fast Internet from an honest no bull no hidden fee local company!

We are able to stream multiple devices without the dreaded buffering, seemless. We have even hooked up a fire stick to a projector in the yard and had a flawless outdoor movie. (We did decide to wait for a bit cooler weather to try that again) We are also WOW players, as any online gamer will tell you, lag is deadly, we haven't had a single issue since switching to LAW Wireless, upload speeds are so awesome it took a couple of days to adjust to the instant movement we were seeing in our toons. We still have one major test for it but that will have to wait for my family to come visit as everyone seems to be doing something different but all require internet, I will update after that happens. I love that customer satisfaction is a priority with this company, they took the time to walk us through solving a problem that we had created ourselves. Thank you Lindsay, you are awesome.

    The local gas company is involved in this company, somehow and they tried to get me to sign up when…read moreI set up a residential account. I told them I would consider it after I checked the company out. I had never hear of them. Evidentially they made some sort of deal with the developers of the housing tract I live in and are the only internet game in town, except via cellular or satellite. Can't get cable. fiber, or even old DSL, just Centric. Isn't that nice? After reading up on the company I decided to not use them, based on their terrible reviews, mostly due to outages, slow speeds, and lousy customer service. In other words, they suck at everything a high speed internet company exists to do. That's not my complaint against them, however. My complaint is that they now have my email address, in spite of the fact that I specifically opted out of marketing and never gave the gas company my permission to sell my contact info. I've tried to opt out, unsubscribe from Centric but apparently this "friendly, local, down home company" doesn't understand the word NO. God knows who else they gave my info to but they do plenty of harassment on their own. Any company that has to resort to such sleazy practices should tell you all about who you are dealing with. Additionally, the fact that they can't get into the market without paying off developers and forcing residents to buy their junk or have nothing should really drive the point home! Just remember, you DO have a choice and don't need to sign a contract with any provider. Honestly, as long as you can consistently get crazy fast speeds, there are tons of affordable options. I have SL and I can still watch a movie while the kids game. Same with the 5g cell plans.

    THE WORST PROVIDER THERE IS!!! I've only had them 3 months and have had about 4 outages. No reason…read moresometime, its just out; and you can never get anyone on the phone. It takes them almost 24 hours to call you back. The one time i got a call back the guy was telling me my system was back up while i was actively looking at a 'no connection' notification! Stay away from this company if you can. Their bad customer service is only surpasses by their horrendous product. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. For cheaper i had google fiber and it went out ONCE in around 5 years and that was because i needed new equipment. I was able to get someone and schedule an appointment during after hours. Try that with these people. I've called their after hours tonight 4 times and got NO ONE...my birthday eve is ruined by this jackas*ory of an "internet provider"...not surprised being theyve ruined my telework day. One thing they are ALWAYS on time for is collecting your payment! They NEVER miss that...or offer concession for the inconvenience THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE CAUSES...but i guess if they had to do that they'd be out of business. Ill be calling google fiber again tomorrow to see if there are any plans to expand to my area...as soon as there are I'm GONE from this, not even deserving of 1 star, privider....here's to hoping Google comes and puts them out of business!
