The eye doctor is a really cool person and fun to talk to. She gives honest advice about if you really need to update your glasses or not. At the front counter, Katy, is the nicest person and works hard to apply your insurance and any discounts to get you a deal. I walked out with a new, free pair of glasses thanks to her diligence. If you need an eye exam, this is a great option.

She explained that there is only one line to call and she is the main person to receive those calls. During my 15ish minute visit the phone rang about 5 times. I completely understand her experience (though she was extremely positive about it). I also believe there has to be a better way to connect with this service and communicate with the Doctor. Our Dr was very complete and offered an experience we haven't experienced since relocating 6 years ago to Ohio. As a result, the entire family will be coming here. I really appreciate the 1:1 contact education for my teenager who will be a new user to contacts. The instruction was delivered with encouragement, patience and understanding. Thank you! The office is very clean. The parking is across the street behind the bar/restaurant. Be careful crossing the street as there are lots of crazy drivers.

So 2/22/24 appointment - front desk associate begins the basis eye pictures and eye pressure tests etc. He is nice and courteous but perhaps to slow because manager lady , Brandy, steps in and grabs my sons head and holds and adjusts as she says fit telling the guy to just take the picture. That Brayden my son needs to get to the doctor. Hmm,little rough,man handled and didn't ask if Ishtar was ok to do, but ok we got the job done. Next, room with the doctor. He is excellent and informative... follow that with sitting with the manager to order my son's glasses and sports goggles for baseball. 2 weeks they will be ready they say. It went a little past time but ready to pick up. Here is where it really down spirals. I show up to pick up. Took minute the front guy found my son's order. We sit to try on. The front guy does not know how to put the band only on. Sport glasses arrived half and half to show and other associate had to call manager to figure it out. While I was reading the little paper trying to find instructions. Finally on to the glasses part. My 6 yr old was so excited but glasses were not straight on his face. The other worker she tried maybe 4-5 times to fix straight on his face and told me she don't know what else to do. They kept raising up or toward the right and all she would do is level them with the table. I even stood behind her to give her the benefit of the doubt. I told her I can't believe no one here can adjust glasses. And how first impression is everything especially in school and they should know that. The female worker instructed me to just leave she can't deal with this and me any longer. I said don't raise your voice at me I want this to be a pleasant experience but I want you to know How disappointed I am spending about $1000 on glasses and being sent home crooked and told to come back when the manager is available because they are new. I drove 40 minutes to the location to receive my product and no one capable or fully trained to send us home satisfied. NEXT day closed then followed by message from the manager Brandy to call back and speak with directly. I call back then she returns my call saying that I disrespected her two employees with my tone even though I did not say a single bad word. Brandy stated I had her girl crying in tears and that the employee forgot to lock the door because of me. Manager said she watched the video and that it was then after 6 pm and they are both new and I should have just came back a different day. That it's normal not to be able to adjust glasses sometimes they even break frames. That she is not sorry and will not apologize because she doesn't like my tone and I stated to her I am not going to apologize. I did nothing wrong by stating I wanted the manager s card and informed them that I would be calling. The manager stated I was rude saying all that. The manager Brandy also stated for me to go to any eyeglass place and get them adjusted that her and the doctor are fine with me and my son never coming back. Wow Customer appreciation right there. My time my money = your job security And because I m a mom worried about my son being bullied at school with crooked frames you tell me I'm out of line find another business to fix his frames. Or that I can schedule with her the manger Brandy but I am lost for words. That manager basically told me take a hike and I plan to find another company 100%. I've had glasses and contacts over 40 years and never witnessed such care in any of exam to pickup situations as this. Worst ever and I will not step foot in there again

My eye exam was the MOST thorough and Dr. Hamilton explained every step with precision and humor. Importantly, I learned why eye glasses ordered from lesser committed "eye professional" offices do not work as prescribed - they are made with inferior plastics - something you will not see endorsed from Dr. Hamilton. Only the best because he and his team truly care about their clients wellbeing. My research paid off and I hope this review helps you on your journey to find the right optometrist. My husband and I actually booked back to back appointments. I haven't been to the eye doctor since I was in 5th grade, mainly because I claim to have perfect vision, but after not being able to see (especially while driving) my family banded against me and made me go (insert mad face). And I'll admit, i was mainly not going because I thought it was because I was getting older and/or possibly because I am scared to death of that eye puff machine. Basically I'm Rachel off friends in the episode "The One With Joey's Big Break" and also where Rachel goes to the eye doctor, gets some drops and everyone has to hold her down to put them in, yeah that's actually based on my life story. ANYWAY -- the doc tells me the eye puff machine is old skool and that technology is no longer in use. Now they use these super high tech camera things and it's not *as* scary. After the camera screenings etc. the eye exam was where I seriously almost lost my shit. Dr. Guappone 1) looks like Bill Nye. 2) IS THE SMARTEST MOST ARTICULATE MAN ON EARTH (well at least in the eye doc world). He didn't give me some BS medical terms. He actually broke down what was wrong in terms I could understand and even demonstrated on a model, and as a visual learner I was super appreciative of this! Also as others have said, he is very thorough. When I started off my saying I was a perfectionist, he went on to say he was too - and hence the through exam to make sure that the exam matched up to the camera readings. I just could not believe the amount of time he took to explain both to me and my husband about our situations, preventative health, and plan moving forward. It was a breath of fresh air and seriously eliminated (well almost) my fear of going to the doctor. I cannot reccomend him enough! The only negative and -1 star. I felt like the glasses selection was a bit outdated. They had some trendy designers, but not nearly enough or in the styles I wanted. Although the young man helping me was funny and enthusiastic I was put off by how insistent he was when trying to get me to purchase glasses through them. I literally just learned I needed glasses, if I have to wear them on my face every day - I want and need to find the ones I actually like! And again, as a perfectionist do some reserach first. Albeit super friendly, would lay off the sales pitch. Overall cannot reccomend this place enough and I will certainly be back for my ongoing check-ups!

I took the prescription and went elsewhere and Ordered a pair of everyday glasses for $400 less than what I would have paid at Focal Point Eye Care. Do better.

The door was left open, I could see staff members including Dr. Crawford walk past the exam room many times. At about 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. As I approached the exam room door to leave, the Doctor who had walked past the door several times, suddenly appeared and entered the exam room. Never, while I waited did anyone check in to tell me the Dr. is running behind, etc. The quality of the exam was high. At the end, the Doctor pressed me hard to purchase frames from him right then and there. I had someplace to be. I left and came back to look at frames. I entered the frames area where there was one male working. Well, not really doing anything, just sitting. He glanced at me but said nothing. Apparently, he didn't see me remove my own classes and hold them in my hand as I browsed available frames. I walked past the employee a few times as I browsed. Not once did he offer assistance. Okay. After browsing for about 10 minutes, I walked away from the frames area and headed to the door to leave. Then suddenly, an elevated voice asked, "Are you going to pay for those?". It was the male employee. Pay for what I asked. He replied, "The frames in your hand". I asked, "what, these glasses, that I came in with?". His reply. "Oh, never mind". And that was that. Not another word from the employee. This is an odd place. The disdain that radiates from some of the employees for some of their customers is apparent. The staff clearly favors some of their customers, but not all of them. Would I go back or recommend this Doctor? Nope.

Also, the cost with my insurance is still so close to what I would pay out-of-pocket for the same products so I have great insurance and going to certain other places which are in network just like this one I pay almost nothing but every time I come here, I pay out the Wazzu because nothing is included with insurance and the prices on everything keep going up including part of the eye exam, which is some special machine. I apologize I forgot the name but the first time I got it done I paid $15 the second time I got it done I paid $25 and it just keeps going up from there and it's not covered under insurance supposedly even though it's part of an eye exam I think the office needs to reevaluate how they do some of the business practices to see what they can actually bill under insurance and what they can't because I'm keeping my current appointment but that's because I can't get in anywhere else at the moment because they're full on patients

I stopped a few times once on a Friday and once on a Monday and you weren't even open. I was told later that you were trying to see all patients on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday since you would have two doctors working and that you could eliminate two days. I guess it is a way to cut your staff. It would be nice if you could get your office in order so there is some consistency in your office. The staff is fine and has always been great at helping people. Lately though Clarkson is a nightmare. Prior to you taking over this was a great place. The previous staff and doctors were great.
