Alright, I've been meaning to do this for quite some time now. I had LASIK done on March 19, 2015. I am seeing 20/20 still to this day. I absolutely LOVE not having to wear glasses or contacts. I have had them since 3rd grade and my vision kept getting worse as time went on, having LASIK done was so worth it. If you have been considering it, stop thinking about it and just go for it! I am so glad I did. They will bring you in for about and hour and a half for a free consultation to let you know if you are eligible to have the procedure. Once the doctor reviews your results and says you're a candidate you speak with a financial rep. These ladies are amazing. Then you schedule the procedure. Before the procedure: You can't wear contacts, makeup and you have to get eye drops. The eye drops are sort of expensive, but you need them to heal. This is not included in the price, but it's a small amount compared to what you'd spend on glasses and contacts in a lifetime. You also take flax seed oil to help with your eyes. Day of: I was so nervous, I didn't know if I was going to go through with it. I got back into the observant room where my family could watch the whole thing. From the time I got in the room until it was over, it only took about 14 minutes, it was very quick. It was 100% painless. I did not feel a thing, just a little pressure but it only lasted a minute or two. Dr. Stahl talked to me the whole time! The team there was wonderful. They all took great care of me, talked me through the whole thing. Right when I opened my eyes I could see a difference. It was not 20/20 at first, but it's not supposed to be. Your eyes just went through surgery so they won't be 100% right away. They gave my mom (driver) a gift card, gave me a t-shirt and my bag for my goggles, and then we were on our way. AFTER: I was sent home to take a mandatory nap. They ask that you close your eyes on the way home and you will need someone to take you home. My eyes were very dry, but I could see street signs immediately. It was not 100% clear, but a huge difference. My only struggle with it all was eye dryness. It got a lot better after 2 weeks, and eventually I didn't have to use the drops at all. I honestly could not be happier with my procedure. I can see 20/20. I would recommend it to anyone. After being in the military for almost eight years, I decided to become a police officer. I was faced with a life changing decision to either get LASIK or give up on my dream to become a Dayton police officer. I decided to do my research and was pleased to see that two of the best eye surgeons in the country were just minutes away! I went in for a consultation and was pleased with the hospitality that the staff provided. They were all extremely nice and very knowledgable about what I had to ask. After talking with the nurses and doctors at Stahl Vision, I decided to go for it. They gave me all the information I needed leading up to surgery and answered every question I had. The day of surgery I came in with a little anxiety but it was put to ease shortly after talking with the staff. They made it feel like just another day. During my surgery, the nurses and Doctor Stahl were great. They held my hand through everything and explained things more than once to help me remember what I needed to do. No matter how many times I asked the same question they politely responded with the answer. After my surgery I walked out and really couldn't wait to come back the next morning not only to find out how the surgery went and how my eyes were but also to see Doctor Stahl and his staff. A friend of mine got LASIK a few years ago (by Dr. Knowles) and was always speaking highly of the Doctor and her vision. My husband has always worn glasses and myself, contacts. We decided to go to the free consultation and see what LASIK was all about. Every single person we came into contact with that day was personable and answered all of our questions. It helped that it seemed most every person there had gotten the procedure themselves! I have never been comfortable with putting in eye drops and was very nervous about the amount of drops required leading up to and after LASIK. Now, I'm an eye drop master :) and it was all worth it. The ladies at Stahl Vision and Dr. Knowles talked us through every step of the way (even during surgery, letting us know exactly what was happening and how much longer it would be). Our biggest regret is that we didn't do this sooner. I would recommend Stahl Vision to anyone and everyone. Not worrying about packing extra contacts on vacation, napping without waking up with dry eyes, accidentally rubbing a contact out, or breaking glasses and being nearly blind until purchasing a new pair is worth every penny. I had Lasik done in February 2016. I called with questions and didn't feel stupid. When I came during open appointment times they were busy but I made it though in a decent time... I know people get upset about waiting but the large amount of patients good sign! I work in a lab looking in microscopes and at computer screens all day that made my contacts dry and scratchy. I went to my pre-surgery appointments, surgery was quick (I sat up and could see!!!!) and my check ups. No problems and I went from being legally blind to having amazing vision! I am back today with my brother in law who is having PRK. Alissa is still wonderful and I am happy with the care they have given my brother in law. Can't wait to be on the other side and watch the procedure being done. Also, I just want to add that I chose to come to Stahl because all my friends in the service industry (I was a server/bartender for a decade) speak very highly of the way Dr. Stahl treats them when he goes out. He gave one of my friends a half off discount when he saw how thick his glasses were but I have heard he does this often. It's been a couple months since I had PRK. Reasonably pleased with the results, but I was terribly nearsighted before. I'm still hoping it will improve a bit more as I continue healing, but my glasses and contacts are GONE and I only occasionally wear reading glasses (I'm 46). The staff at Stahl vision was great, they really have a system going and have a lot of experience. They were patient with me and answered all my questions. They even offer snacks, drinks, and a t-shirt - obviously small expenses compared to the cost of the procedure, but those little touches show that they are interested in having you as a customer. The only problem with the high number of procedures is that Dr. Stahl only comes in briefly and seems to be anxious to either get out of the exam room (most likely) or get to the next patient (possible). He's nice enough and does thoroughly answer your questions, and it's obvious that he knows what he's doing, but a little more personable approach would make patients feel more at ease. I have dreamed of having perfect vision for many years but was afraid that the procedure would be painful, disgusting, or that I would have an anxiety attack. None of these were even close to reality. The staff was friendly and down right bubbly, making me feel comfortable and at ease during the thorough consultation. Dr. Stahl similarly put me at ease with explaining everything and answering many questions...and I had a lot! The day of surgery was simply no big deal. Just an overall awesome experience. My appointments were prompt and focused. People need to set aside time for the initial exam. There are a lot of different test and rightfully so, they need to make sure you're a candidate, and you as a patient want them to be as precise as possible so if you are a candidate, they do exactly what is necessary to correct your vision. Expect a lot of room changes and nurse changes during your initial exam and the day of surgery. Anyways, the day after surgery I had 20/15 vision. I know each individual is unique, however I am just so happy I got Lasik done at Stahl Vision. Dr. Stahl performed my surgery and was extremely professional. My insurance company offered no discount here, but did for more commercial, chain style surgery centers. I view this as a good thing. It's your eyes, you get what you pay for, and Stahl Vision definitley exceeded all expectations. I would send any family member considering surgery to Stahl Vision without any hesitation. read more

Stahl Vision made getting Lasik as easy and painless as possible! I was slightly nervous going into the entire ordeal (initial exam, surgery, post-op, etc.) but the staff at Stahl Vision reassured me every time I went into the office. Each staff member that I came into contact with was extremely nice, helpful, and professional. They constantly asked how I was feeling and if I needed anything else or had any questions. Dr. Stahl was extremely kind and encouraging in the manner in which he spoke and throughout the surgery and post-op appointments. I ended up having an issue with my eye where the flap got wrinkled and pushed into a bad position but the next morning he was able to correct the issue and made sure that I had a followup appointment to watch over the problem. After my initial consultation on November 22, I was able to be scheduled for surgery. I went to see Dr. Stahl for my corrective laser surgery on November 30, 2017. The recovery process was so rapid. After the recommended nap after surgery, I could see clearly that evening and it only got sharper the next morning. I have worn contacts or glasses since I was 13 years old and being able to wake up and see without glasses is a feeling I haven't had since I was a kid. You could sense how thorough Dr Stahl was during my consultation as he took so many pictures and measurements. He even called me personally that evening after surgery to check my healing. The cost was more than reasonable for having better than perfect vision in both eyes. The surgery itself was painless and quick. I had LASIK corrective vision on August 18th, 2016. It was the best decision of my life! Dr Stahl and his team were helpful right from the beginning. The day of my surgery, Jessica, my nurse sat with me the entire time and held my hand during the procedure. Dr. Stahl talked to me the entire time as well. I immediately sat up and had better vision then when I laid down for surgery. Dr Stahl told to me go home, nap, and he even called me later that evening to personally check on me. At my one day post op appointment, I was seeing 20/25! They sent me home a t-shirt and a card stating I no longer needed corrective lenses for the BMV! Absolutely amazing service and results! This was the best decision I have ever made. I have had poor vision since I was child, needing glasses or contacts to see ANYTHING. I would wake up night and just see darkness, which could be very frightening as a single woman living alone. Stahl vision gave me the opportunity to live a higher quality of life! I had my consultation on a Tuesday and had the surgery on Friday. The doctor and staff took great care of me and were thoroughly knowledgeable. I am at two weeks post surgery and my vision is improving every day! ***The only negative was the wait time. I waited an hour and a half for my initial consultation and almost walked out. (I used precious PTO from work that I was limited in and was saving for an upcoming vacation.) The third visit was a half hour wait. If I would have been late they wouldn't have seen me and I would have been asked to reschedule. I have appointments times scheduled with my patients and am expected to see them at their scheduled time. I expect the same courtesy from a dr's office that they expect of me!!! read more

I was someone who was very reluctant to get lasik. However, I felt I could no longer justify the cost of my very expensive contacts (which I had to wear due to a dry eye condition). I was very nervous going in and contemplated leaving right before my procedure. However, staff made me very comfortable. and held my hand throughout the whole thing. The valium also helped. The process was quick and painless. Well worth the investment. My lasik procedure cost the same as three years worth of contacts. Now I have 15 to 20 years of excellent vision. I highly recommend Dr. Knowles and Stahl vision. I just completed Lasik yesterday and my vision is already better than 20/20, how amazing!!! My eyes feel back to normal. I've now visited the office of Dr Brian Stahl four times recently. First for a consultation, then for Lasik surgery, the day after for a follow-up, and again today for another follow up. Every time I've been there, the entire staff has been pleasant, courteous, and has greeted me and my family with a smile every step of the way. I never felt like just another routine passing through. They genuinely seemed excited for me. Every single person I interacted with was a pleasure. I had PRK surgery with Dr. Stahl in June. During the surgery the staff made me feel very relaxed and the surgery was painless. Everything went according to plan. On the Saturday after my surgery, my protective lens fell out, which i was told that this could happen. I was able to call the after hours number, they contacted Dr Stahl and he was able to tell me what to do to ease the pain until he was able to see me that day. Every time I go back for my follow up visits the Dr. Stahl and his staff are great.I love not having to wear glasses or contacts. For many years I have hated to keep up with my glasses. When I had the chance to see Dr. Stahl, and his team, they told me that I was a good candidate for the LASIK procedure. I had lasik a little under a year ago and it was an amazing experience. I actually was able to get squeezed in without an appointment with the help from Dr. Stahl's awesome staff. I travel a lot for work so I was running short on days being in the area before I was leaving for a while. Once I saw Dr. Stahl he was extremely helpful, answering all of my questions and easing my concerns. On the day of my procedure everything went perfect. Had no complications and he walked me through the whole process while doing it and had me seeing in no time. If you're thinking about getting lasik I can't recommend Stahl Vision enough.
