Very friendly and helpful staff. As a new patient I was in and out quickly and felt very welcomed and comfortable.

I have been going here since 2005, so I LOVE Dr Snyder and their staff. However, today was the FIRST time ever that I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in their selection of women's frames. Most of what they had were plain-Jane, dull gold or silver. VERY FEW (three pair) had any kind of embellishments or bling. They hade a wide selection of those cat-eye styles, which I really dislike & wont wear. I almost didn't buy my frames there and won't the next time. I will take my Rx and go elsewhere. They found a pair in their back room that I lOVED and I got the order made for my new glasses. I hope they see this and get a wider selection ib b/c I dont want to change. read more

For some reason, they are unable/unwilling to process insurance properly. I am retired military and of Medicare age, but covered by military Tricare for Life. However, I have a Federal Vision Plan to cover routine vision exams. I had a routine vision exam in March, and since then have driven to the office twice because they will not bill my Federal Vision Plan. This is still unresolved. read more

I would not even give one star because that's how bad they are. I have waited more than 3 weeks for a trial sample of my contact lens prescription. I've finally hit the desperate stage of having no more lenses left and no prescription for a new years worth. All I get is the run around. I'd say this was just a bad year but this is my 3rd time where they have been incompetent. Once I get my lenses and prescription I will never ever be back again. My suggestion to anyone looking for an eye clinic locally would be DON'T GO THERE! read more

The doctor was really nice and I look forward to Being a long-term patient. :-) A nicer receptionist would've made the visit perfect.

Stopped by today 1/4/2021 to pick up a copy of my last vision test. At the desk behind plexiglass I was told I needed an appointment to get a copy of my test. I didn't have an appointment so the lady behind the desk said I had to leave and call to get a copy emailed to me. I had a mask on and was already in the building why couldn't I get a copy at that moment? I hope you can afford to lose customers because you've lost another one read more

In the past I would have given five stars because Dr. Shroder and Dave the optician are great but the office staff have really deteriorated. Dr. Shroder is a wonderful eye doctor and very professional, up to date, confident and gives the best eye care. But the office staff makes me feel like I am a great bother to them. Their ability to handle their computers seems to be a constant issue. The office itself is spotless, quiet and well designed. The office staff is very slow and easily get hostile.. Just sayinn.... read more

I am very happy and satisfied with my eye care received at the Fairborn Vision Center. My whole experience from my time with the doctor to selection of glasses was very professional. I have gone there a long time, not just for vision, but also for diabetes care, and continue to be extremely happy with all aspects of the care I've received. read more

I did NOT have a good experience with this business. I went in for a standard eye exam, and was purchasing glasses. They recommended the no-line bifocals. These cost a bit more, but they said if they did not work out for me, I could bring them back and they would replace them with regular bifocals at no extra cost. I tried them for a couple of weeks, and after deciding I was having too much trouble adjusting to them, I made an appointment to come in and have them replaced with the regular bifocal lenses. At that point, they completely denied having told me that they would swap them out at no charge, and charged me the full price for the other lenses. I had to contact my vision care insurance company, who took care of the problem by reimbursing me for the additional charge. Over a year later, I decided to give them another chance and called for another appointment to have my eyes checked. They put me on hold, and when they came back on the line, I was told informed that it would be best for me to seek eye care elsewhere. read more

Every time I go for an appointment, quick fix, or adjustment your team is always great! Thank you.

I had been a long time patient but no longer will go here after I recently experienced medical discrimination. Due to a disability and documented with a doctor's note identifying that I cannot wear a face covering, FVC refused to see me and did not attempt to make a reasonable accommodation per the ADA. I posed no direct threat to the health or safety of others as I am not experiencing any signs of sickness. Not only have you lost me as a customer, you have lost the three others in my family! read more

If there are no issues with your prescription or if you don't have a lot of complications then this may be an OK place to go. However, if you need work with adjustments or tweaks in your lenses then I would say it's time to start looking elsewhere for quality care. A disconnect between things around there make it difficult read more

I've always been a fan of the addage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", well Fairborn Vision Center is better than broke, they're great at what they do! Having gone through a handful of insurance providers, they always keep me up to date on what's covered and what's out of pocket. Their staff is helpful and friendly, and the doctors (although I've only had appointments once a year) always remember who I am and make me feel at ease. As a further testament, I've talked to some friends from high school who've left the state and make appointments here when they're in town to see their family. Like I said before, I'm a fan of supporting community businesses who're good at what they set out to do, and Fairborn Vision Center is excellent. read more

After moving to a new area, I wasn't sure which eye doctor was best for me. This was it! The staff was so friendly, the doctor was kind and explained everything to me, and even when picking out new glasses, they showed me the best deals and recommended things to me. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best eye care! read more

We have been going there for years, way back when they were in downtown Fairborn. Very professional doctors. We both wear contacts and get great care in getting the right scripts for us. read more

I have never seen doctors that care so much and take the time to explain everything like they do at Fairborn Vision Center. These doctors are top notch and I believe they are the best you will find anywhere. Everytime I go in I am surprised at the huge selection of very high quality frames and lenses that they have. I always thought that all glasses were the same, you just had to pick a fancy frame. Not after trying on a pair of theirs. They told me that with these digital lenses that I would see in high definition, I had no idea what they were talking about until I tried them on. I can see so well now that it is amazing! read more

I've been going here for several years. They've always treated me with respect & courtesy. They also treat my children with respect and explain things to them. When I was unemployed they allowed me to set up a payment plan so I could get the service & glasses I needed. The only issue I have with them is the glasses can be a little expensive, however I can come in and get them adjusted whenever I need to. I also can get a prescription and take them elsewhere. read more

I've been going to Fairborn Vision Center for a few years now. I like Dr. Shroder and the staff. They are very thorough and helpful during the exam process and when picking new frames. read more

I am always impressed by the knowledgeable doctors. Since I started with Dr. Boyd, many years ago, I've appreciated the practice's commitment to professional excellence. They don't just stay up-to-date, they are conversant with the newest innovations. Dr. Snyder is my personal favorite now. No matter how many patients she's had in a day, she makes me feel like I am the most important. She pays attention to even the smallest detail. When I moved away, I thought that all opticians would be like that. It took two other experiences to teach me that they aren't. Now, I am happy to drive the extra 60 miles. Eyes are important, and I want the best care available. read more

We love going to Fairborn Vision Center. The staff is always polite and the doctors are great. NO sitting around waiting on your appointment which was 30 minutes ago. They stay on time. read more

This practice is very well run, with well-trained staff, a clean and pleasant office, and plenty of appointment options. Dr. Shroder is knowledgeable, thorough and professional. He has helped me get my allergic conjunctivitis under control, and I trust him with my eyes! The practice also has an excellent optician who worked with me to find a set of lens options that help mitigate the harsh fluorescent lighting in my office. Not only is my sight corrected with the right prescriptions, but my eye comfort has improved. read more

I've been going to Fairborn Vision Center for almost 20 years. A few years ago, I got a bad pair of lenses (I was not looking through the center of the lenses, and they hurt my eyes), so I started getting my glasses elsewhere. After my recent exam, I got new glasses but found that I was seeing considerably worse out of one eye compared to the other. I called to see if I could have my eyes re-checked but, incredibly, they said no! I'd think that if a patient's vision in one eye started to degenerate in the span of a few weeks, it would be a concern - maybe indicative of the beginning of a serious problem - but apparently my optometrist at Fairborn Vision Center is willing to wait a year or two to make that determination. read more

I have been going to Fairborn Vision Center for over 40 years. The staff is always efficient, the building and equipment is very clean. The doctors are friendly and always take time to ask about other family members and catch up on any changes in my lifestyle. Dr. Neely is very patient as he administers the tests and takes time to make certain the prescription is accurate. I would not think of going anywhere else to receive my eye care. read more

I have been seen by Dr. Snyder for years and trust her implicitly with my eye health. She is thorough, knowledgable and professional. I keep coming back even though they are not providers for my eye insurance. That is how confident I am with them. Thank you for your care and for your giving back to the community! read more

My first experience with Dr. Snyder at Fairborn Vision Center was better than I could possibly expect. She prescribed contact lenses that fit better and provide me with the best vision I've had in over 35 years. Extremely professional, competent and personable. And the staff fixed a problem I had with a pair of glasses at no charge. No reason to every go anywhere else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Everyone was very nice, but I was not happy with the prescription. All I wanted was better fitting contact lenses (Gas Permiable). The contacts they ordered actually fit better than anything I have ever had and I didn't have to blink a lot to get them to settle down and see clearly. The problem was Dr. Schroeder changed the Rx to see better distance vision, but I couldn't see anything clearly closer than 10-12 feet away. With my current contacts, I see clearly from about 2 feet to a mile+. The problem with my current contacts is they don't fit well. I asked him to change the prescription and adjust it for better near vision. He refused to change the Rx and offered to fit me with progressive glasses to wear over the contacts. We seemed to have a communication problem. He obviously feels that distance vision is more important, but I was willing to sacrifice that for better near vision. He kept pushing progressive glasses or mono-vision contacts, which neither one meets my needs. I kept asking for an adjusted Rx, but he said he "can't", that "it was too big of a change and I wouldn't be able to see distance". When I said I didn't understand why he couldn't make the change, considering my current contacts Rx worked for me, he told me to take my current Rx and go order them at 1-800-contacts. I then asked him to order another pair of these great fitting contacts with my old Rx, but he said he couldn't do that either. I really don't understand why this has to be so hard. Give me a pair of contacts that I can at least see my car dashboard clearly and I'll buy some reading glasses. read more
