Helpful and just pleasant. AND not flooded with 30 pages of paperwork so many places have you fill out. off topic for a minute - BUT WHY CAN'T IT BE SHARED SO YOU ARE NOT CONTINUALLY FILLING OUT THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER....at any rate. I did not have a long wait...very impressive. The young lady that administered all the pretests before seeing Dr. Hefner was so great. She explained everything being done and why. Took time to talk to me and get everything down. Again, not a long wait for the doctor. HE WAS SO NICE. Came in, shook my hand and proceeded to cover everything I could even image for an exam. Because I am diabetic, over 65, and had cataract surgery a year ago, he covered a lot with me. Never felt rushed or pressured to hurry through. I have had a LOT of appointments with eye doctors since I stared with bad eyes in 4th grade....but I have to say this was by far the best experience with an office all the way around. My grandson and daughter will definitively use this office. AND ON A SIDE NOTE - I loved the chair I sat in and the receptionist went out of her way to call the person who ordered all their office furniture to find out where it was from..NOW THAT WAS OVER AND ABOVE...

Fortunately I moved recently and found a far more friendly and supportive group in Retina Institute of Illinois. Night and day to the treatment I got from Fox Valley. Don't feel anymore like getting the max number of patients ($$) through is priority, but that I am priority.

The clinic as a whole is clearly disorganized... from scheduling, to rooms, to overall demeanor. The dr has no bedside manner. He didn't even introduce himself the first time he came in the room. He barely looked at or addresses the reason I was there and was mainly concerned about how contagious pink eye was and told me not to touch anything. I would never recommend or go back to this practice.

He said" Next Week they will feel better " and gave me 5 days of eye drops.WRONG AGAIN!! Everyday was Horrible . I spoke to a lady about the Discomfort, she called back and told me the doctor ordered Restasis.. She said I'll feel better in 3-4 Day. Wrong Again. With the Discount Card it would cost $91a Month for 3-6 Months. I wonder if the doctor gets Kick Backs from Big Pharmo. My neighbor gave me the Eye Doctor in Elgin. I called on a Wednesday morning and saw my New doctor Thursday @ 9am. She spent a Good Hour with me. After she dilated my eyes, she finds out,, I had an infection. UNBELIEVABLE!! I got some antibiotics and my eyes started to feel better the Next Day. I Would Not recommend this Doctor.

I have always gone to the chain stores, I never had a doctor take the time to walk me through the results of my exam. I felt as if the doctor had nothing but time for me. He carefully explained the results he found from the exam. He talked about the type of glasses that would work the best for me. The staff was exceptional as well, kind, receptive, knowledgeable. I highly recommend this office if you need an eye exam. The best level of service I have ever received when getting glasses.
