Charming neighborhood Lebanese grill. Newly opened Lebanese restaurant located right off of Oak Lawn serving amazing food with authentic flavors. I always enjoy trying newly opened middle eastern restaurants. I don't always like the food but this one is a new favorite of mine! You walk up to a small restaurant located in a shopping center that has a cute outdoor seating area. The inside is small but they made good use with the space. You walk in and they offer you to sit where ever you like, inside or outside. As soon as we sat down our waiter promptly walked up and asked us for our beverage order. He was quick to bring back our beverages with some fresh pita bread, za'atar and pickled veggies. We both decided to order the mixed grill plate with baba ganoush and tabouleh. It's a perfect sampler plate since we have not been here before. After about 10 minutes the food comes out and it looked so good I forgot to take a picture! The flavors were delicious! I always compare middle eastern food to moms because in my book she makes the best, but this place is pretty darn good. Between the four of us, we ordered 2 sets of the ULTIMATE MIXED GRILL COMBO (probably doesn't need to be all caps :P). The waiter was surprised that we got 2 orders, and warned us about the quantity... but like Anakin said in Star Wars Episode III ---- "YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWAH.... MASTER!!!". The plates were filled, don't get me wrong, but it was not difficult to finish a whole tray with 2 people. It's got lamb, beef, and chicken for meat, and supplemented by huge fries and some veggies. On the side, you get some pita (refilled once for free) with pretty delish hummus and garlic sauce (yum!). In all, this is the option to go if you want to try everything and you have an appetite :) Highly highly recommend! We lucked out and came on a Tuesday ... Half Price Tapas Night! Appetizer: Dolmas, which they call Warab Enak. These were chilled cooler than we've had before. Still, they were tasty. My husband and I walked in Sunday afternoon around 2 and only about 6 people seated. After looking at the menu I told the server we will have the kibbe appetizer and two chicken shawarma sandwiches. She immediately exclaimed "I'm sorry we already ran out for today !" I told her "wow don't you think it's a bit early to run out of these foods when you have barely been open? " I ended up ordering a mixed appetizer plate with four options- the grape leaves were tasty and traditional flavor, the tabbouleh was nice, but the hummus and baba ghabhouj were without flavor just had color going for them. For the main dish we ordered the falafel plate. The falafel were fresh and crunch but the tahini was lacking in flavor. Guys, I'm an Arab who also runs a successful restaurant in another city. On my personal side I'm a middle eastern foodie. I'm very picky about food and look for the best flavor profiles. I wish the cafe the best of luck - but these issues should be fixed. read more

This was our first time here. Used Yelp and the community reviews to choose our dinner outing. The place is small and quaint. We chose to sit outside because the dining room was full (even in the 90 degree heat). We are glad we did. The patio has 2 fans to help keep the temp down . My man is not familiar with Lebanese food and was suspicious, so he ordered what I did. Beef Kabab, with baba ganoush and fatoush. The meat was so tender and flavorful, this was my mans first time eating ban ganoush at he wasn't sure about it but then he devoured it. I can go on and on about what I liked... I'm almost sad to write this review... I liked their chicken shawarma. My only concern is the waiter questioned why my husband didn't eat his hummus and commented he needed to finish it. Since my husband didn't want to be rude and tell him he didn't like it, I chimed in and said I would eat it. But since I was full from my plate, I ended up asking for it to be packed for to go. The waiter was kind enough to pack food to go for our table but we left feeling weirded out that we were told to finish our plate. Also, the last time we ordered carry out the chicken was dry. A review of this restaurant from the Dallas Observer popped up in my Google news feed today, so I decided to stop by this evening because it has been ages since I've had Lebanese food. I had the lamb kabab with grilled veggies on a bed or rice with a side of hummus. The lamb was cubed, not ground, and clearly not the most tender cut. It was also a bit salty for my taste. Still, it was relatively enjoyable and I have no major complaints about it. The rice was aromatic and tasty, and the hummus was the best I can remember having at any restaurant in ages. The pita bread was thinner than I'm used to, but still decent. Overall I have no real complaints about the food. The menu consists of what you would expect. Lots of kababs, tabouleh, fatoush, baba ghanoush, etc., and the entree prices range from $9 to $17. They have some beer and wines, but I don't drink so didn't pay much attention to that. The waitress was very nice, friendly, and had a good attitude. It was mostly empty when I arrived, so the food arrived pretty quickly. The decor was minimalist with two and a half walls covered in horizontal wood planks. It's nice, clean, and tidy inside (but the concrete floor is painted an appalling color of blue). They have 13 tables (so kind of small), four of which were on the outdoor patio. The front wall is made of sliding glass doors, so it was basically an open-air seating arrangement. That may not always work in Texas weather. I was a bit cold by the time I left tonight. The bathroom was a little untidy, but not bad. It was clean enough, but when it comes to bathrooms it never hurts to be a bit cleaner, in my opinion. I did think the music was a little bit too loud though. They do not appear to have a website at this time. I'll definitely be back. I think I'll try the Tawook (chicken kababs) or Shawarma Plate next time. Update 2017.03.15: I went back last week and had the tawook with fries and hummus. It was good and the fries were better than I suspected. I think the tawook will be my go-to meal here. Come here on Tuesdays for half price tapas! The best deal ever! I'm usually not a big falafel fan, but this place makes me question that statement. Their hummus/dip are also delicious, and they are very generous about their portion and pita! Their cauliflower was also pretty delicious, tho not anything out of the ordinary as they are just roasted cauliflower. If they gave some lemon to squeeze on it, feel like that might make it a bit better. Overall, I think this a good restaurant to some get some good bites for very cheap. Drove by here for a late lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The decor was minimal but tasteful and the dining room area was nice and clean. There is a small patio with chairs outside and a TV playing football. There was someone making food and another person serving food and out food cane out pretty quickly. There seems to be a lot of takeout while we we there. Decided to get the hummus and a falafel sandwich and chicken Schwarma sandwich. The Laffa bread is nice and thin, unlike regular pita bread. It's easy to eat and tastes great with hummus. The sandwich is made with the same laffa roll and it was light and easy to eat. The falafel was crispy and tasty and the tahini was flavorful. We were the only people in the restaurant and would probably come back for some take out! Want to try the lentil soup next time! My entree I got the chicken kebobs they were white meat and I added an extra for $6 to share with my daughter. It was a good deal it cake with rice and 2 sides. This is the best Lebanese in Dallas. Their tabouleh is the best, made to perfection just like my moms. Lots of parsley, onions, tomatoes, and light on the bulgar if any. Their kabobs are pristine and quality, grilled to perfection. The portions are huge. There is literally nothing you can order that is not delicious. If you are an American and eat a lot of fast food, do yourself a favor and transition to only eating this cuisine. It's all you need in your life, and your energy will improve greatly. If only food like this was more available at affordable prices like here. The staff is wonderful and I can't say enough wonderful things about them.
