Such a wonderful Persian restaurant in Dallas. The food truly tastes homemade and everything is full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and very welcoming. Samad Khan is incredibly kind and full of positive energy, and you can really feel the care and love he puts into the place. Every time we come here we truly enjoy it. We had the Gheymeh Bademjan and the Kebab Combo, both were absolutely delicious. The chicken kebabs were excellent, and the eggplant in the stew was amazing. I went to this Halal restaurant for the first time after suddenly seeing them on the news and social media. Unfortunately, I didn't like the taste, it was nothing special and was just okay. I ordered their most popular item which is Baghaleh Polo ba Mahicheh (Lima Bean & Dill rice and Lamb Shank). Lamb shank was tendered and easy to eat but had no taste. Tasted like I was just eating a boiled meat. Rice was also nothing special. I have ate Persian food at other places and just the taste of rice is always to die for. Unfortunately, I didn't taste the same here and it was just a simple boiled rice with bean and dill. Customer service was great and had no issues with it. Restaurant is old, aged, and very run down. They don't even have proper restaurant menu and have bunch of random old photos on loose papers and some on the wall. It doesn't look owner (old) has any intentions to renovate/update. It was also very hard to locate from outside as there is a very small hidden restaurant sign and you will easily miss it if going for the first time. Very limited free parking next door. From outside restaurant looks like it is inside a house with overgrown front yard with weed and others. I guess owner is just happy with as-is setup and income :) Not sure if I will go again or not, but you can definitely try your luck with other food items. read more

This is the kind of cooking that warms your stomach as well as your soul. I'm talking about food that makes an emotional connection. I was ecstatic when I had time to stop in for lunch while on a business trip. It is tucked away and at first I thought I had driven past the restaurant. Such a humble little spot that boasts tremendous flavor in the food. There were pictures of the daily specials set up on one table so you can easily read the description. I had the pleasure of being the last customer of the day and he treated me like royalty. I didn't even look at the menu. I simply asked for him to serve me what he thought I would like as I love Persian food. My only request was a side of tahdig. The lamb shank was sublime, and I felt as if I was transported back to my aunt's kitchen and eating her cooking once again. The meat literally fell off the bone. It was full of flavor. I added the rice to the broth and I sat in silence and savored every single bite as it was so delicious. Samad is such a wonderful person. We talked about his restaurant and coming to America. Went here to check what the fuss is all about coz it has 5 stars on Google review. This is a local Persian and Mediterranean restaurant located just a few minutes from Dallas Love Field. The Persian food was really good and prepared personally by Samad himself, a Persian native in a little shack that brings about a homegrown experience. His wife helps her serve and in the kitchen and so does his son. Samad came to our table and talked to us how he started and how every dish is prepared; how he picks quality ingredients for his dishes. They only have lunch served because he said serving dinner will be overwhelming for him, his wife and son. Food is authentic Persian. Tik Tok made me do it! Since seeing the viral video, I've been wanting to try this place. We came on a Saturday around lunch time. The restaurant is tiny and parking is the lot next door. Keep an eye out so you don't miss it. When we walked in, we sat ourselves. It's a small restaurant. The server came and explained to us their menu. He was so friendly and answered any questions we had. They don't have a huge menu, but a good enough variety to pick from. Wife got the sowed cooked spinach and lamb. I can't remember the name I got the lamb shank (Tik Tok special) Both dishes came with rice. They also include some bread (similar to tortilla), onion, and lime to complement the dish. Everything was so good! Meat were tender. My favorite rice was the one with raisin, it provided a sweet taste to complement the savory rice. Definitely go try this little gem out. Since then, I've had the pleasure of enjoying many meals there and yes, the food is divinely delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is Samad himself. He's not just a great chef, he's an incredible human being with a heart of gold. I'll never forget the day he offered to cover our meal because he heard that the person I was with couldn't pay.
