Samad Café feels like eating at your Persian grandmother's house. Real authentic homemade food full of flavor and soul. Amazing lamb, shack, perfect rice, warm hospitality, and unforgettable nostalgic vibes. One of the best Persian food spots in Texas.

Went here to check what the fuss is all about coz it has 5 stars on Google review. This is a local Persian and Mediterranean restaurant located just a few minutes from Dallas Love Field. The Persian food was really good and prepared personally by Samad himself, a Persian native in a little shack that brings about a homegrown experience. His wife helps her serve and in the kitchen and so does his son. Samad came to our table and talked to us how he started and how every dish is prepared; how he picks quality ingredients for his dishes. They only have lunch served because he said serving dinner will be overwhelming for him, his wife and son. Food is authentic Persian. We ordered the beef koobideh, chicken kabob and the well seasoned leg quarter that falls off the bone. I can see why this is getting the attention ---because of the owner's personal connection with the customers

The lamb shank and rice was really delicious! It was a very good meal in a very quiet out of the way environment. It's always wonderful to try something new from a family cafe! I had never had Persian food before, but I like it a lot now

Came here over the weekend and had their lamb shank and ghorma sabzi, both were incredibly delicious. The soup touched my soul and the lamb shank was perfect for a sunny spring day. The rice was also very well seasoned I really like rice that isn't plain. We enjoyed the cozy feel and the kind hearted helpful staff. The meat is locally/more ethically sourced and you can taste the quality in their food. They do take card btw!

Tik Tok made me do it! Since seeing the viral video, I've been wanting to try this place. We came on a Saturday around lunch time. The restaurant is tiny and parking is the lot next door. Keep an eye out so you don't miss it. When we walked in, we sat ourselves. It's a small restaurant. The server came and explained to us their menu. He was so friendly and answered any questions we had. They don't have a huge menu, but a good enough variety to pick from. Wife got the sowed cooked spinach and lamb. I can't remember the name I got the lamb shank (Tik Tok special) Both dishes came with rice. They also include some bread (similar to tortilla), onion, and lime to complement the dish. Everything was so good! Meat were tender. My favorite rice was the one with raisin, it provided a sweet taste to complement the savory rice. Definitely go try this little gem out. Do not skip it!

Entrance, to an amazing food experience!

This food is delicious! I enjoy Greek food and decided to try Persian. I was not disappointed! Samad, the owner, was the best host! It was like he prepared and served us an authentic home cooked meal! Great experience!

I love love love this place, Mr Samad, amazing human being that makes the best authentic Persian food I have had in a long long time besides my mom's cooking. Homey atmosphere, excellent service, excellent gheyme khoresht, amazing koobideh kebob, fantastic mast-o- khiar and salad shirazi.ade me feel like HOME and that is not what you will ever get from 5 star restaurant. This man deserves his own Michelin star. Thank you Mr Samad for everything, you truly are a Persian Gentleman

I ordered the Chicken TAwook plate with fries and tabouleh. It was divine. I love that it came with garlic sauce. That's actually why I ordered it. I was impressed with how my fries remained crispy even though they didn't make any steam holes. The tabouleh was so fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked. The star of my plate was of course the chicken; there was a lot of it. Large chunks that were perfectly grilled and they weren't dry. My husband ordered the Kafka Beef Plate with tabouleh and hummus. I hate that I had to remove a star but he said his hummus was "runny and watery". I was having too much fun with my food to investigate, but I'm going to take his word for it. I'm picky with hummus so I don't normally order it from random places. He'll learn someday. He also didn't like a spice that was in the Kafta. It was probably nutmeg or cumin or a combination of both. I also have learned my lesson with Mediterranean cuisine that I'm unfamiliar with. I don't like cinnamon or those pumpkin pie variety of spices in my meat so I never order anything that's beef or lamb. In their defense, I bet the meat was delicious if you like those spices. I wish they had included ketchup for my fries. I'd order from here again.

Every single dish was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. The chicken and veggies were seasoned with just enough spices where it had a slight kick, but not overpowering at all. Speaking of hummus, the Izmir hummus was silky smooth and incredible. I've had a lot of restaurant hummus and this one was MILES in ahead of them. It also paired beautifully with all of the other items. A flawless base. I cannot wait to come back here! Marcelo was an amazing waiter and even gave us recommendations for next time.

Sometimes, especially with Mediterranean restaurants, it's hard for me to judge how good a place is…read morebased on the menu alone. For example, I can generally tell a good Chinese place from a mediocre one based on certain dishes that's being offered or what the place is calling it, same with Mexican. Is it failproof? Absolutely not. But it gives me an idea of what we're working with. However, "Mediterranean" I feel like is such a broad term and maybe because DFW doesn't have a ton of Persian options, the restaurants tend to offer more mainstream menu items, like kabobs and gyros. And let's face it, we've all had dried kabobs and subpar gyro. As my colleague and I sat down and stared at the small (and honestly a bit pricey) menu, I was almost regretful for choosing the restaurant. However, we stayed because this place had such high ratings on both Google and Yelp. And in reviews we trust! I stared at the chicken kabob option and ended up ordering it. Would I have liked a little something more than just chicken and rice and a blackened tomato for the price? Yes. But was it one of the best chicken and rice and blackened tomato I've had in a Mediterranean restaurant? Also yes. The rice had flavor, the chicken was moist and the tomato was chef's kiss. I stole a couple of french fries from my colleagues plate and she assured me that her gyro was also great. The simpleness of the dish plus the perfect execution was enough to convince me of returning soon.

The sandwiches (Bandari sausage and Little Persia special) were on the menu, but it was discontinued, and since the menu is paper and easily updatable, I don't understand why that wasn't reflected not physical nor online menu. They also didn't serve fresh basil this time, which was a letdown, and they charged for extra pita bread, something I wasn't expecting. The kashk-e bademjan and sikanjabin drink were good, though I hoped the drink was colder. I hope they stay consistent with their menu and extras.
