I ordered the Chicken TAwook plate with fries and tabouleh. It was divine. I love that it came with garlic sauce. That's actually why I ordered it. I was impressed with how my fries remained crispy even though they didn't make any steam holes. The tabouleh was so fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked. The star of my plate was of course the chicken; there was a lot of it. Large chunks that were perfectly grilled and they weren't dry. My husband ordered the Kafka Beef Plate with tabouleh and hummus. I hate that I had to remove a star but he said his hummus was "runny and watery". I was having too much fun with my food to investigate, but I'm going to take his word for it. I'm picky with hummus so I don't normally order it from random places. He'll learn someday. He also didn't like a spice that was in the Kafta. It was probably nutmeg or cumin or a combination of both. I also have learned my lesson with Mediterranean cuisine that I'm unfamiliar with. I don't like cinnamon or those pumpkin pie variety of spices in my meat so I never order anything that's beef or lamb. In their defense, I bet the meat was delicious if you like those spices. I wish they had included ketchup for my fries. I'd order from here again.

Located in West Village, the place has a super chill, relaxing vibe. We started with a peach mango hookah, and then asked our waiter for his food recommendations. He mentioned the chicken skewers were the #1 favorite, so I went with those, while my friend got the apricot wings with the sauce on the side. The food came out surprisingly fast--about 10 to 15 minutes! The chicken was incredible: tender, flavorful, topped with a delicious green sauce, and served with a spicy tzatziki over a bed of yellow rice and squash. Easily a 10/10--our waiter did not steer me wrong. My friend's wings were also cooked to perfection, and the apricot sauce was great. Service was wonderful throughout the night. Our waiter consistently checked in on us, kept our water filled, and was genuine and kind (I wish I caught his name!). Why 4 stars instead of 5: An 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. While the service tonight absolutely deserved every bit of it (and more!), I prefer having full control over determining the tip based on my experience.

It was nice to cleanse the pate before our meal. We ordered the Hummus and Baba Ganoush. Both were tasty but not extraordinary. We ordered the Chicken Soltani. Both my colleague and I decided that this was some of the best Koobideh and Chicken Kebab we had had in a while. The rice was cooked to perfection and I am always a big fan of Grilled Tomatoes. We thought the food was so tasty that we both decided we would be back again.
