Fun to browse and I love checking out their household items and kitchen gadgets. A lot more varieties than the usual dollar store. $2 or more and much more. Price check with cashier before paying as there is no refund or exchange. Ended up buying 10 items or so. Quite a few Made in Japan items but not all.

This is my first time at a big-box Japanese discount store. It has so many little things. I would say it is better than Dollarama but prices are also more expensive. Aisles are clean. There are very interesting items. For example, sticky notes come in many different shapes and themes. There are little plastic clear cubes where you can display little items. There are colourful 4 inch tall tripods (actually it has 5 legs) for ... I don't know what. They make announcements in English and Japanese. There are two gender-neutral washrooms.

My sweetie and I decided to venture out today to a Japanese version of dollarama. Excitement filled the air upon entering Oomomo for the first time! Before I realized, someone had already grabbed a shopping cart and was well on her way bargain hunting. Anything you can think of as gadget, you're likely to find it here. Many products sourced from Japan or China were in the $2-$3 range which was so disarming as a shopper. Low and behold at checkout time, it wasn't surprising to exceed $50 even though I though we were just browsing. Something tells me that my sweetie just found another Fav store. Happy wife, happy life!

I came here with a friend after having lunch in the area, and wasn't sure what to expect. I heard it was a high-end dollar store ... Even though the parking lot is large, it can get very busy. This store is ginormous. I didn't know where to begin. Most of their products are imported from Japan, with a lot of them from the well-known brand, Daiso. You can easily spend over one hour, if not more in here. We were going through each aisle, and it felt like we were watching a tennis match ... left, right, left, right. My head started to spin! There are all kinds of beauty products, beauty tools, towels, scarves, gloves, kitchen and housewares, containers galore, art/office/school supplies, Japanese snacks, etc. I noticed they had matcha green tea powder, but not sure of the quality. There were entire aisles dedicated to facial masks and eyelashes! After going through the entire right side of the store, time was passing by so I upped my game. I gave the rest of the store a quick once over, picked up a few items and checked out. If there is no sticker on a product, the price is $2.00. Some items are costly, such as the snacks aisle, and you can find it for a lower price elsewhere. I came back a second time with my husband, and had more time to look at the entire store. He was quite impressed and liked the packaging and presentation of everything. I was surprised they did not have a larger stock of Washi tape, given that it is a Japanese product (a.k.a. masking tape). A few of the staff members did not know what it was. I managed to find one roll of it when I checked the aisles a third time! The Markham location (First Markham Place) will be a lot closer. An employee said it would be open in June ...

Highly reccomend if you love going to nice quality japanese store that holds a variety of products from kitchen-beauty! I went to this place for the first time, i believe it was 2019 on my birthday. Let me tell you, the place is hugeeee! I love this location since i walked in. The recent experience i came to Oomomo was for my birthday of last year, 2020 during the pandemic. They were open with limited amount of people to shop inside and less hours. I fell in love with their beauty section and it was cheaper than most places i get products for. Their face masks and fake lashes are heavenly made! I get a bunch while i'm there since it's very affordable and i don't run out. My parents love their kitchen-dining products so we buy them as well. My sister loves their snack-food area. When we went to the cashier, we were greeted by a fellow filipino which was surprising! He said happy birthday to me while checking out our stuff to go haha! Nothing but appreciation for this place, i wish they can open one in mississauga (cries)! Again try this location when you

Ohmygoshhhhh my wish come trueeeee. Finally! Someone brought Daiso and Seria over! ^^ I've frequented Japan's ¥100 varsity stores quite a bit in recent years, so I've become very familiar with their inventory. Oomomo stocks most of the exact items you would find there. All non-labeled items go for $2 unless priced otherwise. Why this store will strive is because they sell practicality. You wonder why the Japanese are so creative and innovative, it's b/c they have shops like these that enable them; they're blessed with variety, quality, and most of all, affordability. Now rather than rave about my ingenious finds from overseas, my friends can see for themselves the awesome inventions of the Japanese! In a way, I'm sad b/c it lowers the uniqueness of my Tokyo ¥100 store hauls, but on the other hand I'm glad b/c I can buy them locally now. Practical items, just to name a few... - Kitchen: glassware, cooking ware, cleaning, bento goods, garnish, cute liquid bottles, wall decoration, shelf liners - tons of designs to choose from - Art: woodworking, scrapbooking, gardening, baking, painting, sewing, journaling, stationary, literature, paperwork, origami - Storage: tons of boxes in various sizes - Bathroom: smart organization, hangers & hooks, various towel designs, first aid, health & beauty products - Electronics: screen protectors ($2!), phone cases, CD/DVD needs, basic cables, audio, tools I don't want to go into too much detail b/c really you gotta see and discover for yourself the practicality of these items. When I was in Japan, part of the enjoyment was looking at diagrams (no English!) and figuring out the purpose of each item, then reaching that "OH!" moment, followed by a "I can't believe someone actually invented this but it's about time b/c it's ingenious and where was this last week when I actually needed something like this??" ...or something like that xD (an example of this in my pic caption) Go check it out! Uptown people: not to worry! There's one due to open at FMP soon, yay!

Lots of disposable food storage bags. Unfortunately they didn't have the silicone reusable kind.

A fun place to browse. It has nearly every household and lifestyle item you can think of from food storage, to household cleaning equipment to socks and stationary to bowls and pots...and snacks too. And much much more! Reasonably priced. Fun for an afternoon-browse even if you don't plan to buy... but you might pick up and item or two you didn't know you wanted!

I love Daiso (a 100 yen store) and I go whenever I'm in Vancouver and San Fran. It's more of a Toonie store than a dollar store, but now a days it's closer to a 5 buck store. Oomomo is definitely nicer than the Daiso in San Fran, but not quite the aberdeen location in Vancouver. But I'll take it! And a bonus that it's close to me. There's also a Seria store down at thornecliff plaza not too far, but that location is tiny. Grand opening day was nuts here and I bailed, so I'll have to go back when it's a little less busy.

This just opened on December 8th, 2018 on the west side of Don Mills Rd. just north of Wynford Dr. in North York. The store is the size of a BEST BUY store with a lot of Japanese 'dollar store' items, specializing in the DAISO brand straight from Japan. You'll find anything from kitchen usage, to garden usage, to exclusive imported Japanese snacks and drinks with brands such as CALBEE or MITSUYA. The store is very clean with their employees either constantly stocking the shelves or keeping them in tidy order. With fairly priced items, this place is certainly worth the visit!

Oomomo (which I will nickname as Momo) recently opened in Toronto and is situated within a plaza very close from Shops at Don Mills. If you've heard of Daiso, a 100 yen store in Japan, then this store is super similar in concept. Everything sold within Momo is budget-friendly. Majority of items and which does not have a price tag, is $2. Otherwise it'll be labelled generally at the back of packaging. Momo store space is HUGE! Comparatively, I think it's as big as the Eaton Center Best Buy location. They divide their store into several sections including: makeup and cosmetic items (right hand side when from the entrance), bowls/plates and cups (middle section from entrance), kitchen utensils, laundry and bathroom items, TONS of bins and baskets, stationary, art supplies, and snacks (left most side from entrance). Caution for customers: Having visit Momo for the first time and it being so new in Toronto, I would suggest carving at least 2-3 hours of your day. I went during the weekend. The lineup to get in Momo took about 10 minutes, but after all the exciting shopping and browsing, the wait to cash out purchases actually took us 50 minutes! We started from the far left corner of Momo and weaved around to arrive at the cashiers. I think it's more so the hype and cheap/cute goods they sell. If you can, definitely go on a week day instead. I definitely enjoyed my visit. Although I spent quite a bit of time overall, everything was fascinating (for a girl like myself). I was little disappointed as their snack section was looted out and most items were all sold, not restocked. Nevertheless, I bought myself a lot of baking and cooking utensils which I should put to good use during this holiday! :) Their cashier service was good and fairly quick. The lady who cashed me out was Japanese and explained how the $2 pricing was similar to Daiso but just includes the shipping costs to compensate.

It's like the Japanese version of One's. Or P-Mall's Dollar store in their basement near the underground parking/washrooms. Some of the prices were a bit out there, but most of the items had some appeal to them - lots of celebration decoration that isn't your standard banner from Dollarama, interesting diy jewelry tidbits, a snack aisle, bin storage, cleaning/household products, and the list goes on. This place still has quite a bit of hype surrounding it, considering the longer line up upon entering this past week, but it eventually died down after 20 mins. For the most part, the employees keep to themselves, no one's asking if you need help, expect long line ups and that each aisle is not an easy skim - you're thoroughly investigating every knick-knack - things you thought you didn't need, and now suddenly do lol. But definitely check it out - there's lots to see.

I guess I benefited from "Corona Effect 1" which was the brief period of people avoiding crowded places before "Corona Effect 2" HoardFest kicked in. This was once my go-to Walmart, but I hadn't actually made a purchase here in 6 years (since the last time they went 24hrs during the Xmas season) because of obscene lineups & waiting times. I expected to just look around for whats on sale, then buy it at another location as usual. Turned out there was hardly anyone here so I bought Valvoline MaxLife engine oil for my Mom's car on sale for $19 / 5L and some washer fluid. That was a happy surprise. This location was reorganized and cleaned up about a year ago without the major renovation upheaval experienced in locations at Richmond Hill or Agincourt Mall. There are definite benefits more tidy, well lit displays and more walkable aisles while all sections remain in familiar locations. The trade off is you're less likely to score those occasional "finds" from rummaging through a mess to unearth a long discontinued item with an absurd markdown. This was probably a lucky one-off, I'm not a big Walmart fan anyway but when I do use it I will probably keep preferring the Richmond Hill & Woodbridge locations, but it was a cool experience anyway
