The busier stores always have good service and good staff. The mall staff themselves are great. Guest services is among the most helpful in the GTA. What needs improvement in this mall is it needs proper expansion and removal of outdated stores (when the lease expires of course). There is no distinction in the direction of what the mall is selling as a category. On the weekends it gets crowded with all sorts of demographics shopping. The security staff seem swarmed. And parking is a game of survival! I expect it to improve once a proper tenant or use has been found for the now vacant Hudson Bay and the surrounding area. Right now I recommend most to visit on the weekdays, unless bumper cars in the parking lot is a ideal.

Fairview Mall has gone through an evolution and reimagination of the retail space. I love how they redeveloped the space where Sears used to be. The space is now converted into a mini Chinatown spot with Saint Germain bakery, bubble tea shop, Hong Kong style cafe, Thai restaurant, and a T&T Supermarket. On the top floor there's a Marshalls / Homesense big box store. I noticed the Zara store has been renovated and now occupying 2 levels. The store looks immaculate and love the modern layout and self serve checkout kiosks to make shopping faster for DIY people. I managed to do some shopping at H&M and got some great deals in the sale section. I also bought some groceries like green beans, lychee, bbq pork buns, and curry beef pastries. It's not very often you can go to regional mall and be able to buy clothes, groceries, and bakery goods. It was a pleasant experience. I look forward to the transformation of the vacant Hudson Bay space. Oh did I mention they have a Playdium arcade in the old Sportchek space beside the Cineplex theatre.

WARNING‼ TO ALL STUDENTS ‼AND THE COMMUNITY‼: AVOID THIS STORE‼ PREDATORY SCAMMERS OF STUDENTS --…read moreREFUND THIS MONEY IMMEDIATELY! : To address the owner's false reply of today june 25 , 2026, : Your claims are absolute lies. Both the suit and the shoes are in flawless, perfect condition, with all original tags fully attached. They were tried on exactly once for sizing purposes inside our home and returned within 48 hours. On june 24 2026 was returned , Every statement you make is a complete fabrication invented purely to rob ‼a student of his money. Trying on an item for size does not give you the right to steal $688.17 through false accusations. When we tried to resolve this in-store, we were met with shocking and aggressive behavior. They refused to provide a refund and used physical intimidation to scare us--specifically by aggressively pointing a finger directly in our eyes while talking to us, creating an atmosphere where we felt threatened, ‼as if they would resort to physical violence ‼if we didn't back down. My son specifically asked about your return policy before the purchase, and your staff explicitly lied, promising 30 days. We have the receipt showing a 7-day policy, which you are now using to trap a student--despite him returning the items in just 48 hours in perfect condition. Response to the owner's false claims: Your claim that the suit is 'soiled or scuffed' is a pure fabrication. The suit was tried on only once for sizing, and the tags remain attached. You are making false accusations just to steal $688.17 from a student. To all potential customers: This store is a trap for students. They use verbal lies to induce sales and then refuse refunds through false claims of 'damage.' These people are professional scammers who target young students and rely on intimidation to keep your money. Final Notice: Your intimidation tactics will not work. We are filing a formal complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario regarding your deceptive sales practices and your aggressive, abusive behavior. We will continue to share the truth about your scam until you are held accountable. Do not think you can bully students and walk away with their money! Do not buy from this store! They are liars, cheaters, and predators who target young students shopping alone without their parents. They pressured my student son into buying an expensive suit package by looking him in the eye and lying to his face, telling him he had 30 days to return it. When we looked at the receipt, it actually says 7 days. Because we knew they were lying, my son brought the suit back in perfect condition in only 2 days--well within the 7 days. The suit was tried on exactly once for size. The paper tags, price codes, and plastic are still fully attached and untouched. Trying on a suit does not give this store permission to rob a student! The staff fabricated a disgusting lie, claiming the suit was "used" just to steal his $688.17 and refuse the refund. They are playing games and cheating customers from the very beginning. REFUND THE MONEY TODAY. We are not playing your games anymore. We are officially filing a major fraud report with Consumer Protection Ontario for scamming a student and breaking your own written contract. Stop robbing students!

Located on the upper level where the old Sears used to be this Marshalls and HomeSense is huge!…read moreThere's plenty of space between displays and a lot more dining tables than I'm used to seeing at other HomeSense stores. It's too much to list every single product that they have but some of them include seasonal decorations (Halloween items are displayed throughout from plates, mugs, and pumpkins to skeletons), art supplies (markers, paints, pencils, tie dye kit), stationary, desks, desk chairs, couches, rugs, bedding, lighting (such as lamps), photo frames, large trash bins, candles of all sizes and scents, fake plants and flowers, flower pots, powdered peanut butter, tea mixes with mugs, more sustainable and reusable products (set of eating utensils to use instead of single-use plastic ones, metal and silicone straws, silicone freezer bags, silicone sandwich bags, vegan wax cubes for extending the life of vegan wax food wraps), all the regular snacks, pots and pans and even Chinese sausage (lap cheong!). I never thought I'd see that at HomeSense. On the Marshalls side there's plenty of backpacks for back-to-school, a lot of footwear and it's too bad that I didn't find any clothing that I liked this time but I'll be back for sure and maybe next time I'll find something. I did see a purple Raptors sweatshirt and was on the lookout for other apparel and jerseys but didn't see any. There were many cashiers on at the time so waiting in line wasn't too bad and all the products lining the shelves definitely kept us from being bored.
