I know it's just dollarama but this place is amazing! They carry way more things and it's a big location. This may be my go to dollarama.

For all members of the family and different temperatures in the winter season, excellent option for all people who like this.

I went here to take advantage of the $50 voucher deal. I…read moresaw many staff just walking around and not doing much. Some were just chit chatting with each other. My main goal is to try on blundstones boots, the shoe area on the first floor has so many customers. I think there were only 2 staffs working that section. It took me awhile to flag someone down to get my size to try. I waited for like 20 minutes and when they came out they headed to another customer instead. They continued to walk around other side until I flagged them down. It's as if they forgot I asked them for help. They basically told me that they couldn't find the boot in stock. I checked online and they have one available (I also double checked with the cashier at the entrance) . I am fine with getting just the display model, however they can't even find the other shoe. The one that's on display now doesn't even have a price tag on it. I was frustrated, so I asked another staff member and he took his time as well. He said he couldn't find the box. I just gave up, and got something else using the vouchers. If you want to shop for shoes or boots, I don't recommend sporting life. There's not enough staff to customers. There's other places in the mall to look for shoes than here.

While I regularly frequent my local Costco at home in the States, every few visits to Toronto, I…read morefind myself stopping by Costco for one reason or another. This particular Costco is nicer than others with off and on long lines depending on the day and time. I always enjoy walking around, thinking of what my family can use and what we can get as gifts for others, and trying the samples (well, that's more or less me). My wife has used almost all of the different services and departments before. It's clear that there's something for everyone in Costco. This Costco in North York is my family's regular Costco to shop at. On one side of my family, I have memories of my grandfather stopping by for a hot dog and a drink and using an electric wheelchair through the store (and avoiding running people over). On the other side of my family, they make regular outings to get produce, meat, and any treats for the next week. On my last visit to Costco, my sister and I ran in for a few minutes to pick up some Canadian essentials to bring back as gifts to friends back at home. Once you are a member of Costco, you can purchase gas at the Costco Gasoline locations. There are then plenty of items including groceries that you can purchase often in bulk. The website now also includes a "treasure hunt" which is simply a rotating selection of items marked down or priced at extra value for a limited time. There is also a food court with very reasonably priced items including the long-time favorite of a jumbo hot dog and drink for only $1.50, which my grandfather and I used to love to get together. There is also travel, photos, pharmacy, optical, and more. Plus, you can get some tasty samples and even buy discounted gift cards. So joining Costco is about a lot more than just the gas, though that's certainly an attractive and added bonus to being a member! You can see the Costco website for this location at https://www.costco.com/w/-/on/north-york/535. Services include the gas station, food court, pharmacy, tire service center, optical department, and hearing aids. Other departments in the store including the auto buying program, bakery, fresh deli, fresh meat, fresh produce, membership, and T-Mobile cellular kiosk. Their Gold Star hours are weekdays from 10 AM to 8:30 PM, Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 7 PM. These are the same hours for Business Members, and Executive Members can show up for an hour earlier on weekdays and Sundays and 30 minutes early on Saturdays. While we stopped by briefly this time, we look forward to doing some more shopping there on a future visit.

Had my first Canadian poutine here. Very tasty, and an incredible great value (turns out to be…read more$4.99 USD and could easily feed two big backs). Employees were nice enough. Canadian Costco is just as chaotic as it is in the states. In the states, Costco is notorious for only accepting Visa. It was a little getting used to for Canadian Costco to be the same except instead of Visa, it's Mastercard. There were some pretty bad French red wine here. Timberlay Bordeaux is one of the worst things I've ever tried. It made me think of Oberyn Martell's quote about King's Landing's wine being the equivalent of swill. You could probably get a better wine just aging Welch's grape juice, honestly. It's bizarre to me still you can't buy alcohol freely in Ontario without having to defer to the LCBO. Feels too restrictive for no good reason.

Very disappointed in this store. I wanted to try on an item…read morethat they didn't have in stores, so the sales associate offered to help me order it instead. She used her own phone to help me order it online, and just asked me for my address/ card info etc. She said if I'm not happy with it, I can come back within 21 days to return it and they'll refund me. So I go back 2 weeks later and then I'm told that DUTIES/TAXES aren't refundable. The sales associate who helped me order it NEVER told me this, and since I ordered it in store I thought it'd be different from an online order where duties would be charged. Furthermore, in my order receipt the duties/ taxes are just labeled as "taxes" so I thought it was just sales tax which would always be refundable along with the price of the item. So now I feel randomly scammed of $50 because I was never told that duties and taxes aren't refundable. When I told them I was never told this when I ordered it, they admitted it was their fault, that their employees also didn't know that duties/ taxes for in store orders wouldn't be refundable (bc this is their first store in Canada etc) but still would not refund me the taxes/duties despite admitting it was their fault. So I'm fairly disappointed with the service here, especially since their items aren't cheap, so I'd expect better service that reflects their high price points.
