Value Village here is known as Savers in the U.S. They are a for-profit organization so their prices are higher than other thrift stores but you can find many more designer items here. If you're patient and persistent, you can even find new items with tags on them. This is one of the larger VVs around which means larger selection of items as well (they have a large curtain section). At least once a month they have a big 50% off sale. If you are a Super Savers Club member, you can go the day before a sale and get the discount (go early because it gets pretty crowded later on in the day) Haven't run into any problems with the staff but I haven't needed to bother them for anything either. read more

I complete adore this store, as a food blogger i need a lot of props for my insta handle. I get very authentic, vintage props and utensils at cheaper price. I still feel for few products their price is quite high compared to dollar store. You need ample amount of time to visit the store and bag what you need. If you have specific thing in mind you might get lucky. Choose wisely. I wont suggest to buy towels or clothes from here . Go for glassware, mirror, bar accessories, metal utensils, vintage plates, baskets, decoration pieces. I was able to find two pairs of shoes which I have a hard time finding shoes at other locations, the clothes weren't worth the visit .nothing stylish for the trendy people and for just simple items the prices and conditions of the items were questionable, not my favourite location. staff is friendly and they have washrooms which is a plus. read more

This place is a goldmine. If this location were at all closer to downtown, it would probably be just as fruitless as the others have been of late, but I left with so many compliment-worthy goodies I can't wait to go back. I'm talking about excellent condition vintage clutches, crinkled silk dresses, flowing patterned button-up blouses, as well as a few amazing vintage design books and Fargo, all for naught but a few bucks each! I entered, and exited, this store at the same time as a couple of fashionistique lads who also appeared to have scored. As we were complimenting each other on our finds, one of them sighed, "Yes, I'm going to Italy. This is going to be my travelling outfit." Conversation fit for Yorkville, I tell ya'. As a bonus, the staff working there are all extremely friendly and sunny - it's great seeing co-workers laughing together on the job. Another tip, 20% off for students on Wednesdays. Wait a minute... perhaps I should have given this place 1 star instead to keep this treasure all to myself, but I couldn't do that. Love this Value Village Location!. Its really huge once you get in they have a huge selection for everything, what i found the most helpful was this past Halloween when they had everything for Halloween. I spent less that 20$ for two costumes which was great when i wasnt too keen on spending too much for one night. Yes, I did find a treasure. However, I found this particular location very disorganised. Location is quite large and ladies' blends into the men's department, sections are broken up, re: continues on the other side for 1-2 racks, but becomes another section, and it was quite messy! Purses were right in front of the windows and this is probably the worst section to put where everyone can see them. I was checked out by a manager on duty and she was quite rude to me saying something like, "Don't you know??!!". Maybe she was being a straight-shooter, but absolutely unnecessary. Rest of staff appeared overworked. Pricing is all over the place. I'm guessing that this location is a bit mismanaged! read more

First time going to this location and it was one of the bigger VV's I've been to, so I was pleasantly surprised. I only gave myself 45 min to walk around which wasn't enough to really see much more then the home section and a rack or two of clothing (maybe I'm a slow browser).... but I did find think the pricing was higher then I've seen at other locations. Nevertheless I did think it was fairly organized (I went first thing in the morning so that might affect people's opinion of organization as the day goes on and people pick and move things around) Not sure if this one is a top location yet...but will visit again. read more

The store is fine, nothing special but I did receive some very poor and unwelcoming service from the workers today despite my greatest efforts to act politely and keep a smile on my face. I did not feel the same hospitality from the workers. At the cash I asked to have a pair of leggings reduced in price because they had 2 huge rips in the hips and at first the cashier tried to play it off as if that was the style of the leggings yet there were threads hanging out of the pants and the holes were different on each side of the hip. I pointed that out to her and she seem to just make a judgement call on whether or not I got my damaged product for sale and she rudely snapped "these come at ticketed price" and scanned them without even asking me if I still wanted them. I worked in customer service for three years and know that customers should be treated better than this. Looking for some improvement :) read more

This has been my favourite location ever since I found a used coach purse hidden amongst the treasures. Other than that, I enjoy perusing through the vast collection of used books. Paperbacks galore! Hands down, one of the best locations. And little dog friendly. read more

I completely agree with some of the other reviewers here. The customer service at this location is incredibly horrendous. I've only been here a few times and every single time I experienced poor quality service. I cant think of any other retailer that is consistently crappy. Who the hell does the hiring at this location anyways? They should be quickly fired for the bottom of the barrel staff they bring in. Also you know what? They're not exactly inexpensive either. I really hate the idea that this organization profits immensely off the generous donations made by people. Somethings just really, really slimy about that! It turns something good natured into something that's not .Savers its parent company had a revenue of over $2 billion dollars in 2017.Im not sure how this organization can possibly be considered a non-profit organization. Probably the best Value Village I have ever been to! They have a rainbow wall of scarfs and a well organized section of purses (colour coordinated) that makes you feel like you're at Winners. Once I stated my admiration for their hard work to a worker, they mentioned they love to organize on their spare time. This location is said to be the #1 for their district. I could agree with this. I also came here during Value Village's large 50% off everything sale and they did a great job in managing the large crowd, they made a closed off cue line, just like in Walmart. This place really makes the shopping experience wonderful. I hope Value Village can acknowledge this location and try to duplicate this to the rest of their stores. I will be back soon :) read more

This VV is great, there are actually less 'ugly' items than other VV's I've been to (Hwy 7/Weston and Steeles/Dufferin location). Prices are excellent compared to other thrift shops I've been to downtown (69 Vintage Collective, VV on Bloor/Lansdowne, Vintage Depot) but after reading some reviews it seems like VV have really increased their prices over the past few years as more and more cool kids are starting to shop here. The store is well-organized according to type of clothing and size. Seriously, who organizes by COLOR, like other stores I've seen... My last trip, I picked up a J. Crew classic fit dress shirt and a cute grandpa-looking cardigan for about 7-8$ each. I nearly shrieked in excitement when I found the J. Crew shirt. Dramatic, much? read more

As far as thrift stores go, this one's a-ok. It's clean and well laid out and people aren't constantly bull charging you with shopping carts in the race to be the first to grab a new $2 knickknack. My only knock against this place is that today when I went, they opened a new cashier due to long lines, and one of the cashiers made it her mission to make sure that the guy in front of me got to go through the new cash before I did. I get it lady--I'm willing to wait; no need to cross three lines of thrift traffic to make sure I don't buy my $1 book before the other guy buys his $2 jeans. read more

Went to this location today. I found it to be so-so. Don't get me wrong, I found some REALLY good deals e.g. $9 for Banana Republic dress pants and $15 for 4 Reidel wine glasses! These were really great scores. HOWEVER, the prices for things in general (shoes, clothing, jewellery) is actually fairly high compared to other thrift stores e.g. Salvation Army or Talize. Both these other ones are cheaper with similar general merchandise. I got two blouses for about $13 each - these were pretty steeply priced but I liked them enough to get them... grudgingly. At Talize, a full dress would be about $12. I saw some Forever21 tops selling for $14! I guess it just means you should be picky and decide if what you're looking at is really worth the price! read more

Went last evening with my neice for some tHrift resS HORRENDOUS!!!!! Who's pricing these items???? $25 for a medium size old and scratched up pot. $20 for a brown Pyrex glass pot with no cover. This is supposed to be affordable for people on low income. We could go to Wal-Mart and get pots much cheaper.Which we did!!! Please dont compare prices with brand new stuff from department stores, because you are getting for free and please don't tell me otherwise cause lots of times i have dropped off numerous bags and boxes of stuff to your stores. Be reasonable with your pricing and maybe then you can get rid of some inventory. I would advise people to shop at Nationa Thrift where prices are extremely reasonable, better condition lots of new stuff much nicer and cleaner environment. read more

This is my favourite Value Village in Toronto. Positive: The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also find this location to be one of the cleanest, most organized and pleasant overall thrift-store shopping experience. This location is also quite large, thus providing greater variety than some other locations. I have found many fun vintage pieces at this location at a great value! Negative: I find more so than other Value Village's I have to really double check items before I purchase for rips / stains etc. Their jewelry section is lack luster in comparison to other Value Village's. Overall, much recommended for those that love to thrift! read more

Definitely my favorite value village ..so far! The first time I went there was a couple days ago on VV's 50% off sale. I decided to go there because of the reviews that i've read on here. The store is very spacious, doesn't smells AS bad as other thrift stores, is pretty organized (they organize them by male/female clothing & also sizes ..they also have little signs telling you what you'll find in that isle, i think most VV's have that though, not to sure). The store also has a couple fitting rooms and washrooms if you need to use them. I had an amazing first time experience at that store. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good value village. This store also has pretty decent clothing ..got a pair of high waisted levis jeans that i'm going to reconstruct into shorts for $5 with the 50% off! ..oh, and another 3 pairs of unbranded high waisted pants for $3.50 each with the 50% off! S/N: This VV is a great place to find high waisted pants! I'm the type of person that loves to reconstruct clothing so this was a bonus for me! read more

Um... I don't know what people are talking about. Management is great, and the place is super organized. Not only were people, and especially management forthcoming about all things, including policies but my mom who is disabled, lost a bag of groceries, which they held for us until I went back for it the next day. Furthermore the manager herself rummaged through stuff on a screaming busy day of Christmas shoppers in order to get me the video I wanted. Amazing service, amazing management, (A blonde lady whose name escapes me) and very good prices. I Will continue to shop there indefinitely. read more

Value Village doesn't lives up to its name. The reasons are : 1) Clothing....... don't expect Olsen twin style vintages clothes here. More like frumpy grandparents style clothes and late 90's, 2000 style. Quality of clothes varies and price for the clothes is ..... cheap. But who wants outdated and unstylish clothes? Certainly not me! 2) Shoes and bags section is a joke. I saw one of those bags institutions hand out for free, extremely worn out shoes, filthy and bad condition shoes. 3) toys there aren't too bad but don't expect perfect looking barbies most of them are bald. 4) They sell cheap home decorations, the ones you probably want to get rid of.... but I am encouraging anyone to go there, it's fun looking at what they have there and .. who knows maybe some rich women donated truckload of last season designer stuff read more

Very over priced ! I've been to a lot of them in the area and the kids clothes section and become more and more expensive as the years go by. I've also found women's blouses with tears in it and jeans that are dirty while being completely over-priced. Forr example $10 for a dirty torn shirt. The manager does nothing to help when you complain and they will not do it price adjustments. Don't waste your time, there are other ones that are better! read more

So there are change rooms here. There were seven of them and a six item limit to bring in. The change rooms were normal size and not too small. The service was very minimal. The only people I talked to were the lady in charge of the change rooms and a nice lady at the cash register. The clothing price were ok. The nicer clothing were around $6 and up. The plain/normal t-shirts and stuff were around $3 and under. I didn't check out the pants but I did see that there were a few jean jackets. I wanted to buy one but they didn't suit my taste. All off them were around $14 and up. I wanted to go to the mens section to find some plaid and button down shirts but I didn't get the time to. I think thrift shopping is better to go alone because I could feel that my friend was bored so I didn't look through everything. Overall my experience was good I guess. I would have liked to go on a sales day instead because I bought three pieces that added up to $23. Wish I went on a sales day but I didn't know. read more

Tuesdays are 30% off seniors 60 and over. That is a huge saving. If I see something a few days before that I like, and is still around Tuesday it's an extra bonus. You must tell the cashier you are a senior before cashing out, or they will not apply the discount. Transaction has to be voided and well... so just tell them right away. I like this location. Some of the house ware merchandise is pricey. It makes no sense and needs to be addressed. Wouldn't it be nice if one day they wold throw in a " free book of your choice " with purchase of $5.00 . Too many books on shelves that don't move. I see students, seniors, family with children who may be on a budget or getting by, why not have a " no tax " day it makes a difference. Have fun and take some time to sift through the racks . Some days you win some and other days you don't. read more

the value village here at victoria park and eglinton is way overpriced. especially if you are looking for electronics. the stereo gear and stuff like computer printers sell for 50 dollars and are mostly not working! and they will not take them back! many cheap walmart type dvd players not working and they are asking 25.00 for these. do they even test this stuff/ i think not ! and i hear the best electronics go out the back door to preffered clients. shame on you value village for ripping your customers off. i saw a kid's guitar with no strings, the type you buy new for 30.00 and they were asking 50.00 bucks ! and to think they get all of this stuff for free from unsuspecting donors. this is not a charity. this is a business. they donate maybe 10% and the rest is profit. shame ! read more
