Treasures untold. Stopped in here after lunch with coworkers and oh the gems we found. They needed a few carefully curated art pieces to re decorate a common space in the office. We uncovered some amazing finds - a painting depicting a character we lovingly call "Business Cat", a handmade embroidered photo titled "Team Ben + Amy" plus an autographed framed photo of Vin Diesel himself. Each were a steal at under $6.99. Even the cashier herself couldn't believe what we had uncovered ("I can't believe someone gave that away!" She proclaimed at the sight of Vinny). Come visit with an open mind and a few minutes to browse, you could find something pretty amazing!

I will completely rewrite the review because I have been having great luck here in the last year or so, I will not say what finds but they have been really good for my purposes! right now it's one of the best vv's I have been in the gta. they even have repainted the interior white instead of the tired yellow which refreshed it quite a bit! not a find on every visit but there has been more than enough good finds, thanks to the great donors!!! staff has been nice as well. 3.5/5

There are few Value Villages in Toronto that aren't picked over completely, but the one by Queen and Carlaw is usually a good bet for some hidden gems. They have a large selection of kids stuff and accessories as well, bigger than most. It's right on the street car line and they don't completely over price everything although they are wise to the labels. Ralph Lauren will always be more expensive than a generic brand, even if it's not in the best condition, but the staff are super nice and informative (like they know where to direct you rather than being all glazed over) and I've never gone in without finding something that was worth making the trek for.

Having been in a lot of antique shops, this spot desperately needs an 'organiser', someone to help arrange the aisles, make sense of the stock. A lot of it gets lost, missed due to the clutter. A few people inside makes it difficult to navigate the very tight thin aisles. Looking forward to returning.

The owners have seemingly 'ransacked the universe' to put together a sweet collection of new, old and reworked items. It's one of my favourite places to gift shop and occasionally pick up things for myself. My boyfriend hasn't taken off his up-cycled plaid handkerchief scarf since I gifted it to him for x-mas. Most of the things sold at Ransack are made by local artisans but there's quite a few solid vintage finds(old posters, records and some furnishings) as well. Very happily there are no old fur coats or stuffed dead animals at all to ruin my vintage shopping experience or create that narsty smell you find at some vintage stores (I'm looking at you Kensington market). This store is strictly awesome. You really need to discover this place for yourself though. There are so many things to regardez-vous I find myself circling the shop several times taking it all in before I can decide what I can't leave without.

First time today going here (ever) after couple of gov. imposed lockdowns since it opened around…read morethe same time last year My impression of this store was that it was quiet, organized, the people working there were nice and there were a lot of stuff to choose from. In the aisles, the items were organized based on what they were while the at the ends of the aisles (the side near the clothing) were organized by colour. The prices seemed to be lower than the couple of thrift stores I have been to. They don't calculate taxes on what you are getting so if you spend $5, you will pay $5 which was a shock to me (in a good way). I will probably here many more time in the future. I would totally recommend coming here.

*Rating only for the Donation Centre*…read more The Donation Centre at this Goodwill location is great! This plaza gets pretty busy and parking seemed to be packed but if you're looking for the Donation Centre, it is located on the right side, where there is additional parking. There is also a curbside area with signage directing you to pull up to for drop-offs, there's no need to park. At a glance, the Donation Centre looks to be very clean and organized. There is a large door open on the side of the building for donation drop-offs. We were told to leave our donations in the doorway, and the staff will later retrieve and sort through them. They operate with contactless donations - how convenient! Goodwill works with organizations that provide assistance to those with barriers seeking employment and upgrading their skills. What doesn't get sold in their stores, gets rotated to other locations, to Goodwill outlets, then sent to textile factories to be upcycled and repurposed. If you're looking to donate your items, please support non-profit places like Goodwill, rather than for-profit businesses in the area like Value Village and Talize.
