They sell similar products that Daiso sells and originally did sell Daiso products until they rebranded. I would say, OOMOMO has better quality products, though noticeably more expensive. They sell a variety of different brands here and have a more vast selection. HUGE STORE; I love buying Japanese makeup and stationary items from here. They've got makeup, skincare, household goods, kitchenware, snacks, & hardware. Highly recommend checking the store out!!

I've seen some of the exact same plates at other stores for maybe 30% higher price Cups and plates are my personal go to, but they have everything from soys sauce dishes to modern coffee mugs to matcha ceremony bowls. Styles are far ranging and include cute and elegant, modern and traditional styles, and they carry lots of different sizes so you are likely to find something to suit your taste. I personally only buy dishwasher safe / microwaveable ceramics (so I actually use them) and a lot of the stock they have fits that criteria. The rest of the store is a whole labyrinth of home goods like beauty, kitchen tools, home organization, snacks, and craft goods. Again some rare finds exist, so it is well worth a look. I personally bought calligraphy stuff that was cheaper and more convenient here than buying it online, and they had related supplies like writing pads, practice paper, etc. The Japanese trinket/souvenir section stands out to me because you can get things that are rare to chance upon elsewhere. The ceramic darumas are well priced, and I've bought other cute traditional figurines there. Overall there's a lot to see in this store, to the point where it feels overwhelming to browse all sections. I keep my visits targeted and short so I don't wear myself out looking at 200 pairs of similar looking chopsticks. Also, sometimes the prices in this store are questionable, but I browse knowing overall it's fair (case in point for weird pricing - tiny plate $2, significantly larger medium size plate for $2.25). I don't live close by so I come around whenever I'm in the area.

I signed up for their newsletter and that's how I discovered that they have a retail location in Richmond Hill that was going to be open to the public the same time that I was going to be in the GTA, and the hotel that I was staying at was less than 10 minutes away. I believe that they have 2 retail locations (this one in Richmond Hill and one in Toronto proper). These locations open up to the public for a few months at a time, unlike their travelling sales where they are only in town for a few days. Anyway, it's a warehouse, so it looks and feels like a warehouse. Prices are ok. Some items are fairly cheap, like stickers ($0.50) and books ($2.50-$10). Others are slightly lower than retail, but not bargain basement prices. They had costumes which were the same price as Party City after Halloween. It's pretty big, and is fun to poke around if you have kids in your life. You'll almost certainly find something for them. It's in an industrial park so there's lots of free parking in their parking lot.

I definitely will be coming again.

Now the prices for those smash burgers are no where near $5 as promoted on social media in the past, it's more like $12 for the double smash burger, average in price but it was greasy good and quickly came out from the pizza, sandwich and burger counter. It's everything you would want in a smash burger. I highly recommend their burgers and the fast food counter. However, I decided to try some traditional Iranian / Middle Eastern food located at their back counter. Be warned they are NOT fast food... it's very slow to come out. It seems like all the items I asked on the menu are not available. They had a Monday special and everything is sold out by like 2pm or not available. I tried to order something else and it was also not available. I ending up asking what she recommends, and said kebabs so I end up getting Koobideh which is $17 with tax comes to $19. But after I paid I found out I had to wait 15 mins but in reality maybe over 20 mins, which is kind of slow for takeout. I probably would've just skipped if I knew the food would've taken that long and just got food at the front burger counter. They didn't have any other customers there but there are a couple of Uber deliveries I see at the front and notice they are doing some Uber deals. But with at least 3-4 people working on the food at the back, it seems way too slow. When the food came out it was good, the kebab was on par with some of the Persian food I've had around the area but probably not enough for me to come out just for this. I would be curious to try the other foods that I haven't heard of before. But you'll need more coordination with a pre-order given they are slow and things could be not available (at least for the Iranian / Middle Eastern food counter). Keep in mind the staff might not speak English well so don't expect them to be able to explain the dishes and options. I was hoping I could pick up some food and maybe a bit of groceries. However, they don't have many staples like bananas we were looking for (though they have other fruit). More so specialty products, pasta, grains and seasonings. The sangak looked really good and I see they have a huge oven at the back to make it. Apparently, it's Iranian's national bread. I was very tempted to pick some up but way too much for us to finish. Probably not traditional sizing but smaller portions would be great for newbies to buy and try.

When you walk into the store, Hyper Grill is on the right. - If you are a nut, date, or feta fan, you'll fine dedicated sections for these items. A recent Yelp experience introduced me to Hyper Grill, a fast food stall within Hyper Fresh, a cool supermarket that specializes in Iranian and international foods, including Turkish and Indian items. I hadn't visited any businesses along Doncaster for several years. I dropped by often when Cayne's Super Housewares (it was next door to this supermarket), and Hampstead House Books were alive and kicking along this street. I drove over to Hyper Fresh after work on a Thursday. Taking backroads was great. I got here in roughly 25 minutes from home. All parking spots in front of this supermarket are on a slant. There were also cars parked parallel to Doncaster, which was weird. They were all taken. I ended up parking closer to K-Beauty Outlet, which had normal parking. The entrance has a ramp. I felt like I was working out my calves walking in. If you are using a wheelchair, you'll need extra arm strength to get yourself up the ramp and into the store. Coming out of the store, you may need to use your brake! My friend, Sandy, was already in the store, perusing. I found her and we browsed before and after hitting Hyper Grill. It's cool that we like checking out supermarkets among other shared interests. We both enjoyed cheeseburgers at Hyper Fresh. They were excellent smash burgers with all the fixings, including caramelized onions. It also has pizzas, sandwiches, and more. The fries are also yummy, with a light, crispy coating. There is seating to enjoy your food. There's an area with tables and chairs. We sat by the window. It was fun perusing the grocery store. I needed to get celery. The produce was fresh. I was pleased with the selection of celery available. We saw a lot of nuts. No, not customers. Almonds. Pistachios. Cashews. A lot! This store also has an entire display dedicated to dates. I liked that you could enjoy sample dates in this store. I found triangular paratha in the fridge. I got some. It wasn't my regular brand that was flaky. It was triangular without any flakiness, which was disappointing. What was great was getting a small tub of pomegranate ice cream. It was slightly sweet, with a lot of yummy pomegranate flavour. I'm nearly done, so I may need to head back soon to get the larger tub. We looked at salt .Blue salt was going for $20. Yikes! I need to research why it's so expensive. I hope that it has special properties. As with any supermarket, some prices are cheap and some are not. I wouldn't recommend getting pop here. However, it had carbonated yogurt drinks that were decent in price. They also intrigued me. I saw channa masala seasoning and Turkish delight. It was cool seeing other international items. Sandy made a good observation that this store didn't have a whole lot of chocolate. We eventually found chocolate bar squares near the checkout area. I got a milk chocolate bar that was yummy. There's a meat shop in the back left of the store. There was a lot of feta cheese to look at, too. I look forward to returning. I liked seeing the jam varieties in this store, from fig to rose petal. The man at the checkout was so nice. I paid for my goods with a credit card. He put my items in a bag. It was a seamless transaction. I had a wonderful experience shopping here. Perhaps when I'm heading home from work, I'll drop by again and fetch my groceries here. (151)

This store is in a plaza where you need to pay attention to drivers who don't check their blindspots. I pulled into this parking lot at around 6 pm. I had to honk at a car that felt like backing out without checking a thing. When I left, a similar situation happened with another car. I already felt that this wouldn't be a store that I'd frequent often if I am fearing for my life trying to find a parking spot. Anyway, I backed into a spot across from the main entrance. I walked in. It does feel like the IGA that I used to frequent. It simply has Dollarama merchandise. There was lots of Easter merchandise. From chocolate Easter bunnies, to baskets for your treats, you can find everything here. One of the few items that you can get for $1 are one-litre bottles of Pepsi. There were many when I was there. If you are looking for mason jars, this store has cases of them. The catch is that they aren't wide-mouth jars. Rather, they have bottlenecks. If you're looking for the former, you're out of luck. I liked the colourful planters at this store. You can do some cool gardening and save some money by getting your supplies at this store. You can get seeds and soil. Done! This store does not have any self-checkout kiosks. I lined up at the checkout area that moved fairly well. There was one person doing everything. He was pleasant. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I grabbed my items, wished him a great evening, and left. It's a decent store. Poor drivers backing out of parking spots that scare me. (134)

The name always throws me off because I think of Woodside Square in Scarborough. Anyway, it's next door to Kitchen Stuff Plus, which is highly convenient. This Winners isn't my favourite. It makes sense to me why I haven't got around to doing a review until now. It's not a horrible store. I find that the selection is either spot on or disappointing, depending on what I need. Over a decade ago, when I worked for a company in Scarborough, it was hosting its first user symposium. I played a few roles, including updating our corporate Web site with photos and information about the event. I needed business clothes. My friend and I came to this Winners to get some decent apparel. This store holds my personal record for spending the most time at a Winners during a single visit. We spent two hours looking at and trying on blazers, blouses, and pants. I ended up buying a blazer and a blouse. The blazer still works and has stood the test of time. I have since worn it numerous times for various job interviews. It's kind of my lucky blazer. Sadly, the blouse didn't last as long as the blazer. I recently went back to this store to check it out. I was here for one thing: a PopSocket. A couple of weeks ago, I got a new phone case for my new phone. I needed a new PopSocket, as I might as well go with this new streak. I came here last Wednesday after running a number of errands. There is always plenty of parking. I parked fairly close to the store and walked in. A friendly guy was manning a hand sanitizer station. He was great. I said hi and walked in. Purses greeted me next. Sadly, there wasn't a single Kipling bag for me to gush over. I was sad. I like that most Winners stores have similar layouts. I immediately found the phone accessories section, which is right by the checkout. There were lots of PopSocket designs to choose from. I was happy and selected the one that won my heart. I avoided the shoe section. I don't need more shoes! The selection of women's size 11 footwear is also hit or miss. It's all about timing. The store's interior is much more inviting than I recall. Aisles are wider. The lighting is better. I liked the improvements since I was last here. I paid using a debit card. There wasn't a lineup at 7 pm on a Wednesday night. I got my TJX Style+ card scanned, too. I thanked the woman and left. Here's hoping that it offers Kipling bags soon. It's a good Winners. It's just not my favourite out of the three in Markham, but it had what I needed during this visit. (429)

This place reminds me of Pacific Mall (dying), Oriental Mall (dead except the old people hanging out there) and perhaps to a lessor extent a dead mall like Center Point. Why would you go there when Center Point is so close with free parking? Since many of the shops are owned and nothing new is happening, I figure it will just slowly die with increasing management fees. Whoever designed the place is missing what shows up in other malls. The mall has quite a nice set up but definitely lack any foot traffic. The supermarket in the basement area is the busiest of them all but with underground parking attached to the supermarket most customers are not going to visit other stores/business upstairs.
