I usually come to Centerpoint Mall for Dollarama, Congee Queen and Canadian Tires. Occasionally, I…read morewould kill some time by walking around the mall to check out what's new. It's pretty much been the same over the past years, same mom and pop clothing stores, with a food court. I personally really like the shop with all the pretty dresses and handsome tuxedos for kids, they are super cute and very affordable! I would go into One's Better Living to browse around for home items/decors. A little sad that they don't have a legit bubble milk tea shop inside the mall.... just coffee and tea, Real Fruit, and a Freshly Squeeze (which did not open when I went). The newest addition would be K-Food Kitchen, right next to mall entrance #2, selling a variety of kimbab and fried chicken platters!

To be brutally honest ... it's actually a personal favourite - but as something more along the lines of a Public Service Announcement, I'd rather keep the consumer's expectations in check, and maybe let them be pleasantly surprised by what this modest mall has to offer. So. This is definitely a neighbourhood mall as opposed to a Destination Mall like Yorkdale or Square One. You have your No Frills supermarket; your Canadian Tire all purpose goods store; your Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy; and your Hudson's Bay department store, forming the cornerstones. Add to that, some solid amenities like a Fit for Less gym; a full service Pickle Barrel restaurant for your sit down meal and beverage needs; a Dollarama for your dollar store purchases; a full food court with many food outlets to choose from; and plenty of clothing, jewellery, and many more specialty shops to cover most items you might need. The washrooms used to be a dingy affair down in the basement but have been relocated and upgraded to the main floor. Nice improvement! You can also choose from a Tim Hortons takeaway counter, an open area Timothy's, a private company coffee counter, and a pretty nice self contained cafe called Dolce Camerata with its own outdoor patio space for plenty of cuppa Joe and snacks options. One of few remaining Ardene outlet stores is also still here. There are a lot of one-of type clothing stores with tons of low cost items, and a couple of shoe stores. There aren't a lot of chain stores, especially in the toiletries department so don't look in vain if you're hunting for Body Shop or Bath & Body Works items. In fact, you will find very few chain stores here, which is where it will likely fail the more demanding consumer. Great for every day needs. Beware the mall parking, which for some reason is inexplicably difficult to access and navigate in spite of a decent volume of parking spaces. Just don't expect to be wowed, and maybe you'll find a few unexpected, little surprises.

Shops on Yonge is a new set of businesses integrated with condominiums on the northeast corner of Yonge Street and Doncaster Avenue. There is underground parking for the condos in this corner, along with World Shops and Shops on Yonge. Parking is free. I parked closer to the World Shops elevator. I took it up to the second floor and then used the skywalk to walk over to Shops on Yonge Street. Just before 5 pm on a Saturday, there was a decent amount of activity at Shops on Yonge. There was a hair salon that didn't have an empty chair. Every seated customer was getting a new 'do. I walked by Belifornia Bakery and salivated over the cake slices in the display case. I was happy to see a convenience store, too. I took the elevator up to the second floor. This place has three floors. I looked down at the P1 floor and saw a massive supermarket. I soon realized that it was Seasons Food Mart. It looked so deadly that I decided not to drop by. I knew that if I did, I'd be broke and I'd need help carrying my purchases to my car. I'm definitely returning when it's payday. The setup at Shops on Yonge is a cross between British flagship stores, such as Marks and Spencer, and shopping complexes in Shanghai, such as the Agile International Plaza. With the former, the entire grocery section is in the basement and the selection is highly impressive. With the latter, each floor has some sort of shopping theme. The first floor has the Muji flagship store. If you want food, everything is on the second floor. For fashion, check out the third floor. I passed by Tea Shop 168 to hit the food court. I saw one woman with a massive bowl of udon noodles in soup and it looked good. You can dine at the food court, with tables and chairs far apart to enforce physical distancing. I made a mental note of a Shanghai pan-fried buns place. I'll remember it because my last name is in the business's name! I picked up my food at Aburiyaki Sushi. It's a family-run business and the woman was super nice. I'm so glad that I ventured over to Shops on Yonge. There's plenty for me to discover. I used to drop by here to shop at a local bookstore and housewares store. Both have shuttered for good, which explains why I rarely visit the area. I have a reason now. (291)

Most of the people visit to go to a specific store and not to browse the mall. There are a few Currency Exchange stores, mobile stores and jewelry stores. Underground parking and several parking spots are available in front of the mall.

My rating is 3.5 stars. I love the produce and Asian products. Anusha, an associate, ruined my initial experience at this grocery store. I'm rounding down. A few Saturdays ago, after dropping off a couple of items at the Markham Household Hazardous Waste Depot, I needed to get groceries. I did something different and sought out a grocery store that I had never visited. I settled for this Walmart in Richmond Hill. This Walmart is with a bunch of box stores. I used to frequent this area often years ago. I remember when this store used to be a Sam's Club. It was extremely busy in the parking lot on a Saturday afternoon. I parked a fair distance away from the main entrance. Unlike my usual Walmart in Markham in the Boxgrove area that doesn't require any coin to unlock a shopping cart, this place requires a 25-cent deposit to unlock one. I had a quarter in my wallet and put it to good use. I will say that I like the produce section a lot. It's probably because it features Al Premium products. The celery that I got was healthy and in pristine condition. The avocados looked good. Prices were decent. The fruit section was excellent. I got strawberries and cherries. I also saw dragon fruit and lychee. What ruined my experience was Anusha, an associate. I was walking next to a long fridge. It had ended, so there was a slight gap between my cart, with me behind it, and the next fridge to my right. This woman wanted to pass me on the right side between my cart and the open fridge. Really? I'm technically pushing a cart on the right. How about pass on the left like a normal human being would have done?! Anusha was rude. She had to wait in front of the fridge, with my cart and me moving forward. Just a weird move on her part. I gave her a puzzled stare. I loved the Asian section. I got gyoza that were delicious when I heated them up at home. I got black garlic ramen that I love. This place has a ton of ramen varieties that it was almost overwhelming! A good supermarket with Asian products has to have Pei Pa Koa. This store had the large bottles. Whenever I have a sore throat that leads to a horrible cough, this product is the only one that works wonders for me. I loved seeing it here. I got snacks I grabbed a bottle of peanuts. I also got a couple of boxes of Dare cookies. There was a clearance section as I headed toward the checkout. It looked so chaotic, as if a huge fan was trying to blow all products on the display shelves and it succeeded. It was so messy that I didn't even bother looking at whatever discounts were there. Also unlike my regular Walmart in Markham, this one didn't have any humans at the checkout area to help customers cash out. Rather, the self-checkout kiosks were encouraged. I had no problem scanning my items. I then paid with a credit card. I bagged everything with my reusable bags and then headed to my car to load my purchases into it. I was parked next to the shopping cart return area. I got my quarter back. I then left. I love the products here. It sadly took a Walmart associate to ruin my experience. She needs to realize that she is representing Walmart and trying to play chicken with my cart isn't cutting it. I hope that other associates working at this store aren't like her. She dampened my shopping experience by being an impatient jerk. Should I return to this store, I hope that she's not there. (323)

The store carries a lot more inventory and I have more luck finding items when they are on sale at this location than at the other Walmart. It also has a huge grocery section: bakery, meat, fruits, veggies, seafood etc. I also like their self checkout though they always seemed to close half of it. Lots of parking space as the lot shares with other sotres. The lot is always half empty towards the back. The only thing I wish is that it would be close to me :)

The Great Value brand 907g bag is not even listed on their Walmart website so I suppose you have to pick it up in person to get this. Its organic too and seem to be similar product though I do notice the Costco one does have Halal certification if that matters to you. It's also listed as Product of Canada whereas I don't see that label at Costco. What a great buy! Now I know I don't need to reach Costco to get these staples. If you also deck out your smoothies, oatmeal, cereals, baked goods or yogurts with some hemp hearts for added protein, this is a great find. PSA: My friend recently got hacked on her Walmart account and someone made a bunch of grocery purchases for pick up in a different city. I highly recommend to not save your credit card info down at Walmart in case some hacker is able to access it. She was able to get her funds returned from her credit card company but be careful out there! I don't shop at One's Better Living often. When I do see this store, I have to pop by. There is a lot of merchandise at this store. I like checking out the housewares section. I love looking at plates, bowls, mugs, cookware, and more. Prices are decent. You can typically find items on sale. There were a lot of cool pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, and more. I saw garlic-shaped erasers. It was as if this store knew that I was dropping by. I also liked a pencil sharpener with Hello Kitty on it. I ended up getting a pair of blue silicone tongs that are essentially sticks with grooves at the end to grip your food. They would be great flipping thin meat or Korean short ribs than using regular tongs or a spatula. I liked looking at chopsticks and cutlery. I don't need any, but it's always enjoyable to see Sanrio-branded ones that are cute and functional. This store had a few water fountains and lucky cats with only one arm moving up and down. They were fun to observe in action! This store has a lot of drinkware. There is something for everyone. I liked this mug with a hamburger character on the lid that was a functional knob to grab to take the lid off the mug. I went to pay for my item. The woman at the front was extremely efficient and to the point. No conversation. Just the basics to get the transaction done. I used my MasterCard to pay. This place accepts debit and MasterCard only. I tapped and was done. I thanked the woman, grabbed my item, and left. I love my silicone tongs. They grip well and are perfect. The price didn't break the bank, which I appreciated. This store was awesome to drop by. I'd return when I'm at this mall. (156)
