I usually stock my breakfast staples like shelled hemp hearts at Costco but I had to get some soon since and we're running low and noticed Walmart sell bulk hemp hearts in my recent trip for I think even cheaper ($12.97 at Walmart) than Costco in store! The Great Value brand 907g bag is not even listed on their Walmart website so I suppose you have to pick it up in person to get this. Its organic too and seem to be similar product though I do notice the Costco one does have Halal certification if that matters to you. It's also listed as Product of Canada whereas I don't see that label at Costco. What a great buy! Now I know I don't need to reach Costco to get these staples. If you also deck out your smoothies, oatmeal, cereals, baked goods or yogurts with some hemp hearts for added protein, this is a great find. PSA: My friend recently got hacked on her Walmart account and someone made a bunch of grocery purchases for pick up in a different city. I highly recommend to not save your credit card info down at Walmart in case some hacker is able to access it. She was able to get her funds returned from her credit card company but be careful out there! The self serve doesn't open till later around 740 so everyone gathered around 3 cashiers. That means that I waited 17 minutes in line to pay. This Walmart is focused on saving half an hour of labour opening at 730 with total disregard for the customers waiting in line When I asked one of the staff to call the manager to see at these huge lines I was told the manager is not open and the self serve will open soon in the meantime wait in line. It is a big well-maintained superstore and they have been keeping it clean, especially during Covid-19 pandemic. It has a great collection of fresh vegetables and fruits. This is my go-to grocery store, I've always loved the price matching and selection, but the last few times this I've been here, it's been a disappointment. There's only 4 lanes with tellers (so the lines can get long), everything else is self-checkout. Last time I was there, I grabbed some frozen pizzas because I saw there was a great deal. However I saw the same pizzas in the regular aisle for the full price, so I took a photo of the good deal. When I got to the teller, these pizzas scanned as full price, so I showed the photo. The teller called up the manager and she went to go look in the frozen section, but when she came back, she said she couldn't find anywhere where these were listed as $2.97, so they wouldn't honour it. I'm not a Karen so I didn't make a fuss, I just didn't take the pizzas. Also, incredibly disappointed that Walmart (at least this location) is ending their ad-match promise. The Walton's are one of the richest families in the world, and they want to end a program that helps lower class/middle class families save money? It's despicable. My experience with the new configuration was a logistics nightmare for people who want to avoid staying there for a long time. I was waiting in line to check out for approximately 45 minutes. There was no direction from anybody whether the line we were on was for cashier or self check out. In the meantime, there was no 6 feet apart rule or ..... 6ft floor stickers..... and there was absolutely no one directing traffic. Instead, The workers were looking at their self phones and texting and had no direction of the busy traffic. Absolutely unacceptable during a surge of covid19 cases. It felt like a party there. It was disgusting.. Do not go there.My experience with hwy7 and Yonge was much better. They at least have 2 long lines on major isles to be checked out . Never had a problem there. Update: I always come to this Walmart for my groceries for the past 2 years. My brother picked up a Dose Juice for me yesterday at this location and it was a week and a half past the best before date. I didn't check the date when he gave it to me, assuming it would be fine and took a sip of it, it was beyond sour. Always make sure to check the dates at this location, it's not the first time that I've seen an item past the date. read more

Walmart pretends to portray it's self as a discount store with integrity pricing. We'll if you want to take a passport photo, you will realize after your photo has been taken that they are charging rate similar to a store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I paid over $80 for 4 passport photos. After I left the store, it hit me that I may have been ripped off. I checked the price on Costco an they charge $6.99!!! In my books this is a rip off hands down. When I asked for them to match the price, they said that they do not match and do not offer rebates. Messy and low-staffed! Either there is no staff or the ones you barely find are not helpful! There are tons of boxes all around the store that looks like some trucks just unloaded them in the middle of the store without any supervising on how the products inside them should be correctly placed! If something is missing on the shelves, you could go through the boxes and find it! A total mess! And you have to spend another good amount of time to find an employee who is responsible to help you! Only downside there isn't a garage to do oil and tire changes. Other than that it's a full featured Walmart with plenty of goods and competitive pricing, this location includes a small grocery and garden centre. Something neat I discovered.. so I ran out of propane for the Canada Day BBQ festivities, to my delight there's an automated propane exchange machine near the garden centre. Just drive up, bring your empty tank, follow the instructions and have a credit card handy. $27 for a replacement tank. read more

The staff and the shoppers are freaking awful and I wouldn't waste another second of my life here. Aside from leaving with a brain aneurysm, I did find everything I was looking for and it was reasonably priced. I've lived in a small town for 24 years and recently moved to Thornhill. Struggling to find the positives in this area as most human interaction is short, rude and to be honest, dissapointing. This Walmart proved no different. I returned to my car after 20 minutes to find it completely blocked in by carts from lazy owners. As I walked both carts back to the buggy return area, I saw a lady leave her cart into the MIDDLE of a high traffic exit lane. FFS, COMMON! If you're looking for a good experience, you won't find it in this Walmart. I'll stick to shopping on Rutherford/400 area and avoid this one at all costs. [RE: The Walmart Thornhill Supercenter Pharmacy #5831] Absolutely HORRIBLE - I've NEVER had so many issues with a pharmacy in my entire LIFETIME. They've been a nightmare since the Covid-19 pandemic began, especially: COMPLETELY uncooperative, inconsistent and unreliable. Terribly scatterbrained, disorganized, inefficient, and their guidelines/rules/policies seem to change per day/with their feelings. On top of all this, the pharmacists have the audacity to be extremely RUDE too! Problem after problem, it's become evident that this pharmacy DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT'S CUSTOMERS ONE BIT (the last b*tchy pharmacist I spoke to made it clear they didn't care about my business or if I took it elsewhere - wow, such *great* customer service skills too!  /immense sarcasm)... Between not bothering to inform me that one of my prescriptions was TOTALLY DISCONTINUED/IMPOSSIBLE TO GET MORE OF until THE *DAY*! I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET IT DELIVERED (had to scramble to get an emergency appointment with a very in-demand specialist, quickly determine a suitable replacement/alternative prescription AND fill it - did I mention I needed to start taking these time-sensitive pills they day they were SUPPOSED to be delivered?!), endless staff screw-ups, myriads of telephone disconnections, sudden refusals to supply certain types of medications (that were offered without issue in the past), and being TOTALLY left in the dust by their so-called "to-door-deliveries", I've endured enough stress from this pharmacy to last me forever. Consider yourself lucky if your "delivery" arrives AT ALL - BE SURE to note that the lazy-a$$ 2-cent-a-minute drivers they employ (via cheap third parties) to conduct their VERY IMPORTANT PRESCRIPTION DELIVERIES, flat-out REFUSE to actually leave the prescription outside your suite door if you live in ANY sort of high-rise/condo/apartment or multiple tenant building. There are hardly ever enough cashiers to meet demand leading to unnecessarily long lines. The items on the shelves are frequently messed up and sometimes are even opened! In all fairness, this can probably be blamed on some of the unfortunate customers that shop here. Not surprised by such the low rating of this particular walmart. I usually go to the Aurora location but decided to check out this location because its easy access via 88yrt bus. First off, I went to return some unopened still sealed lip glosses that I decided I didn't want. I didn't have the receipt and was fine getting it on a shopping card bc that's how I initially paid for the items and I explained that to the lady at customer service. She basically told me i was lying and how I should have a "gift receipt" and it makes no sense. At the end of it I got back the amount on a shopping card. Then came the manager. I went to purchase some holiday plants that were on clearance. Some lovely customers decided to rip out some of the plants and I assume stick them in other decorations to purchase. I only wanted the plain bulbs which happened to have the missing plants. I explained to the manager the situation and he tried to tell me how I can either pay the price but a discount won't be offered because its already on clearance and will just be shipped back to the manufacturer. The cost of shipping it back to the manufacturer would be a whole lot instead of just selling it at an even discounted price to a customer. Just because an item is on clearance doesn't mean walmart and the manufacturer isn't still profiting. I asked him i could just go rip off the plants from the bulbs and put them in the bulbs I wanted. Of course he said no. I did it anyways BC fuck you walmart. Lazy ass customers don't put the shopping carts back and both self and associate check outs are always a line up. Customers stand right in the middle of the walk way and talk to each other while others try to leave around them. I will stick to the Aurora location where people are more respectful and the staff is tolerable. The only positive thing about this walmart is the McDonald's. I don't buy from this store again. I saw a lg 4k ultra hd 3d in this store . The price was 1100$. The day after , when i wanted buy that tv , the price was 1650$. I complained about that to customer service, thy told me if you buy it online you can get in 1100$. I did it , delivery was in 5 days ,I payed for the tv online by visa card. After one week I couldn't get my tv . I called to walmart online but they told me you must wait for 20 days. I waited but after 20 days , they called me and told me we are out of stock and we cancell your otrder, They refunded my money to my account after some days and I can't get the tv. Im forced to give this walmart a 1 star but what i really want to do is give it NO STARS. The worst experience and customer service i have ever experienced. Im going to focus on the photo lab and keep it short submitted my photo's online, i was called immediately by this location saying that my photos would take longer than 1 hour because their system was down. They said it would take 2 days, after 2 days i called them to inquire since i received an email stating my photo's were ready and i was charged on my credit card. Before going into the walmart I called to inquire just to make sure I was told no, and that the email was an error. I asked when the photo's would be ready i was told 2 days. I doubt I would ever return to this Wal Mart location because not of the staff but rather the people that come through this location. It's not in a bad neighbourhood at all, right on Bathurst in a developing area that's nice. The plaza is full of other stores no restaurants so the parking is spacious. But what baffled me the most was the fact there was a pan handler walking around the self checkout area asking for loose change!!! When I first saw him I thought he was someone's kid who was just bored walking around. But he came up to behind and was mumbling "spare change?" like other pan handlers do downtown. I didn't make eye contact cause Im non confrontational in most of these situations. He walked away and went to another customer trying to cash out. I could tell that the person managing the self checkout station noticed what was going on and had contacted a supervisor. It kinda took a while for the supervisor to get here and access the situation. I guess she had to wait and actually see him ask for money before being able to go up to him and say something. She handled it in a good way but I've never been in a Walmart where I had been in such an awkward situation. Mind you this was 2 in the afternoon not 2 in the morning or anything. went there today to buy a portable bbq on sale i saw on the flyer. I went to the seasonal and bbq section but couldn't find this item that i would like to buy. I couldn't see anyone with a blue Walmart vest on the floor/area unlike other Walmart locations i will find them anywhere. I went to the older greeter by the main entrance and she told me to ask the manager in the customer service. I saw the manager but then he said he's busy and i should talk to the 2 supervisors on duty. The line up in the customer service is unbelievable too long. I am absolutely furious, my wife is sick and needs to go overseas to visit her family, we needed to renew our passports in a hurry, went to our local Walmart to have our pictures taken. This review is really more about WalMart Customer Service and on-line ordering. I ordered a product that came with a battery, a sender and a receiver. The description explained about all 3 parts, though the picture - which wasn't clear- apparently was only of the battery. It shipped but when I picked it up, only the battery was sent, despite the bill listing the full kit. I returned it before I left the store and then contacted customer service. I didn't hear back in a day, or at all, as promised, but 2 days later, I received an email that the package had shipped again. I went to the local WalMart to pick it up and waited for half an hour, until I asked someone to check what was happening. They couldn't find the package - and that's where the store is at fault for making me wait and not coming out to tell me. I called the store the next day and the manager said that they never received the package - no one knows why I was sent a pick-up notice or by whom.
