They kept the controllers behind a glass case. They had about 7 controllers and to my surprise, the controllers were kept in clear plastic bags! No original Sony packaging! I asked "I thought these were brand new?" The guy there says "these are what we call open-box items. The controllers were just removed from the PS4 system. But they have never been used." That was a total lie because I inspected all the controllers (2 silver, 1 blue, 4 black) and they all had scratches on them. Several of them even had the serial number sticker on the back removed or scratched off. I questioned him about that, and he said "well we've sold many of these and never had a problem". There was a second hand store across from them that I went to and they advised me that this Canadian Outlet Store was notorious for selling refurbished items. Don't trust this place! It's a decent place to take in a movie. There is lots of parking and the seats are comfy. There are a handful of eateries parallel and closest to Lebovic Avenue. The Real Greek, East Side Mario's, and Minerva Tiffins were doing decent business when my movie was over at around 3:30 pm. There used to be a diner called Nickels in this row of eateries. It was owned by Celine Dion. My friend and I loved eating here. It threw you back to milkshakes, sandwiches, burgers, and Montreal-style smoked meats from the 50's or 60's. It was good eats and fairly cheap. It still sits vacant as this silver-looking bullet. It's a shame. Some businesses have stood the test of time. Old Navy, Wendy's, Roots, CIBC, and Dollarama are some of them. It was nice to see that they are still kicking around. There are some newer additions that look promising. Seafood City Supermarket and Healthy Planet are huge size-wise. I'll need to check them out when I return. It's a nice plaza where you can get almost everything. It does need a drugstore, though. I guess I benefited from "Corona Effect 1" which was the brief period of people avoiding crowded places before "Corona Effect 2" HoardFest kicked in. This was once my go-to Walmart, but I hadn't actually made a purchase here in 6 years (since the last time they went 24hrs during the Xmas season) because of obscene lineups & waiting times. I expected to just look around for whats on sale,then buy it at another location as usual. Turned out there was hardly anyone here so I bought Valvoline MaxLife engine oil for my Mom's car on sale for $19 / 5L and some washer fluid. That was a happy surprise. This location was reorganized and cleaned up about a year ago without the major renovation upheaval experienced in locations at Richmond Hill or Agincourt Mall. There are definite benefits more tidy, well lit displays and more walkable aisles while all sections remain in familiar locations. The trade off is you're less likely to score those occasional "finds" from rummaging through a mess to unearth a long discontinued item with an absurd markdown. This was probably a lucky one-off, I'm not a big Walmart fan anyway but when I do use it I will probably keep preferring the Richmond Hill & Woodbridge locations, but it was a cool experience anyway

It has 2 levels (accessible by escalator or elevator) and has everything that all other Marshalls have (Urban Concept stores often don't have children's clothing, toys, or food items). Nobody seems to know about this hidden time-wasting gem, so feel free to walk around with the fear of bumping into people. It's worth browsing here if you have time to kill, maybe waiting for you movie to start, or restaurant reservation to kick in. The staff seem very chill which is fine for a laid back store like this.

Since then, this bubble tea franchise has shut down in the GTA. Chung Chun Rice Dog has taken over this spot. This change explains Skycity in a nutshell. There is a high concentration of bubble tea shops at Skycity. Competition is fierce. I was recently here, thinking that I should get some bubble tea. I actually couldn't decide because the selection was insane and proceeded with my errands instead... haha! I tend to visit Chatime the most here to get my bubble tea fix. Apart from an oversaturation of bubble tea stores, this place has a ton of food. I feel like it'll take me years to eat my way through this place. I recently visited Chung Chun and had an excellent experience. I love their Korean rice dogs and I'm thrilled that this location is a lot closer to me than heading over to North York to satisfy my cravings. My local Cheese Garden is here. I like that I can order online and drop by to pick up my goods. There are benches scattered around the plaza in case you are in a food coma after stuffing yourself to rest or take a nap. There is plenty of parking, although it does getting busy at night. Many eateries and bubble tea places open till 11:30 pm or midnight. There are other businesses, such as electronic stores, nail salons, and more. I have yet to make a dent in these categories here. The catch is that when you exit onto Midland, you can only turn right. Although it's convenient for me to turn left and head home, I don't mind cycling around the block to get home. It's safer considering how weird drivers can be around this area. One of these days, I will visit every bubble tea place here. There is lots of outdoor parking (could get crowded), and a few benches to sit outdoors. During pandemic times, all food restaurants are takeout. Recently restaurants are allowed to serve food on an outdoor patio but not all restaurants made a patio. There is no general WiFi for the mall.

The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.
