They allow you to browse the store and start a fitting room. There's isn't much sales pressure and there is always a dedicated attendant to assist you with zipping up the dress. I felt comfortable and assisted in the right way when needed. I found a dress I was in love with, however it was in a rough condition. The sales lady tried her best to alter and steam the issue and even assisted with better pricing to offset the minor issue. I walked away and went for a coffee and browsed a few other stores, when I realized the way these dresses fit my body at this store is nothing like the other big boxed stores for straight and narrow body types. (Apparently, they're the same company, but Plato's Closet is geared towards tweens-early 20s whereas Style Encore for the older career woman.) With Plato's either they didn't take any of my items - fine, I understand, they made me wait a looong time, e.g. more than an hour, &/or they'd offer me pocket change. This was my first time at any Style Encore and I was surprised by not only the amount of items, but the brands that they carried! Behind the counter, they had designer handbags, shoes, SLGs - all authenticated by Entrupy. They had EVERYTHING. It was a bit overwhelming for me to browse, as some items were placed high up/racks packed, but this is just my personal preference. HOWEVER, Julia was soo personable, showing me some hidden gems, so if I had something in particular that I was looking for &/or a special event to go to, I think this would be a great place to head! Much better option than looking aimlessly through the mall. Prices were very fair! And looking at some items, in some cases, they were same prices or even cheaper than thrift stores now.

Terrible customer service from Van Huesen at Heartland Town Centre store. They say they are open…read moreuntil 7pm on weekdays and until 6pm on weekends. But if you go to their store 30 mins before closing they will not allow to come inside, citing weird reasons like they have to sanitize the store so they cannot allow customers as early as 30 mins before closing time. But my question us why don't you mention it in the timings printed on the front door of your store?? How are customers supposed to know about your irregular store hours! I have been harassed by these people twice, once on a weekday and yesterday which was a weekend. They argued with me for good 20 minutes as to why they cant let me in for return, but they wont take my returns which is probably not more than a 5 min job! The store supervisor Yasmin went on to say that "their machines stop working after 6pm".. thats the funniest lie I have heard! I am very disappointed with such low level of customer service from these guys. I literally begged them to help me today, as the nearest store is atleast 20km from my home. But all 3 guys at the store argued with me why they cant let me in instead of helping me for 5 minutes. Also, no one bothered to wear mask or gloves at the store! You just lost a customer today!
