They allow you to browse the store and start a fitting room. There's isn't much sales pressure and there is always a dedicated attendant to assist you with zipping up the dress. I felt comfortable and assisted in the right way when needed. I found a dress I was in love with, however it was in a rough condition. The sales lady tried her best to alter and steam the issue and even assisted with better pricing to offset the minor issue. I walked away and went for a coffee and browsed a few other stores, when I realized the way these dresses fit my body at this store is nothing like the other big boxed stores for straight and narrow body types. They were fantastic at Glamour U. She worked for hours to make sure I found an outfit that could work with my shoes and then even the right jewelry to go with the outfit! Yes it's a good sale ... if you could even find something. So many clothes were thrown about, nothing was in a place that made sense, and if you did want to buy something, the crazy part there was a line up of at least 16 people. Forget even trying something on... I think half the rooms had other people stuff from who knows when. Something tells me they're seriously understaffed. I find this store to be one of the smallest Zara in the GTA and with the most casual lower end items. Save your sanity and your dollars and head over to Yorkdale or Sherway. The person doing my return blamed ME for making her life difficult (actual words) because she got some sort of error message on her register when processing my return? She said verbatim "if you purchased it online, you should do an online return". Ummm ma'am, then why do they give us the the option to return online purchases in store? I'm exercising that option. As if I purposely went in that day to make her life difficult and put that error message on her computer? Mind you, I was being very nice and very patient the whole time, as I would never be rude to a retail person. She was just rude for literally no reason. We even had to ASK her to call the manager to see if maybe they could help. Like....wouldn't you think to call the manager yourself in the first place, if there's something happening on the register that you don't understand? Common sense is not so common. Anyways, a manager eventually came and was much nicer and much more helpful. So that was appreciated. Although upon arriving home and calling customer service to make sure a refund was in process, I come to find out it wasn't. *eye roll*. Of course she was distraught and felt she was never going to find a dress. Well Dream put my daughter's mind at ease as she isn't a size 18 but a size 14! Bridal stores apparently have a much smaller sizing scale and Dream told her if she doesn't find anything else (in regular stores) to come back. The dress we truly liked for my daughter was a bit out of our price range and she didn't coerce us to buy, which is so refreshing. If you are looking for really nice plus size clothing that is not frumpy, this is a great place to start. Most items are very reasonable, prom dresses being as they are with all the bling are a bit pricier, but not ridiculous. Just wanted to let everyone know about this gem that's also run by a gem! I've already made three purchases and there is a sale on right now that tweaked my interest. Staff are very helpful to assist in finding the right size once I decided on a footwear style. The prices for accessories, handbags, wallets, plus men's and women's footwear is very reasonable ...and especially during a sale! Products wear and look great.
