Walmart store return policy update during COVID - 19
    Richard W.

Shame, shame, shame on you walmart!!!!! I'm extremely disappointed with their customer service! Due to covid - 19 for the past 2 yrs walmart store return policy has been changed. This is unacceptable by all means towards customers. This is a totally ridiculous excuse not to accept personal care items. I truly understand what walmart store policy is in terms of hygiene during the pandemic. I've just purchased a men's Braun electric shaver which I know that I've used. The electric shaver doesn't have enough power from the motor to give a clean shave. I've only used the electric shaver twice before heading to walmart customer service to return it for a full refund. The sales associate & customer service manager told me that it's final sale. No exchanges & refunds, I've asked for the store manager. I've waited for more than 10 mins, the sales associate had paged the store manager no show. The customer service manager had resolved my situation after speaking to the store manager. The end result was that they had made an exception to give me a full refund for the men's electric shaver. After 4 hours of charging the electric shaver it takes nearly more than 20 mins to get a clean shaved result. Braun products have a excellent reputation unfortunately their men's electric shavers don't hold up to what is advertised. Walmart this is definitely my first & last time you ever receive my support & business! I highly don't recommend this location!

To me, a Walmart in the heart of Mississauga is a necessity because there are so many condo towers nearby and a large department store that also sells grocery at a reasonable price is a necessity. Lots of free outdoor and covered parking is available including handicap parking. This store has been here for decades but it's well kept.

This Walmart? Too big? LOL! Surely you folks are joking. Go down to any of the superstores in the southern United States and then we'll talk. Those are the size of a medium industrial complex and can legitimately be seen as a place where you could survive for decades on your own inside - everything and the kitchen sink in there. This location is a minnow by comparison. I've always had a soft spot for the Square One Walmart - perhaps it's because it's been here almost as long as I've been alive. I remember visiting this place as a kid, and I'm unsure how long it was there before that. It's one of those landmark businesses in the city, and you're always sure to see it, if not visually, then by the massive traffic jams in and around the city centre almost every day as people flock to it. Never let it be said that people don't worship at the feet of their retail gods. This is almost always a zoo, filled with the standard burdens on society that you've come to know and love. Seniors flying by in the motorized scooters, wildebeests holding a child on each arm, overweight neckbeards with too much time on their hands... anytime you go to a Walmart, it's an exploration of the worst humanity has to offer. The fact that it can be accessed from a mall that is trying (TRYING) to be upscale only further highlights the discrepancy. There are some good things to love in here. Ever since they renovated, the McDonalds is a fantastic place to sit down and get a coffee - much more seating, nicer layout, the works. Likewise, I find the Walmart electronics section to be among the better ones I've visited, as the selection is better and aisles are a bit cleaner (especially compared to other locations like Dixie or Oak Park in Oakville). The grocery is hit-or-miss. There's definitely a lot of turnover on products due to being so busy, which is a good thing, but it's still wise to steer clear of produce. Lineups are either haphazard or slow due to a lack of oversight, and you can be certain that if you desperately want something, it will either be out of stock or none of the employees will know where it is. That said, I still like this location. It's undeniably convenient. Despite the issues, it has a fair amount of selection and the sale prices are usually great. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but keep your expectations in check.

    Must try... Atleast once

The store has taken over the entire space Rona used to be, making it incredibly large. With slight exaggeration, you could get 10k steps in just looking around. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

It's close to my house, small enough that I can navigate it quickly. I'm elderly. The store is fairly well stocked, except for housewares and women's plus sizes. It's clean, staff are friendly, great selection, fair pricing. I have never had a complaint until October 3, 2025. After waiting in line a while, I was served by ELLEN . We didn't get off to a great start. I handed her my winners bag to put my purchases in. She told me to bag it myself! I always help, just not when I'm ordered to. My total was about $215. I gave her cash, $220. In 11. $20bills. She counted it 3 times. I finally told her she needed basic math skills. No yelling, no swearing. She got all defensive and mouthed something rude. She then became overwhelmed and went to count it for the 4th time! . Finally a lady came over, told her to relax, breathe, and finished off the sale for ELEN. Ellen was a teenager, caucasion, long brown hair. I'd really like to know who thought this girl would be an asset and a good fit working a register and dealing with customers. I don't believe she had any training whatsoever. I was not impressed at all ( she had a small brain and a big mouth). October 5th, I was shopping again. ELEN was working cash. When it was my turn, I got Ellen. I don't think so, no way! I told the person behind me to go first. As I was being rung through by another cashier, a very nice one, I guess Ellen was finished her shift. She thought it would be cool to interrupt the sale, give the cashier a huge, fake hug, and discuss her work schedule. I was not impressed. It is then that I decided to write a review. I realized we all have to start somewhere, but why stick someone on cash that can't count? We are not a cashless society yet. Many teenagers would love to have a job in this economy, for extra spending money. This girl doesn't deserve this job. I think she should be retrained in cash and social skills, how to talk to a customer, especially elderly customers who grew up with manners. Maybe the stockroom or a factory is more up her ally. . Marshall's should be more careful who they hire to represent their store. If this is who they chose, I would hate to see who they rejected!!

They also come in a bunch of different sizes and are somewhat modular so you can mix and match based on your needs. They carry a toiletries brand called Public Goods that has a lot of no nonsense stuff that doesn't have a lot of additives in it and is refillable. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same.
