My rating is 3.5 stars…read more I like Gap and Old Navy. A lot of my wardrobe features pieces from these two stores. For a while now, I tend to shop at their outlet stores. It feels good to save money and get better deals than at their regular stores. My friend and I wandered over to Heartland Town Centre. We were originally at Vaughan Mills, but we couldn't find a parking spot. It reinforced the fact that I tend to avoid this mall like the plague on weekends. We saw this Old Navy outlet and decided to go in. My friend was looking for ankle socks. This store is huge. There were plenty of discounts. I enjoyed the summer themes that I saw. Watermelon and banana flip flops? Yes! Dress shirts with small pineapples on them? So cute! Ankle socks with sushi pieces everywhere? OMG, I am going to die swimming in all this adorableness! My friend got used to my looking at my e-mail to see whether there were discount codes that we could use at the checkout counter. I recommend signing up to be a part of Old Navy's mailing list. We got a 20% discount on our entire order. She thought that you could only get that discount online. Nope. Say your discount code loud and proud to your cashier. Feel good about saving even more than you had anticipated! It was busy at the store. However, there were plenty of cashiers. The line moved at a decent pace. Our cashier was competent and friendly. I nabbed a pretty decent parking spot in front of the store. Although it does get chaotic at times at Heartland, we got there at on Saturday 4 pm and left when most stores were shutting down at 7 pm. Like another reviewer said, this is a genuine outlet with over half their floor space devoted to mark-downs. Lots more selection for women, but that's the world of retail. I'll come back when I need something else, and they have pretty much any style you're looking for.

In the Heartland Outlet centre, you have a lot of choices of stores to go spend your money. Some…read moreof these stores are great as they're offering good deals and great service and others are just fake outlets with regular retail prices (points to Gap). Geox is the former. In most malls, Geox is a mid to high end brand that caters to the family. You can find men's business shoes, women's heels and flats, and kid shoes of all kinds (boots, running shoes, and formal dressier shoes). Often they're priced at $80++ for the kids shoes! but at this outlet, you can find deals galore and also a wide range of sizes. There's two parts to this outlet, the front section is just like the regular retail store. It shares the same current season offerings at regular price point. Sometimes you'll find a 'door crasher' in the centre upfront where some awesome deals can be found. The outlet area takes up about 60% of the floor space in the back. There you find relatively current (last seasons) items at 40 to 75% off the retail price. Often during the end of season sales, you'll have a greater reduction on those outlet shoes. I've gotten pair of shoes for 85% off at times or buy 2 and get a further 25% off! Considering these shoes are very well made and with great soft leathers, it's a steal to get them at those prices. I really also like the service. There's always at least 2 to 3 people here and they're constantly asking if you need help but not in an intrusive way. If you say you're fine, they back off but once you ask, they're always on the look out for you for alternative sizes and styles. Overall, I think it's one of the few places in Heartland that offer great shoe deals with good selection and a high quality product without feeling you're at a bargin bin store. As long as they keep up with the great season end deals (85% off!), I'll keep coming back.

One a couple shirts, buttons fell off after only a few washes. On another shirt, the button was sewn on securely, but incorrectly. That's fine, in that you'd never really notice unless looking closely, but it speaks to the inconsistency and lack of quality control. A lot of the negative reviews are very negative due to quality or service issues. I think, if you keep in mind that you're getting mediocre quality and mediocre service, you can get very good deals here, but you have to understand that quality and service are both going to be hit or miss.
