    Chatime at Hillcrest mall

Oh c'mon guys, Hillcrest is worth more than 3 stars on average now...isn't it? I have so many fond memories of Hillcrest as a child. Despite its small size and lack of (good) quality stores, it's the perfect place for a last minute gift, returning merchandise from downtown, or grabbing lunch on a lazy Sunday afternoon. In recent years Hillcrest switched ownership from Cadillac Fairview to Oxford and went from being on its deathbed to really up and coming! I saw many stores shut their doors for lack of sales at Hillcrest...the interior was looking old...it just wasn't what it used to be. Fast forward to today, there's 2 new wings opened, many renovations, 3 new anchor tenants AND a Chatime! Hillcrest has great names now like Sephora, The Bay, Browns Shoes, Sportinglife, Aritzia and now a Marshall's too. There's still a few spots left for more stores which I am sure they will be adding in the next few months. What do they need? Maybe a "Concept" area like Yorkdale. And perhaps a few higher end stores like Club Monaco and COS. I'm intrigued to see what will happen to Hillcrest in the coming years! #HillcrestGlowUp

This mall is located at Yonge and 16th avenue in Richmond Hill, Ontario - just north of Toronto and used to be a very small tiny mall. In the last couple of years, the mall has really expanded, from their H&M to Hudson's Bay being completely renovated. There's also a shoppers inside the mall, a GoodLife fitness, Sporting Life, SportChek, and more! During this holiday season, there is a Santa Claus in the mall, check for hours of operation. I love the Roots in here but I noticed recently the Hallmark is gone and has turned into a Japanese store. Entrances also have automatic doors which are very nice. Markville Mall, for example, still has yet to renovate and get automatic doors everywhere. Overall 4/5

I don't mind Hillcrest Mall. It is a smaller mall that has the stores that I need to visit. I am often there for Teavana, Body Shop, the Bay (known as Hudson's Bay these days), Showcase, Purdy's, and Bourbon Street Grill. Sephora recently opened. I love it! It's nice to visit a smaller mall. You can access the stores faster without consulting a directory map and attempting to decipher it. Folks are always friendly to me. The salesperson at Reitman's helped me look for my exact size in the sales rack at the back of the store! The mall had plenty of places to sit down if you've done a ton of shopping. It also offers free wifi. There are tons of renovations happening. It was a bit confusing getting around the parking lot, as the lines seem to change monthly. However, I will continue visiting this mall and will likely increase my star rating once David's Tea is open. Think positive, folks!

Hillcrest Mall is a little boring.... but there is nothing really in the area that can be consider as a "Mall", the closest one to the West is Promenade and to the East is Markville. Clean enough... I usually end up never buy anything here?! It maybe a good if I want to save money, just want to walk around and exercise a little on a cold winter day. York Region Police also has a community outreach and vehicle accident reporting facilities in the mall, which I would rather not utilize. There is a Panera Bread in the Parking lot which I visit quite a bit to meet up with my friend. Plenty of Parking!! Bring your car!

Poorly cooked tofu from Thai express! Definitely not going to eat from there again. Going to stick to Thai Express Vogell dr

It's been many years since we've been in the Promenade, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise that we barely recognized it as a lot has changed. We stopped by in the early afternoon on a Friday. My sister and I met my cousin at Tim Hortons in the food court. While my cousin and I both enjoyed a beverage and a donut at Tim Hortons, my sister instead opted for Yogenfruz. My sister later had lunch at Sushi-Q while I chose Feta & Olives. We were surprised a number of the food vendors were closed on a weekday afternoon. We then stopped in Roots, Dollarama, and Olive Branch. There were certainly a variety of different vendors, and it was fun to learn there was now a pickleball place in the Promenade. The Promenade has a Guest Services team that staff the counter located at the Bathurst Street Main Entrance. The mall also offers free Wi-Fi, complimentary wheel chairs, access to SmarteCarte Self-Serve strollers, and family parking options at each of their main entrances with parking options for expectant mothers and parents with young children. The hours at the mall are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. There are holiday hours published for Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The Promenade also has special events like free treats on Halloween (this Friday), the Haunted Carnevil from Halloween for three days, and an Autism fundraising night at the St. Louis Bar & Grill throughout half of October and November. I was parked closer to the elevators to World Shops and decided to check them out. Underground parking is free. I saw parking machines to pay for parking that were wrapped up. I'm assuming that either you had to pay for parking in the past or there are thoughts of making folks pay up down the road. What I love about the majority of doors at World Shops, from the three sets of doors at the underground parking to get to and from the elevators, to the washrooms, are the wave sensors. You wave your hand in front of the sensor and the door magically opens in front of you. Try that on small children who will think that you are a magician! It's perfect during a pandemic. No contact. Less risk. Sadly, you do need to press the button to get an elevator to take you to the two other floors of World Shops. There are hand sanitizer dispensers that have motion sensors if you need them. World Shops tends to have more health and financial businesses than anything else. Some health services include a medical centre, a dental clinic, an optometry office, and an endocrinology and diabetes centre. There's an RBC and a few accounting businesses. I walked by a computer store that was closed just before 5 pm. The only retail sign of life was a hair salon. A man was cleaning the glass. I did manage to pass by another shopper who was browsing, so that was nice. It was pretty quiet. I used the women's washroom. It was clean. Frankly, World Shops is impeccably clean. For most shoppers, Shops on Yonge is far more interesting, including a food court and a grocery store that occupies the entire first floor. World Shops offers more specialized services. For most shoppers, Shops on Yonge is far more interesting, including a food court and a grocery store that occupies the entire first floor. World Shops offers more specialized services. There is a skywalk between World Shops and Shops on Yonge. There aren't any wave sensors to open the doors. It is convenient when the weather isn't ideal and you'd rather stay indoors when moving between the two areas. I enjoyed browsing around World Shops. If I do need any medical or financial assistance, I know where to go. (289)
