LOVE this shop filled with Japanese goodies: housewares, cleaning supplies, snacks, stationery, collectibles/toys, and cosmetics. It's got everything to make life easier and more joyful! Enjoy discovering new houseware items that make cleaning or organizing easier. Pricing is affordable. Staff are friendly and helpful! Part of First Markham Place, it's a busy area, but there is lots of parking available. Follow their Instagram account for latest updates, and special events!

Absolutely love Oomomo! I can never leave without getting something. The store is pretty big. Layout is nice and beautiful, products are organized. They have various departments like cosmetics, kitchenware, cleaning, arts & crafts, party & decor, food and snacks etc. Majority of their stuff are made in Japan which is my favorite and depending on what you're shopping for the prices are pretty reasonable. If I can't go to Japan, I'll make sure Japan comes to me. I came here looking to get some kitchenware. Ended up purchasing two bowls and a bag of cookies. Highly recommend shopping here.

I love coming to Oomomo. I always leave with something, even when I don't really need it. They sell everything you can imagine. The place is big and it's always busy, especially on the weekends. They have a lot of Japanese products at very affordable pricing. I made my toddler a cake for her birthday, and needed a cake box to bring it over to my in laws. Of course, Oomomo sells cake boxes. Perfect fit and size too. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

This store is almost like our version of Daiso. This huge store has a plethora of products. It starts off with cosmetics, skincare, and hair accessories on the right when you enter. There's also kitchen and housewares, organizers, stationery, a toy section with popular anime, Asian snacks and beverages, and generally lots of products that you don't really need but are there and not expensive. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program to earn points.

Great massive 'low dollar' store that offers a multitude of practical products in fun designs. Its organized into main categories, is very well maintained and decently stocked. Also features limited affordable authentic licensed Disney, Sanrio & Star Wars products. This location also allows online ordering and pickup. Chain offers a membership program for special offers. On the' down-side' I was advised by the cashier that they will no longer accept a digital version of your membership number, so now you must bring the physical card when shopping. Our first time at this store and it's cute with tons of stuff but since we don't live in Markham, we really don't need a lot of the stuff they offer. Tons and tons of stuff to look at from face mask to gardening to arts and crafts to kitchenware. Prices are not cheap though but you can find lots of cool Japanese essentials and more.

Love Oomomo; I always make a stop by when I'm at First Markham Place. Too bad all their gardening stuff is a bit skimpy this time of the year, maybe because it's the dead of winter. I usually love to come here for their large white nursery pots (10+ inches) that I can use to line my decorative pots. They're only $4 bucks. They don't have any this time. In fact, all the pots are wiped out. However, I did find a sturdy little stool for around $12. A bit more than Canadian Tire, but I find this one to be sturdier and it comes with a handle. Another golden find is surprisingly this random pen eyeliner I picked up for $5 or less. Not expecting much, but the pen lasts longer than my popular Heroine branded eyeliner I got from Japan, and the longevity of wear is about the same. Anyways, I love it here for office supplies too; I got a cute elephant stapler. They have every sort of container here that you can even think of, and I found a perfect sized bottle rack that fits my rectangle Lechuza planter as a nursery pot liner.

This was described to me as a Japanese dollar store so my immediate thought was that it would be similar to Daiso. There are already quite a few of these Asian home goods stores including One's Better Living and Miniso. First impressions upon walking in...this place is gigantic! They have merch organized by types of goods ranging from kitchen stuffs, gardening, stationery, to an entire section just for organization. The prices aren't quite $1 cheap but they are very good in some departments. I was impressed that they had clear umbrellas here for only $3 a piece! Their skincare, while they carry great Korean brands, are far from that dollar store vibe. A friend that introduced us to this store said that the masks here are the best deal. I saw that you can order online and pick up in store. They have a special section that helps customers with their pick-up orders. I can imagine that you'd spend a lot of time browsing in here, so there are restrooms. On the day that we were there, they were closed and not open to customers.

The name always throws me off because I think of Woodside Square in Scarborough. Anyway, it's next door to Kitchen Stuff Plus, which is highly convenient. This Winners isn't my favourite. It makes sense to me why I haven't got around to doing a review until now. It's not a horrible store. I find that the selection is either spot on or disappointing, depending on what I need. Over a decade ago, when I worked for a company in Scarborough, it was hosting its first user symposium. I played a few roles, including updating our corporate Web site with photos and information about the event. I needed business clothes. My friend and I came to this Winners to get some decent apparel. This store holds my personal record for spending the most time at a Winners during a single visit. We spent two hours looking at and trying on blazers, blouses, and pants. I ended up buying a blazer and a blouse. The blazer still works and has stood the test of time. I have since worn it numerous times for various job interviews. It's kind of my lucky blazer. Sadly, the blouse didn't last as long as the blazer. I recently went back to this store to check it out. I was here for one thing: a PopSocket. A couple of weeks ago, I got a new phone case for my new phone. I needed a new PopSocket, as I might as well go with this new streak. I came here last Wednesday after running a number of errands. There is always plenty of parking. I parked fairly close to the store and walked in. A friendly guy was manning a hand sanitizer station. He was great. I said hi and walked in. Purses greeted me next. Sadly, there wasn't a single Kipling bag for me to gush over. I was sad. I like that most Winners stores have similar layouts. I immediately found the phone accessories section, which is right by the checkout. There were lots of PopSocket designs to choose from. I was happy and selected the one that won my heart. I avoided the shoe section. I don't need more shoes! The selection of women's size 11 footwear is also hit or miss. It's all about timing. The store's interior is much more inviting than I recall. Aisles are wider. The lighting is better. I liked the improvements since I was last here. I paid using a debit card. There wasn't a lineup at 7 pm on a Wednesday night. I got my TJX Style+ card scanned, too. I thanked the woman and left. Here's hoping that it offers Kipling bags soon. It's a good Winners. It's just not my favourite out of the three in Markham, but it had what I needed during this visit. (429)

This store is in a plaza where you need to pay attention to drivers who don't check their blindspots. I pulled into this parking lot at around 6 pm. I had to honk at a car that felt like backing out without checking a thing. When I left, a similar situation happened with another car. I already felt that this wouldn't be a store that I'd frequent often if I am fearing for my life trying to find a parking spot. Anyway, I backed into a spot across from the main entrance. I walked in. It does feel like the IGA that I used to frequent. It simply has Dollarama merchandise. There was lots of Easter merchandise. From chocolate Easter bunnies, to baskets for your treats, you can find everything here. One of the few items that you can get for $1 are one-litre bottles of Pepsi. There were many when I was there. If you are looking for mason jars, this store has cases of them. The catch is that they aren't wide-mouth jars. Rather, they have bottlenecks. If you're looking for the former, you're out of luck. I liked the colourful planters at this store. You can do some cool gardening and save some money by getting your supplies at this store. You can get seeds and soil. Done! This store does not have any self-checkout kiosks. I lined up at the checkout area that moved fairly well. There was one person doing everything. He was pleasant. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I grabbed my items, wished him a great evening, and left. It's a decent store. Poor drivers backing out of parking spots that scare me. (134)

Out of convenience the bride thought it would be nice to get custom dresses for all her bridesmaids. Since we came in all sizes, she had ordered custom dresses for us from here. There are 5 bridesmaids. It wasn't cheap, each dress cost over $120. I was highly disappointed to find out that they can't do a good job with their "custom made" dresses. Not only the workmanship and quality was poor, but also their service. We got some serious attitude when requested changes were were of their fault and clearly part of the agreement. At the first fitting (pre-fitting), 3 of 5 dresses did not fit. The dresses came out too small. The bridesmaids couldn't have gained that much weight considering we were measured with our winter clothes on. The colour of the fabric was off too. It came out much darker than expected - fine we can live with that. The fabric was too thin to hold up the design - what else can we do now? The zipper of choice was hideous - with poor workmanship it shows through. Stitching was a disaster on several dresses. Seams were rippling when they should be as smooth as silk. The length was much longer than we had requested on all the dresses. By the end of the fitting, there was much to fix. We had requested to fix the measurements of the dresses, the length, remove the straps, minor pinning, fix the poor stitching and re-center the bows. They agreed to make the changes and told us to return 2-3 weeks before the wedding so our measurements would be less likely to change and because the agreement includes only 1 alteration. Before the lady had agreed, she had seriously offended some bridesmaids. You know how sensitive women are with their weights. You never call them "meaty" or "fat". We came out worried. Second fitting (actual fitting), months pass, we came back to try the dresses, 2 of 5 dresses could not fit. Yay! one of us "lost" weight. The same issues as before, with the poor stitching, length, centering of bows, removing straps, etc. all the little details that makes a nice dress. The lady hesitantly agreed to change the length, fix the poor stitching, and fix dimensions only after 30 minutes of argument. It's a custom made dress after all, should it not fit me? Yay! Time to pick up the dresses! To our "surprise" they had forgotten to fix the pinning, did not loosen or fix the size of one dress, did not remove the straps as requested, did not fix the ugly zippers... basically every dress had something left unfinished. The lady told us, "you can pin that yourself, "we can't loosen the dress, otherwise the dress will fall off", "just cut off the straps yourself, it's easy", "the zipper is supposed to be like that"... At this point I was done arguing trying to make my point for them to fix these problems. We took the dresses and walked out. I resorted to my own sewing skills to fix all the "minor" issues left at hand, and I requested the help of my mother (who is an amazing seamstress) to fix my friend's dress who was suffocating in her dress. And this was the tiniest bridesmaid in the group that has been dieting for months thinking she was "too fat" for her dress. Unless you want to be insulted, left with an unfinished and unsatisfactory dress, save your time and effort, go elsewhere.
