Instead, I backed into a parking spot between the grocery store and K-Beauty Outlet. This outlet store intrigued me. It takes up half the building that was Caynes Housewares. I do miss Caynes. It was different checking out half of it as a Korean beauty store. I stepped through the door. I was instantly welcomed by a woman. I saw lemon kombucha. The woman let me know that it was 50% off. Wow! The special offers are by the door. However, you can find discounts throughout the place. There were a bunch of cute socks. The problem is that I have big feet. The largest size for women was a size 9. If you have small to average feet for a woman, you'll be fine with the sock line. I like that this store has tester products. I tried a tester MediFlower hand cream. It was lightly scented with floral notes. It absorbed quickly and didn't leave any sticky residue. Sold! There was foundation in a compact as a tester. Frankly, I wouldn't use that tester, but I did open it up to check out the foundation colour. There were a lot fo facial masks to try, from snail musin, to dark spot serum. You can get a pack of five masks in a box. Alternatively, if you aren't ready to commit, you can get individual facial masks to try out. I saw bottles of nail polish that looked good. However, I found nail wraps for $1 a set that were more my style. What a steal! The woman who greeted me helped with my checkout process. My goodies were just over $23, which seemed insane for a box of ten individual servings of kombucha, a set of five floral hand creams, and three nail wraps. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. The woman put my items in a paper bag. She then gave me a bunch of samples that I still haven't looked closely at. I look forward to trying my goodies out. I like the hand cream so far. I may head back to get another set. They are great to gift. This store was awesome. I'm glad that I stopped by to check it out. (140)

I had dry and damaged hair for years using head and shoulders. They recommended me to use their HC hair and beard shampoo alongside with this pureology conditioner and that's really helped me recover my damaged hair. I cannot express my appreciation of how much they've helped me revive my hair. They thoroughly explained how to effectively use it and see results I wanted for years. That's service you can't get at your local drug store. The prices are average and relatively the same. However the quality of products and service cannot be found anywhere. Once they explained to me all the different hair colours and their purposes to dye my hair even though I didn't end up purchasing anything (attached photos). Overall great experience and I recommend this beauty supply in the area. Hats off to them and their patience with every customer, including myself haha. Maybe it was just that they were restocking, but it took a while to flag down an associate and ask if they had what I was looking for. All-in-all, a decent place with a good array of goods, but I would say that the layout/organization of the place could be better - especially given that there was product laying all over the floor when I was there.

I know I had seen an Asian health and beauty store at First Markham place. Apparently Beauty Garden has been open at this location for 5 months. They also have another location at Pacific Mall. The store employee was very helpful in directing me to the eyeliner section, and was patient at explaining the difference between various brands of similar looking liquid eyeliner. I was able to find my product of choice which retails there for $20 (tax included). Expensive, I know, but worth it considering I use it everyday and it is one of the few eyeliners that applies smoothly but resists smudging despite my oily skin and wears all day. Beauty Garden sells a variety of products including false eyelashes, various eyebrow cosmetics, hair care and colouring products, feminine hygiene products, as well as Asian brands of incontinence products. The majority of their products are imported from Korea and Japan, including popular facial sheet masks and skin care masks. They currently have a special on those masks: 5 boxes for $100. Beauty Garden has a fairly limited selection. I have seen some similar stores at Pacific Mall that have more variety and that carry more premium products. As for me, I was just happy to find my eyeliner at First Markham Place to save me a trip to Pacific Mall where finding parking is often a much bigger hassle.

This store often has good deals on produce and various items, better than many other grocery stores Service is generally good. I remember one cashier in particular who was super helpful, and made sure I had the bags I needed etc. One thing that could be improved is the rain checks system. Getting a rain check for items they've run out of takes quite a long time, which is unfortunate.
