I thought that I could get some lemon juice. Nope! I was pleased to see ramen, though. The storage containers for food are great. I'd come back just for them. Right now, there's a lot of Christmas merchandise. I also like the decent assortment of cards, bows, and gift bags that you can get here. It was fun to browse before picking up my dinner order. Their recommendations were thoughtful, their patience was remarkable, and they made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. It is rare these days to encounter customer service of this caliber. Antonia and Yana demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, and a sincere desire to help customers. One2Ten is basically a dollar store but merchandise ranges anywhere from $1 to $10. It kind of reminded me of a smaller version of Party City which is across the street. They sell lots of random things, ranging from: seasonal products, candy, party supplies, toys, and little gadgets. The woman working during our visit was friendly and also gave us a grand opening coupon. I wouldn't have bought anything but the coupon was a pretty good deal. The coupon stated that if you spent $10 or more you would get $5 off. I ended up getting a bunch of Christmas gifting supplies to use this month and next year. In fact, most Dollarama's feel claustrophobic to me with their sky-high shelves. The atmosphere, is similar to Walmart on a non-lockdown weekend, uber rude workers/customers. I can never find anything in there! Anyway, Dollar Tree is a more "independent" dollar store. There aren't that many locations. This one is in that cluster Smart Centre at Winston Churchill/Argentia, right beside Winners. There's also a Dollarama in this area, so make sure you're at the right one! In comparison to Dollarama, the lighting is not as bright and merch is a bit more tightly packed, BUT they do not have merchandise stacked as high as the ceiling. Young kids are usually working at this one and they seem friendly. It has never been too bustling the times that I've been here. Maybe people don't realise that they're still open? Plus, 90% of the stores are closed in this complex. I only come here when I'm in the area for Covered Bridge chips which are next-to-impossible to find. The package is slightly smaller than the full pack, but it's like $1.25/bag! Cannot go wrong. Scotch tape was also incredibly cheap, much better price than Walmart! Good place to check out if you're here and looking for some staples.

This eatery was located at Meadowvale Town Centre, which is a mixed indoor-outdoor mall. Swiss Chalet isn't connected to the indoor mall. It makes sense, as this eatery stays open well past the mall's closing time. Next door to Swiss Chalet is Jersey Mike's Subs. Technically, it is a part of the indoor part of the mall. However, when you're in the mall itself, it says to come outside to enter the eatery. It's probably not the best setup when it's frigid outside, which was the case when I visited. However, when it's warm, walking outdoors isn't as taxing. I checked out Your Dollar Store with More. It's only accessible inside the mall. It's a decent dollar store. It doesn't have as many food items and snacks as I had hoped, though. I saw Metro while I was at the mall. It's accessible from the mall and externally. I had no problem finding parking. I will say that some folks trying to park are scary. Take care when you're here, as both a driver and a pedestrian. This mall does have bus terminal, which is helpful if you are getting to and from this mall using public transit. There are a lot of eateries here that I need to explore. The downside to a mixed indoor-outdoor mall is figuring out what stores you want to visit, and whether they are indoors or outdoors. If you're driving, you need to figure out where you should park to access the stores that you need. (482)

My quick history at this place: -Old school mall similar to Dixie Outlet mall with locally owned stores with Woolco, Dominion and a few banks. -Wal-Mart moved in to replace Woolco. Business improved at this mall (was a much better anchor store than Woolco). -Wal-Mart moved out without an anchor store and foot traffic decreased (this is in contrast to the belief that Wal-Mart doesn't help small businesses). -After Wal-Mart moved out, most of the mall was demolished with the exception of the side where Dominion sat (now called Metro) and also has a library, a couple of clothing shops . -This was replaced by an outdoor mall which now has plenty of restaurants, a Goodlife Fitness. Tim Hortons, etc. My overall verdict here: You don't shop here, you just eat here. If you are in the area, just come to this mall, and there should be plenty of things to eat. I particularly like Symposium Cafe and Pho Mi 89.

The outrage that I had was unexpected! I did a search and found this one in Mississauga. It didn't take long to get here from downtown Oakville. It was around ten minutes. I pulled into Millway Shopping Centre (it's really a plaza) and didn't have a problem finding a parking spot. I backed into one and headed over to the store. There was a female panhandler in front of the store that was asking for money. It was my second time being asked for change in front of a Giant Tiger. The problem is that I don't carry change with me, especially during a pandemic when I pay using either a credit or debit card. I told her that detail and walked into the store. I like that there's a greeter at the store when you walk in these days. It's twofold. It's to make sure that the store doesn't exceed the maximum capacity of folks shopping. It is also to check that you're wearing a mask. She was nice and said hi. I reciprocated. My goal was to get avocados and celery. I achieved it with flying colours. There were two displays of avocados. One display had ripe ones. The other one wasn't as ripe. I always get the six-pack of avocados and they are cheap at under $3. I saw a woman taking celery out of a box and putting them into the produce section. I asked if she could hand me a couple from the box. She was great and handed them over to me. They were so fresh. I felt so VIP with my celery! Although I haven't done much shoe browsing during this pandemic, I loved the sneakers here. Sadly, they offer women's shoe sizes from 6 to 9. Such a bummer for someone who swears a size 11! I haven't seen Squishmallows at Giant Tiger stores in months. It was the case at this store. Instead, I looked at larger baby Yoda plushies. I had enough willpower to not buy one. There wasn't a huge lineup at the checkout. I had a nice woman help cash me out. I decided to finally sign up for GT VIP mailing list and took a leaflet on how to do it. She was nice. I paid, got my goodies, and wished her a good day. I realize that this visit was my first at any Giant Tiger in Mississauga. I tend to visit GT stores in Etobicoke, Scarborough, and Stouffville the most. They only had about 6 pairs of black snow pants hanging on a rack with minimal sizing this time - I guess people had the same idea as me and beat me to it. I grabbed a pair that were a bit larger for me but could be tied. For the amount i'd use them - $30 seemed fine? They were shiny in the material and basically looked like i was wearing garbage bags but - it's fine. I roamed to the mens side of things and ended up trying on a smaller mens size with a more muted black material - winner! They were also $5 cheaper than the woman's - score! Are they flattering? NO.
