When I went to check out, there was no line up of people waiting to go to the cashier except a few at a self-check out line. I went in front of a cashier (was told by staff that she is the owner/manager). I stood there for at least 10 min. She said nothing and finally, I asked why she did not say anything but kept her customer waiting. She very rudely said that she did not call "next in line" when there was no one waiting for next in line except me. I told her she needs to say something to her customer and not wait for your customer to stand waiting. She yelled back that I am unreasonable when I am trying to tell her that it's good customer service to be polite and explain clearly what she wants the customer to know. She challenged me to lodge a complaint and said she is not afraid even if I sent one to her head office. I have been a regular customer at this store and this will be my last time here. It is no wonder that the review rating is only 2.8 out of 5.

This large brightly lit store is part of Mississauga Marketplace; a large property of stores grouped together all with outdoor entrances and plenty of free parking. Gone are Toys R Us and Swiss Chalet but Dollarama sprung up! Every wall and aisle is loaded with products. Dollarama is no longer what it used to be....that is things for a dollar. Prices are varied and there are more 2 for...etc. A quick checkout process and I was back outside social distancing with myself. I was killing time waiting for my Swiss Chalet takeout order to be ready. I noticed that Meadowvale Town Centre featured Your Dollar Store with More. I had to check it out. This dollar store is huge! I liked seeing turkey hats, a ton of gnome items, ramen, and more. The grocery section is limited. It's not much if you are used to shopping at Dollar Tree or Dollarama. I thought that I could get some lemon juice. Nope! I was pleased to see ramen, though. The storage containers for food are great. I'd come back just for them. Right now, there's a lot of Christmas merchandise. I also like the decent assortment of cards, bows, and gift bags that you can get here. It was fun to browse before picking up my dinner order. After checking out and removing my bag off of the counter the cash register said have a good day- as I was about to respond to her I heard her say "FUCKING BITCH". I guess she assumed I was not going to hear her behind her mask. however I heard her loud and clear. I spoke with the assistant manager and she was no help. I have never received such poor customer service anywhere. please take my advise and shop at a different location.

In fact, most Dollarama's feel claustrophobic to me with their sky-high shelves. The atmosphere, is similar to Walmart on a non-lockdown weekend, uber rude workers/customers. I can never find anything in there! Anyway, Dollar Tree is a more "independent" dollar store. There aren't that many locations. This one is in that cluster Smart Centre at Winston Churchill/Argentia, right beside Winners. There's also a Dollarama in this area, so make sure you're at the right one! In comparison to Dollarama, the lighting is not as bright and merch is a bit more tightly packed, BUT they do not have merchandise stacked as high as the ceiling. Young kids are usually working at this one and they seem friendly. It has never been too bustling the times that I've been here. Maybe people don't realise that they're still open? Plus, 90% of the stores are closed in this complex. I only come here when I'm in the area for Covered Bridge chips which are next-to-impossible to find. The package is slightly smaller than the full pack, but it's like $1.25/bag! Cannot go wrong. Scotch tape was also incredibly cheap, much better price than Walmart! Good place to check out if you're here and looking for some staples.
