The store is kept reasonably clean and tidy considering how busy it gets, especially around lunch hour. The self-checkout machines keep the line moving quickly, which is a huge plus. Staff have been genuinely helpful on my visits too. Sure, some products are hit or miss on quality, but at these prices, you really can't complain. Solid value, highly recommend.

Almost always can find what I'm looking for and they have a decent "home goods" section. We found a bunch of cool and random stuff here to decorate our little apartment balcony this summer - sweet! Some of my fave items to purchase include shower curtain liners, kitchen/bathroom cleaners, Halloween costumes/accessories, picture frames, and Christmas decor. Love to come here to grab gift wrap for presents as well - they have a huge selection. Yay to the dollar store!

There is a good selection of toys, but not as great as some others. That said, there are unique items I haven't found. Large, roomy, and well lit - this is a fantastic Dollarama to move around in. And since they started carrying graphic novels, it scratches that literary itch too!

Last Saturday, I was at Square One. After having picked up an order at Torrid, I was about to leave…read morethe mall. I saw this Dollarama. It occurred to me that I needed to pick up some items here. I checked out this store. I normally don't go to a Dollarama at a mall. Chances are that it will be more crowded than going to a standalone store. I was right. This store is by mall entrance 9. You take the elevator down to the store. There's also an elevator if you need one. This store was pretty busy. I liked what it had to offer. Pepsi products greeted me. I liked the Mickey Mouse set with a whisk, towel, and spatula. It was cheerful and cute. The ice cube trays were cool. I liked the larger cube moulds. They were bright and had silicone at the bottom of each cube, allowing you to easily pop cubes out for your refreshments. The snacks and drinks aisles were impressive. I liked the variety. The chip selection was excellent. I came here for pasta sauce and macaroni. I found everything that I needed. I headed to the cashout area. There was one human cashier. There were roughly eight self-checkout kiosks there. I used the latter. It's hit or miss using one at Dollarama. Sometimes, it's smooth sailing. Other times, it seems to want to give me a hard time. Luckily, I was able to scan my two items and pay without any issues. I didn't buy a lot. I had parked a good distance away from this store, so carrying them wasn't an issue. If I had made a larger purchase, I wouldn't have been as happy lugging everything that far away. It's a good store. It's convenient if you are at the mall and need something. I still like hitting standalone Dollarama stores that aren't as crowded as this one. (47)

A store that seems to cater more to adult shoppers than those who are in middle school, high school, or college/university students. Even during the Christmas season it had a lot of different items that I didn't find in other locations, hallmark lines of cards that are normally somewhat higher priced for a buck plus tax, nice cards from their Christmas selection for my aunts and Canadian nieces that were not offered in prior years, quick and attentive customer service when self check-out messed up. More than worthy of a 5 star review; this one is not by quite a bit closest to my home but this less than three year old location is a fine experience, especially if you're just picking up a few things after going to the George H. Locke library just southeast of there. Definitely a visit especially with being a large location right on Yonge Street, with the cost of real estate skyrocketing.

Everything was grouped together really well. All of the kitchen, general household, and bathroom cleaning supplies were all in one big aisle along the right wall. They always seemed to have a few options for each item even things like disposal vinyl gloves, toilet bowl scrubbers, and mop systems. I was happy to see that they carry a limited selection of Scrub Daddy products. These were $4 each which is a little cheaper than what other stores are charging. When I went to checkout, the cashier was very pleasant. I was in and out of there within 5 minutes. My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when I looked at how much the prices were for canned tuna. The cheapest can was going for $4.40. Um, no. I need cheaper. I remembered that this Dollarama store was in the same plaza. I'd try my luck for canned tuna here. I frankly don't know why it took me so long to visit this store. I am in this plaza for Kettleman's Bagels and Farm Boy. I can add this store to the mix. This Dollarama is probably the largest one that I've ever been to. It was spacious and inviting. Halloween and Fall decor merchandise hit me when I first walked through the doors. I was on a mission to get canned tuna, so I walked the food, beverage, and candy aisles. They were easy to find and nicely organized. I found my cans of tuna. $1.25 for a can was definitely better than what I saw at Farm Boy. I saw Pasta Roni next to the canned tuna section. It intrigued me. Too bad I didn't see Rice a Roni. I would have freaked out even more by belting out the jingle. The beverages at this store were great. I saw everything from Gatorade to kombucha. This store has Bai and a huge assortment of pop, too. I need to return and try Ocean Spray's diet cranberry. It was my first time spotting it. I had a competent, friendly man at the checkout. He was relaxed and nice. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I had a reusable bag with me. I stuffed it with my purchases, thanked the man, and headed to my car. The canned tuna worked out well for the two recipes that I had. Save some money by getting your canned goods here. I'm so glad that I dropped by. I'll be back. (447)
