Every aisle is blocked with merchandise that needs to be put on the shelf, only one cashier but invariably multiple other employees milling around, in and out of the office. Literally cardboard boxes and merchandise spilled all over the floor. I saw an entire candy display spilled all over the aisle and customers just rolling carts and walking all over the candy. It's actually so bad it's kinda funny and I keep going back in to see how much worse it can get. I've seen houses on Hoarders more clean and organized than this store.

For instance, last Saturday my daughter, just prior to attending a graduation party, found a graduation card there, obviating the need to stop again to buy a card. That could not have been more serendipitous. Okay, okay. Imagine a thrift store and an antique store got married and had a baby. Serendipity? But, of course. You won't find clothing, as a rule. Not saying never, but Amvets and Buffalo City Mission have clothes. At Serendipity you will find collectibles of myriad types, books, jewelry, lamps, dinnerware, pottery, home décor, eclectic gifts. Perhaps a hat. Possibly a shawl. Books are nicely shelved and categorized. Every other thrift store I have been in could take a lesson. The store requires bag check-ins when you enter, and the store is laid out in such a way that it feels like a maze....I'm assuming to make it difficult for a shoplifter to bolt from the store easily. Decent prices on bottled water and in the snack food sections, perfect for a snack run if I'm not hungry for Subway or another dinner. Being the only real local store to that area, it's BUSY most of the time, but the cashiers work their hardest to keep up with the traffic in the store. Definitely will return, since it's so convenient if I have a lengthy connection time, and sometimes if I'm in a hurry.

The cheapest ones they sold were $4 and they felt VERY rough. Laundry baskets cost $7, dish racks cost $10, odor eliminators cost the same as Wegmans charges. The store is set up in a very strange fashion. There is a blockage right when you walk into the store, so the entire place feels like you are trapped, it's very tight. There is a sign on the front door that says you need to leave your purses at the cash register before you begin to shop around. That'll never happen, I'm not a fan of that rule and therefore have never obliged. My purse is mine, thanks. Ultimately, I did not see any good deals here that would make me want to come back.

We recently tried them again and was happy with the food. Well, that was short lived. The last three times we've placed an order online it hasn't even been started by the time they said it would be ready and we have to wait. In addition to that, it has been totally wrong with missing items each time. It happened again this morning, our order was missing two orders of hash browns. I called the listed number in an attempt to get a refund (because this is the third time and it's adding up) and it's off the hook, busy signal. This isn't new. The kitchen literally takes the phone receiver off the cradle so that they won't receive phone orders. My husband has witnessed it in person. Apparently they don't want to cook. Since the renovation the phone is digital, but they still turn it off. This has been happening since the new owner took over and he won't do anything about it. This is strange to me. Doesn't he want business? Anyways, sorry for the long review. We can't get food here anymore (again) because times are rough (again again) and I'm not going to buy from a shop that won't refund for wrongly prepared or even completely missing items.
