The store itself is pretty spacious and well organized. It's not super fancy or anything, but it's clean and easy to navigate, which I liked. They have a mix of everything (clothes, home stuff, snacks, random finds) so you can just walk around and browse for a while. What really stood out to me was how many dupes they had. I had seen a video online highlighting all the cool things they sell at Giant Tiger and so I was influenced to go check it out. However, I wasn't expecting to see so many cool items. There were so many items that reminded me of more expensive brands, but for way cheaper! Prices overall are really reasonable, and you can definitely find some solid stuff if you take your time looking around. It's one of those places where you go in for one thing and end up finding a bunch of random things you didn't even know you needed. The staff were also so nice and useful in helping me find items around the store! Overall, I had a really good first experience. I'd definitely go back again just to see what else I can find.

I got a pig-shaped breakfast mould for making pancakes and eggs. It was $2 and I wanted to give it a try. I also got an ice cube tray where the cubes are pineapple-shaped. It was also silicone and was going for a reduced price of $2. As much as I loved the food and kitchen accessories, everything else in the store wasn't as interesting to me. Maybe I have visited too many HomeSense stores with cool items as of late. Other than my two items that I purchased, everything else was okay. I eventually made it to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a cheerful woman who helped me with my transaction. All went well. I'll come back down the road to check out the store some more. HomeSense stores have brand name merchandise for any room in your home including art, furniture, lighting and rugs. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other HomeSense stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. Staff are helpful and checkouts are fairly quick.

It felt more spacious than the GT that I visit in Whitchurch-Stouffville. I saw a brand of rye bread that I haven't seen since my days in Winnipeg. I used to get it all the time back then. There was a husband-wife couple walking in front of me. The man, in particular, was loud. He was doing most of the talking. A GT employee politely asked that he put on his mask. No wonder he was so loud. He walked in with his mouth fully flapping away. The grocery section is impressive. The produce looked fresh and inviting. I found my bag of avocados and was happy. There were more frozen food items than I have ever seen at any GT store. The cheese section had fancy varieties, such as dill and garlic. I had to get some. Even the egg offerings were diverse. Hard-boiled eggs. Liquid eggs (both yokes and whites). Liquid eggs (whites only). I was incredibly impressed. I am still not sure why plants are considered essential during this lockdown. I keep saying that it's because we need the oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange to live, but I don't know if my theory holds true. I lined up at the checkout area. The loud man with his wife were behind me. They were the only downside to my experience, but I was happy that I was ahead of him, because I could avoid dealing with his loudness by leaving the store first. The woman cashing me out was nice. She asked for my VIP membership number. You simply say your phone number and the GT employee can enter it into the system. I paid using my debit card and declined getting a plastic bag. The transaction was simple. I had a great experience at this GT. It was nice seeing different food items at this store. I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. (206)

Older stock will get discounted up to 70% (I think), but tags are sometimes not marked down yet, so ask and check the date on the tag to see if it might get further reduced. It's exclusively women's wear and accessories, but no shoes. While clean and orderly, the store probably hasn't seen a reno since Michael Jackson was black, but who cares? Not I. I needed some lunch, so I drove over to a restaurant to take care of my hunger. After my stomach was full, I worked it off by coming over to this Giant Tiger. There is a ton of parking in this plaza. I found a spot pretty close to the store's main entrance and walked in. This store is massive. I spent a good chunk of time here. Each Giant Tiger is different. This one has one of the better grocery sections. I found my favourite bagged cereal on sale. There were many frozen food aisles. I even saw Deep 'n Delicious cakes from my childhood. I wanted to get one, but knew that I could devour one in a sitting and decided to put it down. The fresh produce section is great. I saw everything from Sunkist navel oranges to celery. Valentine's Day had just past. All chocolates and merchandise were on sale. This store doesn't miss a beat with its Easter merchandise, though! I paid for my items with a debit card. The lineup was a bit long, but not horrible for a Saturday afternoon. Staff here are helpful and friendly. I like this Giant Tiger. I'd come back again when I'm in the neighbourhood. (77)
