Another failed delivery. Amazon needs to stop doing business with ontrac. 5th package not delivered on time. At least Amazon knows how to compensate. Ontrac sucks!!! read more

How can Amazon let OnTrac deliver packages?!? My package was "unable" to be delivered because OnTrac "could not" locate my address. They are complete liars because they successfully delivered packages TO MY DOORSTEP 3 times before. They would not pick up the phone, so I had to call Amazon for them to contact OnTrac. The representative had to call 7 TIMES to reach OnTrac. WHen I finally talked to the respresentative, she said she was sorry "that I felt that way" about my package and would send it today. I checked the status online and it has not been changed. I enjoy the benefits of Amazon Prime, however, if I continue getting my packages delivered through OnTrac, I will be cancelling my orders and even consider cancelling my Amazon Prime membership. It is not worth the stress and time. Update: They said that they delivered my package this afternoon at my doorstep. However, I found it by the trash cans and my parents (who were home) did not see anyone on our driveway. Lazy drivers, terrible service. read more

The worst of the worst, half the time the package never arrives. I think the drivers steal the packages. The companies I buy from always refunds me or resends using UPS, but if your shipping out I would stay 100% away from this so-called shipping company. The worst of the worst read more

After finding out a company I have done business with for years switched to these guys (and noticing they didnt have a depot anywhere in a city near me) I called them directly giving them explicit instructions to have the driver contact me when making the delivery. Not only did the driver not contact me, delivered the package to the wrong address, and that address is a mystery. I now have a $300 package floating around out there somewhere and nobody knows where it is. I highly advise against using this company or anyone who deals with them. read more

Ordered a computer from Newegg and they shipped via OnTrac. Never again! OnTrac has the worst customer service, useless tracking, and are just completely incompetent carriers. Make certain you NEVER select OnTrac as a shipper if you have a choice. It's been a week and I'm still trying to get OnTrac to deliver my computer. I've even asked them to ship via UPS and provided my UPS account number. They refused to do that. If they would have done it when I asked them, I would have had the computer 2 days ago. My home isnt that difficult to find. UPS, FedEx, and USPS have been delivering here for years. If the driver simply called the number on the package, I would guide them here. But they do not call, and they do not update their tracking status. read more

I would have given them a zero if I could, Ontrac is by far the worst delivery system in the world. There online tracking said the package was delivered to my front door today at 1:18PM. Nothing at front door, garage door, or backdoor, I walked down to check my mail which is about 100 yards from the house and found the opened package stuffed in the mail box. Do I need to file a formal complaint with my postmaster, it is my understanding that the mailbox is for postal workers only. Contents look OK, but opened and stuffed in the mailbox, is there no quality control at Ontrac? Does anyone know if there is a class action suit against Ontrac, I would love to join if one exists. I heard my box dropped on the ground. I happened to be by my door. It was dropped in the middle of my walkway for all to see when there is an obvious more secure spot to place packages. I am leaving a message with Amazon and the sellers to hopefully pick a different delivery. read more

I have had nothing but problems with Ontrac. Waiting on a package all day and at 7:47PM it gets switched from OUT FOR DELIVERY to REDELIVER NEXT BUSINESS DAY. Spent 16 minutes waiting to talk to someone the first time and 24 minutes the second time, I wanted to know if the delivery was going to happen. Really concerned that there is no customer service given the issues I have had with deliveries being dropped off at the gate by a busy road (which means they disappear). Was hoping that I was going to be home when this was delivered as the company has left packages at our gate next to a busy road which means no package by the time I get home. Hoping I get a package. read more

I've had two recent online orders that OnTrac was chosen to deliver. The first one NEVER made it to me! OnTrac never found out just who they delivered it to! The second order was delivered to me at 1 :00 am AND the driver rang my doorbell at that time! Horrible delivery company! read more

My story is the same as everyone else. Used Amazon Prime and was home all day waiting. Suddenly Amazon says the package was delivered to the front door of my home where 5 people were home all day. There is no way they even attempted to deliver this package. Total garbage and I will make sure Amazon is aware of this huge scam. Wondering if they just steal the products or just throw them away to save themselves the time of delivering them. If anyone creates a group complaint let me know. read more

Ontrac claims that the package was delivered to my front door. I have video footage showing nobody walking or driving on my 300 foot driveway. The only other way to the front door is jumping fences and bushwhacking. When I emailed Ontrac the following day,, they said they would get the driver back out here to find the package. The old saying..."Pay peanuts, get monkeys" applies to Ontrac... and to Amazon for continuing to use them... read more

INCOMPETENT IF NOT CRIMINAL. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST EVER! DO NOT USE. Unfortunately when you buy stuff on Amazon, you have no control over what shipping company they use. Every order delivered by OnTrac has either been days to weeks late, left in the middle of the road, in the rain, left on the side of the road no where near my house. Or, they say they delivered your packages and they didn't because you were home all day waiting for them and they never showed up. Particularly upsetting when packages are Birthday or Christmas presents for your child or supplies you really need. YOU CALL TO COMPLAIN YOU JUST GET THE RUN AROUND. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON THERE WHEN YOU CALL EITHER. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON AT LEAST 6 OCCASIONS. SHAME ON YOU AMAZON FOR USING THIS COMPANY. read more

OnTrac has got to be the worst in delivering packages. I use Amazon Prime and only OnTrac fails to deliver on time and makes up a hundred excuses for why they are late. One package was lost for five days before they were willing to admit that they couldn't find it. Never had this problem with UPS or Fedex. Even the post office does better, I hope Amazon gets the message by reading Yelp. read more

Two days late on there committed delivery promise on an URGENT order...Package was committed to "end of day 12/1/15 and it's STILL not here. No "holiday" delivery delays excuses are acceptable here. Absolutely the worst carrier i have ever used! I have been using them for two years now and they are getting worse. I've had 10 packages late for more than 5 days when I'm under contract for two day delivery. They are delivering packages to me from 80 miles away and it takes 5 days! I'm done! Changing my contract to UPS! read more

Is it possible to give a -5? Worst.Delivery Service.EVER. 2 separate instances these clowns have delivered to the incorrect address. The second time they tried to deliver but went purely on GPS instead of using their brains and looking at the street address ON THE HOUSE AND PAINTED ON THE CURB. It's a shame Amazon Prime uses you because this particular warehouse is garbage. If you used ONTRAC and expect the package on a particular date, add a week to that. They may or may not lose it by then, deliver to the incorrect address or the driver may be so dense that he/she can't find your address. read more

Order placed on Amazon. Got the dreaded OnTrac shipment tracking number from the vendor in Los Angeles. Package was supposedly delivered Friday. Tracking showed it was delivered. BUT WHERE is still the question. Driver supposedly came out and looked, but couldn't find where he thought he left the package. Again, not sure where was being searched. I was home most of Friday and there was no sign of anyone. Keep up the good work Ontrac. read more

My experience below was improved by the exceptional management that addressed my concerns and made me feel I have value as a client. Some of the workers need to adopt this attitude and they will shine. WORST delivery company ever. They told us when an iphone was to be delivered, and my wife took the day off work to wait for it. Tracking stated it was out for delivery at 7:30 am. At 7:00 PM i get a notification saying that they knocked on our door and no one answered. When I complained and let them know someone was there all day, they change the story to The Delivery Driver Ran Out of Time. We wait the next day and I miss a family activity in order to be present when the phone is delivered and NOTHING. I've emailed them several times for a definitive answer as to delivery, but no answer in the response. Today when I spoke with Apple they said if it is not delivered the 3rd attempt, that they will cancel the order. I chose to have the phone delivered for the sake of time and convenience. OnTrac is anything but. I could have driven to get the phone myself 10 times by now, or driven to their corporate office in Arizona and back and STILL beat their delivery. Horrible. Will never use again and will advise everyone to not use. read more

They claimed that my shipment had the wrong address. Basically, it was the end of the day and the deliveryman was too lazy to find a house that was not in town. They returned the shipment, I paid for the shipping anyway and I have to pay shipping again to re-order stuff. Slimy. Lazy. Incompetent. read more

Don't use these guys unless you never want to receive your package. And oh don't expect a phone call or email to inform you you won't receive your package. I even offered to drive to their facility to pick up my package. I was informed I could not do that because they did not know where my package was located. Grainger sent a second package for delivery. Still no delivery 10 days later I'm tol it will be here in 2 more days. Excuses, excuses , excuses. How does this place stay in business. Use at your own peril. This cost me a whole week of work as I waited for my parts. I can't give negative stars or I would. They owe me for a week of lost work. read more

I have yet to get a package delivered to the correct door. In fact today a package did come to me but it was for the "Management Bldg" in the apartments I live in. It is impossible to miss this building!! It is right in front with a big sign. You would have to drive through it to miss it. I think the drivers just randomly pick a door and throw the packages out. Sheesh!! read more

I know OnTrac has gotten a bad rep in the past. But my experience with them so far has been nothing less than amazing. I always got my packages on time, if not earlier. Only complaint would be the tracking info isnt updated to the best that it could. I am so sad the website I frequent that used OnTrac for delivery has switched to UPS. My packages take about a week to arrive and are usually delivered after 5 PM while with OnTrac the max was 3 days and the packages were usually delivered by noon. I hope the site switches back to OnTrac. I would not hesitate to pay extra money for Ontrac to deliever my package! Thank you for the great service! read more

If I could give this service NO star I would. I have complained several times that their delivery guy(s) leave packages in the mailbox instead of bringing them to the front door. (Packages have also been mis-delivered, lost, and left in on the ground next to the mailbox). It has happened yet again! I have finally filed a complaint with the US Postal service. This is not my first review of this company, but I hope it will be my last read more

This is the worst delivery service ever. Worst! We had three deliveries from them. First one, the delivery person threw the package, a I-Phone!, over the gate on to the brick walkway leading to our home. I went out and spoke to the delivery guy, he stated he could not open gate. Right, all other delivery companies and USPS can do it! He looked pretty unprofessional, stunk of cigarette smoke. Twice after they delivered packages, which they toss over the gate. Yesterday, they erroneously delivered an AMAZON prime package to us. We called OnTrac and told them immediately. We were told that they would pick it up today. Nope - they did not. The person who ordered through AMAZON prime has to wait because they are not organized and probably could not care less. I read other YELP reviews . The branch operating here on the Monterey peninsula is the worst. Don't use them! read more

I'm in Hollister CA, they never deliver on time, my Amazon prime 2 day delivery is now two days late, went out for delivery the last three days still no package. I don't believe it's the drivers fault, upper management is loading them down with too much product to deliver in one day, that's what the drivers have told me. read more

Like many have alreay said, Tracking says delivered, but no delivery was made. I was home the day they "delivered" the package. I called customer service asking about the package. they said they would send out the driver the next day to make sure he delivered it to the right house. Again I was home all day and no one showed up. I get a call from ontrac and im told that the driver said he went to my house and he remembered that he put my package next to another package delivered by ups. I tell the guy that i was home all day on both days and no one showed up. he repeats what the delivery driver told him. i tell him again that i was home all day, no one showed up.also that I didnt have anything delivered by UPS on either day.The customer service rep stayed quiet and then asked me if i wanted amazons customer service number. I have survailance cameras on my property, one is pointed at my garage doors, which is where the delivery guy said he left my package. i reviewed both days just to make sure i didnt miss him (which is hard to do as i can see who comes down my driveway from any room in my house.) no one showed up. good thing amazon is sending a replacement. I hope amazon doesnt send it through them again. what a shady buisness. read more

This is the third time that this company has marked a package as delivered to my house when it has not. Terrible service/company.

This service is absolute garbage! My package was never delivered and when I called nobody could give me a straight answer. Their customer service on the phone is also horrendous. The woman who helped me gave me so much attitude and was not apologetic at all. Will never use this again! read more

My experience with on trac CUSTOMER SERVICE was amazing... Deleviery drivers not so much! My first package was sent to SANBORN road instead of SAN BENANCIO road... I called the customer service and spoke with "Kirby" and he was AMAZING!!! HE found the address that the idiot driver went to, called the driver to pick it up, had issues with getting the driver out there but Kirby stayed in touch with me the next 3 days letting me know every step of the way where my package was going! He was extremely helpful through the whole missing package fiasco! Next package was not delivered to my address at all, I live on a ranch with little neighbors and it's kind of hard to get onto the property without being noticed. I called JULIE from customer service and she was amazing also! She sent the driver back out immediately and boom, there's my package.!!! The people on the 800 number are just amazingly helpful. It's very rare to find someone on an 800 that 1. Speaks English well and 2. Actually cares about helping you. Thank you kirby and Julie for making my on trac experience better than it started out to be!!!! Maybe hire some smarter drivers though...... read more

If I could give OnTrac less than 1 star, I would. WORST carrier ever! I just told Chewy that I was dumping them (even though I LOVE Chewy) because they don't give you the option to choose another carrier. I've had 3 deliveries in the last two weeks that showed up DAYS after their tracking showed they had delivered. Plus, they left the boxes at my mailbox, 1/2 a mile from my house, instead of delivering to my home like UPS and FedEx do. As a bonus, one of the boxes and the contents were crushed! I don't know how these guys stay in business, or why anyone would contract with them. read more

VERY HORRIBLE EVERY PACKAGE THAT GETS DELIVERED BY ON TRAC IS "LOST"! Is there a minus -5 rating? That's what I rate this delivery service. Twice in one week they did not deliver my Amazon orders. First time marked undeliverable and sent back and second time after I reordered it never showed up on the due date. Same week. When I contacted customer care there are no apologies only a standard response about delivery commitments and check the zip code area on their website. Why do I care about the zip code area? I was told by Amazon my package would arrive in 2 days and both times failure. I responded to that email they sent to me to complain and they sent the same exact email back to me! Robot responses. What a joke! Why does Amazon use this poor excuse of delivery? They mark packages undeliverable when they want to quit work early and don't feel like going to the destination. BEWARE of this company. Contact Amazon and let them know you won't order from Amazon if they use ONTRAC They are thief's!!! amazon doesn't let you choose the carrier. If you get Ontrac as a shipper cancel your order or the driver will steal it! read more

They need to update their tracking system and report when something will be delayed. It's simple, the other carriers do it. I hope Amazon drops this company. read more

ZERO STARS. This company is a thief! They are absolutely horrible. I have had four packages that have shipped from them and never were delivered but on the tracking information say delivered! This leads me to believe the employees must keep the items for themselves! I will absolutely NEVER order from a company that uses On Trac for shipping. I am going to take this as far up as I have to, to ensure these crooks go out of business and stop robbing people of their packages! This is clearly an ongoing issue since almost all of the reviews say the same thing read more

I placed my order through Amazon and based on the delivery location, I'm assuming this is the correct one shipping courier. I rarely leave bad reviews but this is very disappointing and I'm upset I never received my package despite the (4) separate phone calls I made to Ontrac to check the eta. I was given (4) different answers and none of them were accurate. They "paged" the driver to get a better eta but never one response in return. I had to drive to the delivery location twice, wasting most of my day, waiting around for my package. After I gave up on picking the package up from my delivery location. I checked the status of the tracking online and was basically told they apologize for the delay in the package but it won't be available for the next few days! I mean seriously?? No notification or call even though every single representative of OnTrac promised a call back and made a note of my call on the account. FOUR TIMES!!! I called FOUR times and still never got an answer nor a package. read more

I will give this people 0 if there is less. First time they lost a package. Said that the package was delivered in front door and I was in the house the whole day. Package was lost. Now, bought through Amazon 1 day delivered and the message was that the package was delayed because of natural disaster in Salinas, when the fires are 250 miles north. Called and the Representative told that driver could not get the address. Can they call. Trying to understand this people. read more

Unfortunately sephora uses this company for their deliveries. I always have issues with this company. I was supposed to receive a package today and of course it didn't get here. I called customer service about information on the package at 5:40. They said that it should be here by 7:00 pm. My apartment has a gated lock that I manually have to open for them. I had informed the dispatch about it. I asked what kind of vehicle the driver would have so I can keep an eye out because of this reason. He said it would be a white van with an ontrac logo. After I hung up, I got comfy on my patio facing the street and waited. I never seen any car with an ontrac logo. I did however see a red moving truck without a logo with 2 men inside, parked across the street. They were there for about a minute and then took off. A little later I checked the status update and it said "UNDELIVERABLE"! The red truck didn't have a ontrac logo nor did anyone get out of the vehicle. My husband wasn't home and there wasn't a chance in hell I was going to cross the street and go up to 2 random men and ask if they have a package for me. I was and still am pretty livid about the situation. I noticed other people had issues with receiving packages to apartments as well. I would pay extra to avoid this delivery service all together! read more

Let me preface this review with the fact that the shipping history says it went through Ontrac's Monterey facility and the only one in the area I found was listed as a Salinas, CA address so this review may be for the wrong office. I think the problem however is probably systemic and indicative of the way the company as a whole does business so I will elaborate on the totally lousy service I received. I ordered some merchandise from Drugstore.com and the package was scheduled for delivery on 3/16/2012 but didn't arrive until 3/20/2012. Ontrac website said delay due to bad weather. I guess these guys don't go out in the rain. Next Ontrac shipped my package to UC Irvine on 3/16 instead of to me at my address in Boulder Creek. After figuring out their mistake, they shipped it back to Monterey for redelivery on 3/19. On 3/19 I got a voicemail saying they needed directions to my house and had to reschedule delivery again. I called and gave the person explicit directions but she took editorial license and edited several things like "go exactly 2.1 miles" to "go about 2 miles", and "go 0.8 miles" to "go about a mile", etc. When I pointed out the changes, the person told me that she was trying to fit it in the message to the driver so he could see it and why wasn't what she wrote adequate. I told her because when when people don't follow my directions they get lost but she sent her version anyway. On 3/20 the driver called on his cell phone to tell me he was lost, and when he described where he was, it was obvious he hadn't even followed the directions the dispatcher wrote and had read back to me. He also had a Sprint cell phone that doesn't work in the Santa Cruz mountains and during the six calls I made back to his number, he kept loosing signal, the conversations were totally broken up, and we couldn't communicate successfully. I called the 800 number back, explained the situation to a dispatcher and spent more than 20 minutes of my time and cell phone minutes with the dispatcher who was trying to relay information to the driver by text messages. When I complained that they shouldn't send drivers into the Santa Cruz mountains with Sprint cell phones because there is no Sprint coverage up here, her reply was we don't provide cell phones for our drivers, they are contractors and use their own phones. I was finally able to steer the driver to my address and the package was left for me as instructed as I was not home on 3/20 however when I returned later in the day and found the package, the glass coffee pot inside while packed adequately was shattered. Drugstore.com agreed to replace the item and rush it to me via overnight UPS no charge, however I will not do any more business with a company that uses OnTrac for delivery. read more

Run, consumers, run. RUN AWAY QUICKLY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Save yourself from frustration and pulling out your hair!! The only reason they've even received one star is because of a wonderful woman, in customer service (who is located in Arizona) who tried her best to help me. Otherwise OnTrac out of Salinas/Monterey would be receiving a -10 score and rapidly going downhill. I order large amounts of merchandise, particularly at Christmas, from Amazon who used UPS and FEDEX...aka reliable, careful, efficient, conscientious delivery service I could count on. About 2 years ago this joke of a company was added for deliveries. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND THEN EVEN WORSE THAN HORRIBLE if there's such a thing. I have seen them drop my packages out the passenger window onto my walkway (they didn't know I was watching from upstairs), they've damaged packages bad enough that items with liquid in them broke damaging the other items and Amazon had to send me a message saying they were crediting my account (package didn't even make it to my house), they've not been able to find my house...even with GPS and directions by phone at their disposal..., they've left packages close to my road where someone could just take them, and the newest is they've delivered almost $300 worth of items in two boxes, their tracking system states it was signed for by "garage", and the packages are no where to be found (could have been taken by someone driving by). Customer service attempted to contact the driver who is not calling them back and customer service is unable to reach the supervisor/manager over the driver...so it's been moved up to a higher level now. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you like gambling...because it's always a crap shoot with them. Actually...you could probably make a lot of money betting against them because the odds that your package would arrive as it ought to is somewhere between slim and nil. In the meantime...OnTrac out of Salinas/Monterey County has once again won the prize for my kids not receiving something for a major holiday or birthday on time. Thank you SO MUCH OnTrac for doing such a bang up job (no pun intended... although I am wondering how many items are broken in the latest packages handled by them... IF they're ever found!!!)...at helping disappoint my kids. OnTrac is an awesome advertisement for choosing UPS and FEDEX!! read more
